Han ngli and the others in his group were taken elsewhere and checked by the onboard physicians and alchemists.

Han ngli heard talks during that ti about how the demons in that world had already escaped, leaving behind many camps full of dead slaves. So many humans had lost their lives, and from the look of it, Han ngli’s group was to bla.

If they hadn’t started the fight, those up above wouldn’t have been forced to reveal themselves.

Naless patted him on the shoulder. "Lighten up. You’re not a slave anymore."

"No, but so many others died," Han ngli said. "If we had just waited..."

"If we had waited, we would’ve died. Or worse, we would’ve been slaves forever," Naless said, a flicker of rage showing on his face for a mont before vanishing. He was far too weak to be saying anything about these people.

He got closer, whispering at this point. "They weren’t planning on saving us. We were going to remain slaves for as long as they could afford to, made to be distractions for the demons so they would never realize that their territory had already been breached. Our slavers were going to be kept alive and happy so they could kill whoever ca to get the weapons that were being worked on."

Han ngli thought for a bit, the words matching what the beast earlier had spoken of.

"They were never going to save us. So it’s good that we did it ourselves," Naless said. "I’m sad that they died because of what we did, but I would do the exact sa thing if given another chance."

Han ngli gave a gentle smile, his chest feeling much lighter after those words.

Once they were healed, they were taken over to a group of people who began filing the freed humans into different groups based on their background and talent.

Han ngli was grouped with others who had weaker combat skills but could help out with making weapons and armor, or even just maintaining them. He was allowed a few days of rest before he was put to work in Bloodmoon’s forge.

There apparently wasn’t as much work in Bloodmoon’s forge previously, but after the tons and tons of raw materials and weapons that had been raided from the world they had just left, there was plenty to get to.

Han ngli’s knowledge of skysteel quickly stood out among the forgers, as he had spent the past century and a half doing nothing but working on it.

His teaching got him comndations from even so Immortals, and things went smoothly from then on. He was paid handsoly for his work in the forge, but that money couldn’t compare in the slightest to the hundreds of thousands of spirit stones he had in his storage bags.

The storage bags he got in the end had been from the demons who had begun mining the spirit stone cave, so he had ended up getting all of it, which he planned to use himself this ti.

About half a year later, Han ngli had been working in the forge when a group was brought in to him.

These were the new workers who had just been released after being healed of their wounds, so Han ngli was to teach them how to use skysteel.

To Han ngli’s surprise, the blond-haired man who had helped him on his first day stood before him.

The young man’s face had changed by now, growing skinnier and maybe even a little depressed, but he was still that man.

Han ngli quickly completed his duties and introduced himself to the young man again, reminding him who he was. It didn’t take long for the blond-haired young man to rember.

Starting that day, Han ngli felt quite good about his current life, even better now that he had a friend he could talk to.

The blond man was just happy to escape and had nothing to hide anymore, so he beca Han ngli’s friend in Bloodmoon.

Han ngli didn’t make any other friends, and soon over a decade passed. His cultivation base had grown smoothly, as he had now beco a Saint Foundation realm cultivator.

Still, there was much to go.

It was around this ti that he was notified that anyone who wished not to go to the warfront could leave. There was another ship on the way that would take them to the Shadow Manifold realm, while the rest who wished to fight in the war would be taken there on Bloodmoon.

Han ngli was excited to leave, as he would be unhelpful at the warfront. Instead, staying back and helping the war in the background would be much more useful.

And on top of that, the Shadow Manifold realm was the world under the Dark God, which would hopefully an he could find his father and sister, should either of them still be alive.

The rest of the years passed with much anticipation until the day of departure arrived. Skylight, a ship under the Sky God, ca to take them to the Shadow Manifold realm.

Han ngli stood out on the deck where they waited for the bridge between the two ships to be established.

A hand fell on his shoulder, and he turned around to a familiar face.

"Brother Naless," Han ngli called out. "Are you leaving too?"

"No, I’ll be heading to the battlefield. I have a bone to pick with the demons after all. I won’t be satisfied until I’ve massacred every last one of them."

Han ngli didn’t know how to respond to such grim words. "Good luck," he said. "I will wish you a long life."

"If I do, then I will surely et you again," Naless said.

"Then see you later, Brother Naless," Han ngli said.

Naless laughed out loud for a mont before shaking his head. "I told you I would take on a new na once I got out of there, didn’t I?" he asked. "My na is Spearheaven now. Rember it. Soon, everyone else will know it too."
