Bladedance felt her heart beat fast at the mont, her eyes stunned at the sight before her. Alex still slumped before the sand with his head pressed against the ground. The young man had asked to be her disciple.
HER.
Could she?
She had never really thought of getting a disciple. She wasn’t against it, but she never actively searched for it either. Many had co, requesting to join her, but even the most talented ones had rely beco a subordinate to her, not a true disciple.
However, not a single one of them had ever been as talented as the young man before her. She had never t soone this talented.
Every part of Bladedance’s instinctual being told her that she needed to accept him right away. She couldn’t let a chance such as this slip out from her fingers.
However, the part that kept her alive was against this. The young man was dangerous.
Not because of who he was, or because of the prophecy.
But rather because of who he had inside of him.
Godslayer.
The dangers of Godslayer were ones she could not easily ignore. She had delayed the matter until now, seeing how he could not have done anything in Hell. But as things progressed, she couldn’t wait any longer.
The Tree and the Guardian tiger may have threatened her from doing anything to hurt the young man before her, but if Godslayer was still a threat, she would have to use force.
"Get up," she said.
Alex slowly raised his head. "Do you... accept ?" he asked in a hopeful tone.
"Where’s Godslayer?" she asked in a strict tone.
Alex froze. "Godslayer? He’s in my spiritual sea. He’s resting."
"What about the sword?" she then asked.
Alex’s eyes widened slowly. It seed she truly hadn’t forgotten. She had rely let him keep it for now.
"In my Soul Space," Alex answered.
"Bring it out," she said.
Alex took a mont, but seeing the look in her eyes, he dared not go against her command. He quickly opened the seal and brought out the pristine black sword that nearly looked like Midnight, except without the white specks.
He held it out to Bladedance, and she took it.
She scanned the sword with her Divine sense, making sure Godslayer wasn’t hiding in there. Once she found it empty, she placed it into her Soul Space.
"I need th—" Alex tried to stop her, but the sword was gone. She had taken it.
"Open your Spiritual sea. I need to go inside," she said.
Alex took a deep breath. "Are you trying to see if I’m lying about Godslayer?" he asked.
"Open it," she demanded.
"If I am not lying, will you take in as your disciple?" Alex asked.
Her eyes narrowed, demanding the sa thing with no words this ti.
"Just tell , senior. I will do as you say if you promise to make your disciple," Alex said.
She breathed out. "I’ll seriously consider it if you haven’t lied about Godslayer," she said. "Now, let in."
Her mind pressed against his, and Alex knew imdiately that if he didn’t let her in, she was going to force her way in. It was hard to say if the Storm God’s seal would stop her or not.
"I’ll open it," Alex said and did as he was asked.
The opening wasn’t big, but it was enough. Bladedance’s Divine sense slipped into Alex’s Spiritual sea, and soon the two of them were standing in the space above the murky water with the overcast sky above.
Godslayer’s crystal orb hung a short distance away, asleep.
But Bladedance’s eyes didn’t move toward it. Instead, her eyes went toward the massive glowing white orb that folded in on itself like a viscous fluid. And the red glowing orb next to it that was his half-baked blood devil in a fetal position.
"Such a large Origin," Bladedance said with a look of awe. "And... what is that?" She pointed toward the Blood Origin.
Alex hadn’t had the ti to hide it, nor did he think he could have hidden it. He could only answer.
"It’s a Blood technique of mine," Alex said. "It’s essentially using blood to emulate a regular origin."
Bladedance frowned. "Did you co up with this technique?" she asked, moving toward the red fetus. She looked at it, looking closely at the shape.
"I wasn’t the one who ca up with it," Alex answered as he followed her. "I learned it from sowhere else."
"This is the Blood God’s power," she said. "How do you have the Blood God’s technique?"
Alex’s eyes widened. "You know of the Blood God?" he asked. "Is he still alive? I have his manual."
"The Blood God’s Manual?" Bladedance asked. "That can’t be. That is a legacy treasure of the long-passed Blood God. That should be hidden safely in the..."
Her words trailed off. "They were part of the treasure from the War Deterrent Treaty. That was when it was stolen, wasn’t it?" she asked.
Alex nodded. He didn’t know about the na of the treaty, but he rembered Senior Yang clearly ntioning that the treasures were ant to be there to dissuade war. However, because of the existence of the World Tree, that was working against them at that mont.
So, he had stolen them and disappeared.
Bladedance was astonished to hear that. "Your luck is quite great. To find such a treasure is no small matter."
Alex nodded. He had gotten it by accident among the loot he had acquired from people who had attacked him, but that was luck too.
"Interesting," she said. "I didn’t interact much with the Blood God since he was before my ti, but I have heard about his techniques. He was known to make the battlefield full of bloody warriors. I would’ve loved to have seen him fight firsthand."
Alex was interested to hear more, but Bladedance had turned her attention toward the crystal orb.
She recognized it far too well to be mistaken for what it was.
"Wake up. Whether you are Godslayer or the Artifact God, let find out for myself."
