Alex found it hard to remain surprised by the 4th ti when Palesilver made another 100% pill. By now, he knew for certain she had a way to improve the probability of calling pill clouds.
Alex could think of four different ways she was doing it.
The first was the simplest way, which was to just do it. As long as one made no mistakes and employed the best pill-forming technique, they could get a 100% pill. This was what he was doing.
The second thod was to use Pill Compounding. By using more than the required ingredients, one could have a much higher quantity of energy remaining at the end. So long as the alchemist just compressed the powder and not the energy, the chances of filling it completely were much higher.
The third thod was similar to Pill Compounding, except instead of compounding the powder, one just destroyed the unnecessary amount, keeping just what they needed. So long as the energy was in surplus at the end, the probability of calling the pill cloud was always higher.
Finally, the last thod was the easiest, which was to use World Defying Mushrooms.
He wondered which one she used.
The ingredients for the fire and water pill appeared before him as he needed to make the pill one more ti. With each passing pill, he was getting better and better at making it.
He did not need to focus as much on making the pill anymore.

* * * * * * Leafheart sat in a field of orange.
Half of her clothes had long since been stained in that color, and now the ground looked the sa in an area around her, except for different crisscrossing lines on the floor. Everything around her that did not have any energy had been stained, which was why the formation lines remained uncolored.
She looked up at the bracket, waiting. Her opponent was strong, so she was ready for the result, as it had been for the last four tis.
100%.
Faithseeker's na showed the number once again.
A sigh left her lips as she looked toward the Divinity.
"You'll have to make your pills once again," the man said.

Leafheart nodded and pulled out the ingredients for the sa pill again. She placed them before her and, in that mont, also pulled a small bottle. She opened the stopper and looked inside.
There were three more pills.
That… was annoying. She had thought seven would be enough, but at this stage, it might just not be. And sadly, she didn't have the chance to make more.
The pill Leafheart had prepared was a pill that got a person more attuned with Earth aura. Using the Nine Star Jewel fruit as the major ingredient, she had managed to co up with a recipe for a pill that could help one get closer to understanding the Dao of Earth.
By now, she had made 11 of these pills, of which four had ford Pill Clouds. She just had to continue doing that.
Her large cauldron activated, floating a bit above the ground. Similarly, the surrounding three smaller cauldrons flew up around it in unison. All of the cauldrons were open-top, with nothing to stop the energy from escaping.
That was where her flas would be used.
Orange flas appeared below the cauldron, casting the entire area in a glow of orange once again. The longer the glow lasted, the thicker the orange stain would be.
The flas were called the Dyeing Sunset flas. They had less temperature than normal flas in general, but they had the unique property of overwhelming any energy into submission.
It was thanks to this very fla that she didn't have to worry about the energy escaping.
The flas roared around the central cauldron, covering it all the way to the top.
As the smaller cauldrons revolved around the larger cauldron, Leafheart placed the first ingredient into the smaller cauldron that was closest to her.
Then, as the cauldrons continued revolving, she placed the second ingredient into another cauldron and the third into the next one.
The orange flas focused on the first cauldron, and she used the ti to refine it. Once the first cauldron was refined, the main cauldron spun, bringing the second ingredient before her.
As she refined the second ingredient, the energy from the first ingredient flowed into the main cauldron. Once she refined the second ingredient, the third cauldron ca before her, and the energy from the second cauldron went into the main cauldron at a steady rate of her choosing.
She knew just the right speed she needed.
Once she refined the third ingredient, the sa happened. When the first cauldron revolved back to her, it was empty by now. So, Leafheart placed the fourth ingredient and continued.
The smaller cauldrons spun around the main cauldron, and she refined each ingredient one at a ti. The powder remained in those smaller cauldrons.
When she finally refined everything and the last bit of energy flowed into the main cauldron, the resulting energy was exactly what she wanted. At this point, the main cauldron only had the energy, and the rest of the three that spun around it had the powder.
Normally, that powder would teleport into the main cauldron at the end, and she would form the pill. However, to get a 100% pill, she needed to do things differently.
Leafheart reached for one of the remaining three pills in her pill bottle and placed it into the main cauldron. It fell through the covering orange flas at the top that were keeping the energy at bay.
Once the pill fell through, Leafheart quickly refined it and released the ingredients back into the cauldron. Since it was the sa energy as what she had just ford, it mixed together without any reaction.
Once they mixed, the powder in the main cauldron was now useless. Because of the refinent process, their shapes were not what they needed to be, so Leafheart pulled just the powder out of the cauldron, while the flas kept any energy from getting into it.
The powder was dyed orange when it ca out, signifying its lack of energy. Leafheart let the powder spray next to her and then teleported the remaining powder from the three cauldrons into the main one.
From there, she had the simple task of forming the pill into a perfectly symtrical sphere—which was quite easy as most techniques allowed for that to happen—and then pouring the energy into the pill.
Given the amount of energy in the cauldron, she had a very low chance of failing. The sky rumbled with pill clouds, and Leafheart breathed out a sigh of relief.
She protected her cauldron from five Pill Lightnings, and when it was all over, she brought out the pill.
The pill ca out with five pill veins and no orange stain to it at all.
Leafheart handed over that pill and had the Divinity look it over. The pill was accepted, which was expected, and then she looked over the brackets once again.
To her horror, Faithseeker had once again managed to reach 100% with his pill.
"Dammit!" she muttered in anger.
She was not expecting to have to make this many pills in just the quarterfinals.
