Bai Jingshen sat in the room next door with Pearl, constantly applying the barrier around them and Alex with the help of his earring.
He had known what was coming, and still, he couldn’t help but be surprised.
"People stop learning Daos after they reach the Immortal Realm," he said to Pearl. "Not because it’s not good, but because it takes too long a ti to learn them. All that effort could instead be spent on cultivating, which at this point leads to better outcos for them."
Pearl looked toward Bai Jingshen, waiting for him to speak further.
"But he... he is sohow doing both faster and is losing on neither front. His cultivation base is improving quite rapidly, and he is learning Dao on top of it. That’s... incredible."
Bai Jingshen had thought he had gotten used to the surprise that ca with being around the young human, but he was proven to be mistaken once more.
Once more, Alex had shown him sothing he had never seen before.
"Did Brother just learn a Dao?" Pearl asked.
"Yes," Bai Jingshen said. "But I can’t tell which one it is."
"It is not a Space Dao," Pearl said. "So it must be one of the Ti ones."
"I see," Bai Jingshen said. "Dao of Ti. There are many that would be okay with committing atrocities just to be able to start sensing Ti Aura, and here he is fully learning it. And he’s not even a thousand years old."
Pearl couldn’t help but smile. "That’s my Brother for you."
Bai Jingshen nodded. "And he’s far from done."

"Mother?" Scarlet called with an astonished look on her face. "That was a Ti Dao, right?"
"The main one," Xianhei said, her face frozen in bewildernt. "That young man... he just learned the Dao of Ti."
Scarlet felt her chest swell. "I told you he was incredible, didn’t I?"
"Ssh!" Xianhei quickly said. "That’s not all. He’s learning sothing else now. I... I can’t even tell what this Dao is."

Alex clung onto the Worldly Laws with his understanding of Ti and Space, keeping them to his side as he learned as much as he could from it.
He had learned the Dao of Ti, but that was not all. There was so much more to learn.
Unconsciously, he began learning the final bits of another Dao, and soon afterward, that Dao settled down on him as well.

The Matriarch’s face narrowed as she looked toward her daughter.
"That was the Dao of Temporal Awareness, wasn’t it?" she asked.
Feng Kangli was the only one among their group of four who had learned that Dao. She nodded in answer to her mother. "That certainly was it," she said. "How does a human of all manage to learn both the Dao of Ti and the Dao of Temporal Aura at the sa ti?"
"Ningzhu, you know more about him. Did he say how he learned it all?" the Matriarch asked.
"I... I don’t know," he said. "The only things he spoke of, in regards to Dao, was that he knew the True Fire Dao, and was close to learning Ti Dao. He wasn’t lying about that last part."
"Did he not tell you how he ca to learn it?" the Matriarch asked.
"I didn’t think to ask," Ningzhu said.
The Matriarch’s eyes narrowed. Her attention moved away at the sa ti, noticing that the Worldly Laws still remained down next to Alex, the maelstrom of energy completely surrounding it.
Thousands and thousands of Aura from the Worldly Laws attempted to mask the Aura of the Dao that was being learned. She could recognize the Daos Alex learned the first two tis, but this ti...
"Hmm... this is a new Dao for ," the Matriarch said. "Not one related to Ti. Does anyone know what this is?"
The rest of them were left shaking their heads, unaware of what they were sensing.

Alex learned the Dao of Spatial Contraction.
It had been sothing that was a long ti coming. Pearl had managed to learn it far before him, and he had tried to learn it all the ti. He had that chance back in Hell, so it was only natural that he finally learned it now.
He was beginning to co out of his trance. He was a little surprised he had even fallen into one. He hadn’t taken any pills for it after all.
The Dao of Spatial Contraction settled on him, but the Worldly Laws still had ways to go with him.
Now conscious, Alex could look into the Mysteries much faster than he could when he left it all to his unconscious mind.
Alex grabbed onto the next Dao the Worldly Laws were attempting to test him on, quickly grasping at the knowledge it tried to hide.
At the sa ti, he sensed the Qi in his body slowly building up in his dantian with each cycle. He was still cultivating, still using the Five Yang Divine Path.
He was still in the midst of an active breakthrough.
Alex found that he was close to the next realm—just a few more cycles away.
The Worldly Laws began wrapping around him, another of its Mysteries now unraveled.
Alex felt the settling like a pulse in his veins, a beat in his heart. He had learned his fourth Dao, and his second Ti Dao.
The Dao of Temporal Stagnation.
The world seed to slow down for him in that mont, the storm of Aura surrounding him now nothing more than an invisible wall.
Unmoving.
It lasted for just long enough to enjoy his new Dao, but not long enough that he would make anything worse.
The wall of Aura around him moved again, regaining its forr roar.
Then, Alex grasped onto the Mystery it held yet again, this ti one relating to the Spatial variety.
Even after four Daos learned in such a short ti, he wasn’t done yet.
Alex still had more Daos to learn.
