Alex recalled the Guardian Tiger’s suggestions and gathered his thoughts on what he had to do. The Guardian Tiger had given him four thods, but he couldn’t work with just four. Mixing and mashing those ideas together, he easily got over ten different thods.
So, in preparation, he started gathering so beast cores in order to form these Blood Beasts. Bladedance had given him a year’s ti, so he needed to make use of it appropriately.
He hadn’t made Blood Beasts in a while, so he was looking forward to this.
Alex opened the Soul Space and looked inside. "Pearl, do we have so Immortal beast cores?" he asked. "Master might’ve given so to , or so were part of those rewards from the tournant."
"I think I have so, brother," Pearl said quickly. "What do you need them for?"
"To make Blood Beasts," Alex said.
Pearl paused. "Do you perhaps need my father’s..."
"No," Alex quickly answered. "Until I understand this more, I won’t do anything with your father’s beast core. I need to make sure I’ve achieved all I’ve wanted to."
Pearl was thankful. "I’ll find so right away. I think we have a few."
As Pearl got to searching, Alex searched for sothing else as well. He had long ago received formation flags that could create a boundary in which all life aura ford within his Soul Space could be directly drawn into it.
It was sothing he had initially used to draw life aura into the two trees to help them grow stronger with help from Senior Yang. Now, he wanted it to pour Yang aura into the beast cores.
Alex searched for it for so ti, worried that sothing might’ve happened to it. He only found out later that Pearl had it in his Soul Space, and it was sothing he had gathered while on the outside of the Demon realm long ago.
"There wasn’t much, brother. But I hope these will be enough."
There were exactly eight beast cores that Pearl managed to find, nine if one counted the Azure Dragon as well.
’Eight...’ Alex thought. It didn’t feel nearly enough for the experint, but they would have to do. Immortal beast cores were near impossible to co by in the Immortal realms after all.
"Thank you, Pearl. You can leave it with mory. I will make use of them as I need."
Pearl returned to his daily cultivation, and Alex focused on the beast cores.
Alex wondered what he needed to infect with Sunheart and what he needed to pour the life aura into, trying to do all at once. But he quickly understood that he didn’t have to.
Trying to do it all at once was just going to ruin things for him. He needed to take this one step at a ti.
So, to start with, he made the regular Blood Beasts. Since he hadn’t made them in a long ti, he needed to see just how it was that the Blood Beasts were really made.
He got a cauldron from Whisker and began pouring his blood into the cauldron, which would be needed to form the body of the Blood Beast. Once the cauldron was more or less filled with his blood, he stopped.
So much of his Qi had been used up by his body right then in order to both form blood and add blood aura to it. Had he not had the Dao of Blood Aura or did not have a high enough stage of the Undying Physique, he would’ve had to wait a long ti to complete this portion of the task.
Now that he had done it, he pulled out one of the random beast cores from the thousands and thousands he had gathered in Hell and plopped it down into the blood.
Then, he began the process of forming Blood Beasts.
This part needed him to keep a very close eye on what he was doing. All this ti, he had made Blood Beasts simply by following what he was told to do, but now he had to understand what was happening to these beast cores.
Alex’s senses pierced through the sludge of blood aura, focusing only on the beast core.
As he followed everything happening, he noticed a stir in the weak spiritual energy leftover inside the beast core. It ca awake as the energy within the blood tried to pierce into it.
Alex thought he sensed it fighting back before it was snuffed right away. His blood was far too strong for the spirit in the beast core. The spirit hadn’t died, but it had been changed in a way, already forming the core of the Blood Beast.
Then, all that remained was for it to accept as much blood aura as Alex could give to it.
With the now corrupted spirit, the beast couldn’t absorb a lot of the blood aura. When the Blood Beast finally ford — a lizard-like beast with a long neck and sharp claws — it did not even have the strength of an Immortal.
Its strength had reached a bottleneck sowhere in the upper realms of the Saint realm. Alex was positively horrified to realize just how much of his blood aura had been wasted in forming this beast.
Since it had used the blood as its body, everything else in the blood had been stripped from it, the blood aura no longer to be used.
"That’s it?" Alex thought in surprise. He had always known sothing like this was supposed to happen. When Blood Beasts ford, if their cultivation base was stronger than his blood aura, then it would bottleneck at his blood aura.
However, if it was weaker than his blood aura, then it would et sowhere in the middle.
Reaching the higher realms of the Saint realm was the Blood Beast eting Alex’s blood aura sowhere in the middle.
This was far too weak. And he could only attribute it to the Blood Beast’s spirit being destroyed, wounded, and changed toward the start.
"I can’t let that happen," he thought. "I have to make sure the spirit doesn’t weaken. If possible, I need it to improve it."
