In the depths of the desert, far away from any other civilization, was the hidden land where the Endless Night sect lay.

The people of this sect were very careful about letting others know where their sect was because of all the secrets it held.

The sect was large, located inside cavernous canyons with large rock walls surrounding them at all tis, freshwater branching from Northsword flowing right through their sect.

A man flew down from the sky and gently landed on top of one of the rocks with a few people staying on top.

"I have a ssage for the Grand Elder," the man said.

The n gestured for him to enter. "The Grand Elder should be in the workshop."

The man with the ssage walked into the sect, making his way toward the workshop. Along the way, he stopped by to look at sothing that lay in the center of the sect, surrounded by over 20 guards.

It was a tal formation on the ground with sothing floating atop it. A cylinder with so white stones within it.

'Just 9 more years,' the man thought and continued on.

The Endless Night sect was so large that it took him half an hour to reach the Grand Elder even though he made his way to him as quickly as he could. When he arrived, the Grand Elder walked out carrying sothing.

The Grand Elder of the Endless Night sect was an old man with thin gray hair. The old man's hair was slightly long, which he let be as it is. His two long horns that grew close to his head reached so far back that they reached the back of his skull.

Many people had horns, but none were ever as long as the Grand Elder's.

The Grand Elder carried with him a small tal plate. The man realized that he had ford a tal plate base for a formation to be used to do… sothing. The man couldn't really tell.

"Grand Elder, I have an important ssage to deliver," the man said, handing over a talisman.

The old man gestured with his hand as if he did not care. "I need to take this to a village. Tell the ssage yourself."

The man hesitated and read the ssage to make sure he didn't miss anything.

"Soone has co from outside of Hell," the man said.

The very first sentence caused the old man to pause. "Again?" he asked.

The man nodded. "And he wishes to join our sect."

"More like he wishes to use our sect," the old man said and moved.

The man followed.

"What should our answer be, Grand Elder? Should we say yes?"

The old man grumbled. "Damn outsiders."

"Uh…"

"No, we're not letting him join. Let him do whatever he wants. If he starts acting out, show him his place. Bastard probably thinks we are weaker just because we aren't experienced in anything outside of this world."

The man gave an awkward smile. "I don't think that would be a problem," he said. "This newcor is only in the Immortal Origin realm."

"Even less of a reason to let him join the sect," the old man said. "If he really wants to join, let him go through it normally. I no longer have the will to deal with these outsiders."

The man was quite taken aback. He was sure the old man would've been surprised. After all, there hadn't been a newcor to this world in a long, long ti.

The man himself had been alive for over 50 thousand years at this point, and this was definitely the very first one since then. At least, one they knew about.

"He says that he knows alchemy and can help us. If we are to trust his words, he is a really good alchemist."

"We don't need an alchemist. We're doing fine as we are."

The man nodded.

"Is that all?" the Grand Elder asked.

"There is sothing we got from him. It's about the Hell Emperor," the man said.

"What about him?" the Grand Elder asked.

"This newcor said that the Hell Emperor safely made his way out of Hell. However, he has since then died after living a long ti," the man said. Even as he said it, he didn't know how he felt about it.

The Hell Emperor was such a significant historical person that learning the truth that had been a mystery for all this ti had legitimately surprised him.

The Grand Elder nodded. "I see."

The man was taken aback. "You don't care, Grand Elder?" he asked. "But… wasn't he your disciple?"

"That bastard is not my disciple anymore," the Grand Elder said with a bit of a grumble. "Besides, I knew that already. That is no new information for ."

The man narrowed his eyes. "How could you have known?"

The Grand Elder looked at him. "Is there anything more?"

The man read through the talisman again and shook his head. "The newcor is staying in our branch over at the Dunefall city. He is waiting to hear from us."

"You have the answer then," the man said. "If that is all, leave be."

"Yes, Grand Elder."

The man left.

The Grand Elder walked by himself, thoughts roaming in his mind. The news about the Hell Emperor was sothing he had received a long ti ago, but hearing about him again reminded him of the young man from all the way back then who had been sent here when he was only a young man.

There was a ti when he cared about such individuals. But kindness had only led him to pain. There was no more place in his heart for these people.

If it had only happened once, it would be one thing. But twice? No.

The old man didn't want to think about the past anymore. He quickly threw away all the thoughts he had and looked at the tal plate he had.

'I should hurry,' he thought. 'Those children will be waiting for .'
