The battle between Grimsight, Killshot, Artifact God, Beast God, and her beasts was sothing no individual would want to miss. The techniques and skills being shown there were at a level that Alex had never before seen in his life.
A single one of these skills, if it wasn't blocked, would destroy the entire city. The laws and intent that were at battle were not sothing Alex could easily understand as weak as he was.
Godslayer constantly scread for him to let him out, but Alex held him at bay. There was sothing wrong with the spirit, and he didn't want it to ruin the situation any further than it already had.
"It seems you have cald down," a voice said from Alex's left.
Alex turned and found a young man standing re paces away from him. A sort of golden liquid flowed around him, encircling him. He knew who this man was from what Grimsight had called him before.
The Weapons God.
"Are you able to talk now?" the Weapons God asked.
Alex, still covered in his master's silver mist, slowly nodded. "I can, Weapons God. What would you like to ask of ?"
The Weapons God seed to appreciate him replying. He stepped in closer. So close to Alex, the Weapons God looked like the younger brother, and yet he was a hundred thousand years older than him easily.
"What do you want with life?" the Weapons God asked. "Why do you cultivate?"
Alex was taken aback by the question. It wasn't sothing he had expected the man to ask him. It wasn't sothing he had given a lot of thought about.
"I do not know," Alex said. "There is nothing I want to do in life except to live and be happy with the people I love and care about."
The Weapons God seed to not have expected such an answer, especially from soone who was the greatest alchemist of the younger generation and soone who was about to die.
"That is it? That is all you want?" the Weapons God asked.
"There are a thousand different goals I have in life, but none of them are as important to as the safety and longevity of the people I care about. So long as I can achieve that, everything else will happen in due ti. Even if it does not happen, I won't be disappointed."
Alex wasn't sure if giving such a simple answer to the Weapons God when his life was at stake was a good idea, but this was the type of person he was, and so he chose not to lie.
The Weapons God mused on Alex's words for so ti.
Alex waited for the man to make the decision of whether to kill him or not. If he chose to attack, could Alex defend at all? Could even Silvermist defend?
It was unlikely. The man before them was a god, and he hadn't gotten there for no reason. His threat was one Alex could not so easily ignore.
"I want you to tell sothing, and I want you to be absolutely truthful about it," the Weapons God said. "Do you think you have the potential to one day destroy the world?"
"I would never destroy this world, your maje—"
The Weapons God stopped him. "I'm not asking what you will do. I'm asking what you're capable of. Your potential, is it there?"
Alex forced himself to take a mont to consider the question. Was it possible that he would destroy the world? He didn't want to believe it, but considering the pace at which he was improving, not to ntion the fact that he had the body of a god…
"I will say that I would never destroy the world, but yes, I do have the capacity," Alex answered truthfully.
"Disciple!" Silvermist quickly said, surprised by Alex's answer. Even Pearl hadn't expected him to answer that way.
The Weapons God narrowed his eyes. "You say you can destroy the world? What do you have that you can make such a claim?" he asked.
"My talent," Alex said proudly. "Allow to cultivate without obstruction, and I will far surpass you all. While I will never use that power for evil, I will have the capacity then."
The Weapons God scoffed. "For a man who said he did not want anything with life, you have big aspirations."
"These are no aspirations, Your Majesty. I am simply answering your question. I am at death's door; I have no reason to lie or boast," Alex said.
The Weapons God stared at Alex for a long while before grinning. "Now I am curious what talent of yours gives you so much confidence," he said. "Alas, seeing the situation, I may never see it."
As he finished speaking, the man turned to his left as if looking toward sothing.
Alex turned in the sa direction, and so did Silvermist and Pearl.
They looked just in ti to see that the Sword God had moved away from the Alchemy God and was attacking.
The Sword God released a sword slash, and Silvermist imdiately acted. He brought out a large shield to protect himself, creating a barrier before him. However, the barrier was easily destroyed by the sword slash and cut through Silvermist's arm as it made its way toward Alex.
Pearl stepped in, roaring. A large white tiger appeared from within him, the defensive power left within him by Bai Jingshen.
The slash easily tore through it as well.
Alex acted instantly, taking away Pearl. Had he not done that, Pearl would have been eviscerated by the sword slash. However, while he managed to save Pearl, he himself was without much protection.
The silver fog around him slowed the attack by a great degree, but no matter how weak, a Divinity's attack was still too much for Alex to stop. When the silver fog failed, the attack reached Alex.
The attack did not just cut through Alex, but also shredded his body at the sa ti.
The Sword God's Sword Intent turned Alex into a pile of flesh with that single attack.
