Bai Weiwen was strong.
He was the most talented 4th Generation White Tiger, with a bloodline that was about as pure as the 3rd Generation, and had managed to reach the Divine Realm before everyone else in his generation.
At the mont, his cultivation base had reached the last Divine Creation Realm. As a result, he was treated with a respect that was usually due for a 3rd Generation White Tiger.
This also resulted in him being given tasks that would only be given to a 3rd Generation White Tiger as well, which was one of the reasons he had been allowed on this trip with the Patriarch.
Bai Weiwen was strong.
But before Bai Jingshen, he couldn’t lift a finger.
Each ti Bai Weiwen tried to fight back, Bai Jingshen would slam his paws onto the White Tiger’s face, slamming him onto the erald wall right next to him. Each ti, he would lose his consciousness for so ti before awakening and trying to fight again.
And again, he would get slamd onto the wall.
By the third ti, the wall had cracks all over it.
By the sixth ti, Bai Weiwen’s face was bleeding profusely.
By the ninth ti, the Patriarch himself had found out what was happening and had sent Bai Fulin to handle the issue.
Bai Jingshen turned around to see his aunt stand there with a shocked expression at the savagery that lay before her.
"What... what is this?" she asked.
Bai Jingshen opened his mouth to speak, but stopped when he heard Bai Weiwen’s low groan. He turned around and saw the White Tiger had regained his consciousness again and swung his paw at him one more ti.
Bai Jingshen then turned around with a smile on his face. "For good asure."
"JINGSHEN!" Bai Fulin’s words ca as a storm, her own aura surrounding Bai Jingshen.
Bai Jingshen grimaced a little. However strong he was, he couldn’t just fight his aunt. She was a beast in the Divine Domain Realm, and fighting soone so strong was not such a simple thing.
"My apologies for the disturbance, Aunt Fulin. I was rely teaching my cousin a lesson," Bai Jingshen said, turning back around toward the bleeding figure of Bai Weiwen. "A lesson that he will hopefully forever rember."
Bai Fulin, still furious, slowly approached Bai Jingshen.
Bai Jingshen slowly stepped back and out of the way. He wasn’t scared of many, but his aunt was a different matter. "He tried to get Pearl to fight back. He hurt Alex too. I was rely protecting them," he explained.
Fulin paused in her steps and turned toward Pearl and Alex. Pearl seed fine, but Alex had clearly been ssed with in so way. She could still feel an aura around him that belonged to Weiwen.
"Are you two okay?" she asked.
"Yes," Pearl said quickly.
"Brother Shen returned in ti and saved us," Alex said with a thankful look.
Fulin sighed in relief, perhaps more so for Alex than even for Pearl. She was the only one other than the Patriarch to understand just how important his survival was for their species.
She turned around toward Weiwen, her eyes narrowing. "They had to have at least soone coming here, so we thought at least he would be good. Looks like he’s just as bad as the rest of them."
"Damn Purists! I can’t tell if he was seriously thinking of going after Pearl or not," Bai Jingshen said. "He was pushing Pearl to fight back, so I think he was trying to get him to attack so he could have an excuse."
Bai Fulin sighed. "I feel like it’s my fault," she said with a sigh. "If only I hadn’t told them about Pearl."
"You can’t beat yourself up for it, Aunt Fulin," Bai Jingshen said. "You were away. You had no idea what had happened back at the palace. You were simply in the wrong place at the wrong ti. It wasn’t your fault."
Bai Fulin nodded. The unconscious body of Weiwen before them slowly floated in the air.
"I will take him back with ," she said. "I will also explain what happened to the Patriarch and the Azure Dragons. You guys stay in here and don’t cause any more trouble."
"I promise you, we won’t," Bai Jingshen said and stepped to the side, letting her take Weiwen away.
Bai Fulin reached the door and stopped. "Right, I nearly forgot. We will be leaving tomorrow morning, so make your preparations, whatever they are."
"Oh, that’s quite soon," Bai Jingshen said. "I was sure we would be staying a week or two longer."
"Plans changed. The Patriarchs will soon be eting with each other to discuss further on joining our families, so there’s no reason for us to stay here anymore," Bai Fulin said.
Bai Jingshen nodded with full understanding. "We shall be prepared to leave in the morning."
Bai Fulin left the room with the wounded White Tiger, leaving the three back in the room.
Bai Jingshen looked at the other two before smiling. "That was fun, wasn’t it?"
"You returned in ti, Brother Shen," Alex said with a deep sigh.
"Well, Pearl did call imdiately," he said, turning to Pearl. "You did good. You held yourself back well."
Pearl smiled. "He did say so an things. It was fun watching him get beaten."
Bai Jingshen chuckled. "I would’ve beat him more, but things would get annoying for , so we have to be okay with just this."
"This was more than enough," Alex said.
"Uhh... yeah, sure," Bai Jingshen said. "Anyway, I’ll go and continue searching around for more Azure Dragon blood. You two rest and don’t let anyone else co in. Hopefully I’ll have gathered so by the ti we return ho tomorrow."
Bai Jingshen turned to leave, but Alex stopped him.
"Actually, Brother Shen," Alex quickly said. "Can we not return ho tomorrow?"
Bai Jingshen paused in his steps. "You want to stay here longer? For what?" he asked.
"Not here," Alex said. "I want to go to the Phoenix Continent tomorrow instead. It’s about ti t with Scarlet."
