Alex hadn’t expected to see the sa Azure Dragon so quickly considering he had just seen it a week ago. From what he guessed, the beast was responsible for taking care of any issue outside of its clan that may require the aid of soone strong.
The dragon shrunk in size and flew into the ship. It stood next to the White Tiger, slightly taller in size, as though the White Tiger was beneath it in rank.
Alex suspected that was true based on how respectful they all were.
He wanted to talk to the dragon imdiately and ask it things about Pearl, but given the situation, he realized it was better off to just stay quiet.
He had sensed so hostility from the dragon based on what it considered to be a lie about Pearl. He had to maneuver carefully around that issue, likely not at all with Bai Jingshen’s presence. He didn’t know the history of the four clans, so it was better to wait for that.
The dragon also seed to be indifferent to humans in general. He understood that the beasts did not care about the humans, just as much as the humans did not care about beasts, but the beasts of the four clans seed to be even worse than the regular ones.
Alex looked toward Bladedance as her sword now carried Sword Aura with it. His eyes narrowed as he saw soft golden colors that were confird when he activated Demon Eyes again.
’Huh? So that’s not a technique,’ he thought. ’That’s genuinely golden Sword Qi.’
Bladedance struck up and the Sword Aura flew off, striking the lightning bolt halfway through the sky. The explosive sound and the violent shockwave that ca off it was even stronger this ti around.
Bladedance appeared slightly haggard to the observers but not so much that they would have to worry about her. At the sa ti, there were also four more lightning bolts to go through, each stronger than the last one.
She prepared Sword Aura again, the sa golden Sword Qi flashing around her, confusing Alex again.
’Golden, but why?’ Alex wondered. ’That’s tal aura definitely, but why is it with Sword Qi? How can you assign an elent to Sword Qi?’
He quickly thought through what he understood about Sword. He knew there were no stages that would give an elent to Sword Qi in the first four stages of the Sword. In which case, it had to be the last three.
He didn’t believe Sword Heart had anything to do with it, so the next step was the Dao Sword.
’Dao Sword... when you mix a Dao with your Sword Intent,’ Alex thought. He quickly rembered what Bladedance had said were her Daos. ’Dao of Sharpness and Dao of Cutting—they’re both tal Daos. She must’ve combined either of them or both as her Dao Sword, and that is what she’s been using this entire ti.’
Since Bladedance had added a Dao to her Sword Heart, it had led to there being an elental addition to her Sword Intent itself. With either of the two Dao added to her Sword Qi, Alex wondered if that perhaps made it stronger than it was before, or if part of the Intent was stripped away to make this elental change.
’Dao Sword,’ Alex thought. ’Dao mostly had a hand from Heaven, so maybe there is sothing else there.’
There was no answer for him yet. He would have to ask Bladedance later.
Bladedance threw out her sixth attack, the sword aura flying into the sky where it struck the sixth lightning bolt.
The entire barrier around the ship flashed bright orange as there was no part that wasn’t affected by the latest shockwave. It held itself still, but there was a fear that it would still be damaged if the attacks got stronger and stronger.
"8th realm!"
Alex heard those two words by themselves and turned toward the Azure Dragon who had spoken it. He had never seen a dragon in shock before, but even so, he could tell this one most certainly was.
The agape look of the dragon was a dead giveaway that it too was flabbergasted by the strength of the lightning bolts that Bladedance was handling.
’8th realm,’ Alex thought to himself. ’8th realm of what?’
Alex himself had strength in the Divine realm, whether it be his body, his blood, or his spiritual energy. If the 8th realm was rely in the Divine Creation realm, he would’ve long since recognized the strength of the tribulations.
The starting lightning bolts would’ve been far weaker, in which case he would have an answer as to how strong they were.
Since he didn’t know, the strength was definitely higher.
There was a possibility that it was the Divine Manifestation 8th realm that the Azure Dragon was talking about, but given Bladedance’s strength and the anomaly that had caused the Azure Dragon itself to rush here, it had to be stronger than just that.
There were plenty of other beings that were this strong in this world.
Which left only one choice.
The Divine Domain 8th realm. That was the level of lightning bolt that Bladedance was handling at the mont. And the next one would be stronger.
’3 more remaining,’ Alex thought. ’The next one will likely have the strength of Divine Domain 9th realm. And then sowhere at the peak of the entire Divine realm. Then after that...’
The Celestial Realm.
Alex was now fully convinced that he would bear witness to a strength that many died never knowing even existed in the first place.
The White Tiger and the Azure Dragon turned at the sa ti to their right, and Alex did so, following their gaze. When he did, he saw two figures appear next to their ship.
One was a dark-gray serpent with eyes black like obsidian. Its skin shined with a sheen like wet marble, reflecting the fabulous colors of red, blue, and orange of the fiery bird next to it.
After the earlier arrival of the Azure Dragon, now both the representatives of the Black Tortoise clan and the Vermilion Bird clan had shown up as well.
