Alex could very clearly recall the connection that existed between him and Shumi, the feeling that grew between the Sun God's body and the Moon Goddess's body. He knew how srizing it was, so its lack was very much noticeable too.

He wondered why that was, why he couldn't sense it at all. But then, there were a lot of things he couldn't sense. Given how Dao itself didn't work inside the do, he could imagine why he lacked the connection.

Shumi stepped forward, a look of wonder in her eyes. "He's not lying, Sister Xin. We must have t before. I can tell."

Alex raised an eyebrow. "Do you… sense sothing?" he asked. He wondered if, because Shumi wasn't affected by this ice do, the connection she felt was unaffected as well.

Shumi kept staring at him. "Yes, I can sense it," she said. Now that she was no longer trying to kill him, she could better grasp her own feelings. Beyond just wondernt, a look of doubt began creeping up on her face, accompanied by worry.

She stepped forward, her breathing sowhat uneven.

"What is going on?" she asked. "Are you doing sothing? Sister Xin, can you tell what is happening to ?"

Fairy Xin didn't say anything. The expression beyond her veiled face was unreadable as well.

Alex looked at the situation and felt the desperation in him lower by the second. If they knew who he was, maybe they would let him go now. That was all he could hope for.

He looked back at Shumi, finding it difficult to keep his eyes away from her. His inner self still questioned who she was. Was she his master's reincarnation or just soone who happened to share the body? How could he find out?

Shumi's breath grew even more haggard as she unknowingly began stepping closer to Alex. Before she could get too close, however, the other woman stopped her.

"Are you feeling alright?" she asked.

"I… I don't know," Shumi said. "Sothing is happening, sothing strong. It's like… he's pulling toward him."

Fairy Xin pushed her backward. "That's it, then. Dui, I will help you. You can start."

Alex felt the firmly holding coldness around him tighten even harder. The woman had rely been stopping him from leaving previously, and now she was fully intent on stopping every single muscle in his body from moving.

Even his heart beat slower because of the grasp around his body. The power of a Divinity was too strong for him.

"No, don't kill him," Shumi shouted. "Stop it."

"Step back, Shumi. Don't forget why we are here," Fairy Xin said while gesturing for Windborn to start.

"He's the one who saved my life. He's important. Please, find soone else," Shumi begged, but Fairy Xin had no intention of listening to her.

"It is too late," Fairy Xin said. "He is the best candidate out of all."

Windborn arrived right next to Alex and grabbed his head with his two palms. Alex only saw the man when his eyes were pointed toward him along with his head. He could see the urgency in the man's eyes, as if he needed to do this quickly.

Alex knew he couldn't let this happen, and yet he failed to even struggle. The one whose grasp he was in was far too strong for him. And still, he needed to struggle.

Windborn got closer and closer, and Alex knew he could not let this happen.

There was only one thing he could do now, a single attempt at escape. He would have to put all of his hope on this.

Instantly, Yang burned through his insides, getting rid of all the coldness that had penetrated him. It seeped into every corner of his body, bringing back life and vitality to it.

But it wasn't over there. The Yang overflowed, pouring out of his body through every node of his ridian. The snow gathered on his head and shoulders lted imdiately, followed by the ones that fell around him.

Instantly, everything in a small area around him lted.

His Yang was strong, so strong that it could burn away anything. He bet on the fact that it could probably burn away whatever was around him too.

Fairy Xin stepped back in shock, her gasp a clear sign of it. Windborn shouted in pain as he stepped away as well.

Shumi alone didn't move as she continued staring at Alex, the feeling inside her growing stronger at the mont. Alex felt that too.

Shumi stepped forward now, getting closer to Alex. She didn't know why she had to get closer, but she knew she had to. Her body asked for it. As she did, she began feeling the heat from his body and unconsciously began pouring out her own Yin to fight the heat.

The burning Yang and the freezing Yin closed in on each other. Instead of the Yang and Yin diminishing each other, however, the two auras sought to ruin the other.

Just as Shumi appeared right in front of Alex, the two powers reached a state of chaos, releasing all the unstable energy around them in an explosion.

Both Alex and Shumi were blown away by the explosion, flying in opposite directions. Fairy Xin protected herself in a layer of aura while simultaneously reaching for Shumi too. But when the explosion reached her, the veil was lifted wide open, revealing a look of horrifying shock clear in her eyes.

She could not believe what had just happened.

She was shaken for a long mont before she looked to her left in the distance, where Alex was embedded onto the ice wall. Windborn was on the snow-filled ground so distance away, recovering from the explosion.

She looked to the right and saw Shumi right next to the wall as well. She moved instantly, arriving next to Shumi to check on her. She felt horrible about failing to protect Shumi at that mont and worried she was hurt.

Thankfully, it seed that Shumi had only been knocked out from the explosion. She had buffered the force of the explosion just enough that Shumi wasn't hurt by it.

Then, she slowly turned her head back toward the location where the explosion originated. She failed to understand what exactly had happened, but the aftermath was clear.

On the floor where the young man was frozen by her powers, a layer of fresh grass showed, lacking any and all snow. Everything around where he stood was a puddle of water, and the snow beyond that had been spread away by the explosion.

That by itself wouldn't have been so shocking to her, but as her head tilted upward, she saw the true reason for her fear.

Up in the ice do, over a dozen ters away from where the explosion took place, was a two-ter-wide hole. Fairy Xin could see the afternoon sky from that hole.

She was shaken to her core at that mont after seeing the blue sky, for the sky was proof that Alex had blown open a hole in her domain.

A proof that two Immortal realm cultivators had just broken through the strongest skill of a Divinity.
