Alex learned the technique he had gotten from the place he had no mories of—the place he believed to be Realm Within Realms. The technique itself took little ti to learn, but perfecting it wasn't as simple.
It employed the sa fundantal logic of aura resonance to match the aura of your own Qi to that of another object's aura.
In this case, the Blank Canvas Pill was constantly covered in a massive amount of Qi as Alex attempted to match the aura of the pill to his own Qi, just like the other technique had.
While the techniques were similar, Alex imdiately saw so fundantal differences that made one better than the other. As for which was which would be up to the person using it.
The technique Alex got from Bai Jingshen would automatically resonate with the aura of the pill, letting him do nothing but directly absorb it. However, the amount that ca from that technique was truly pitiful.
For soone who didn't have to go through eight different Creations and could only focus on just one, this technique would most likely be quite useful, especially when the object of the technique was more or less abundant.
For Alex, that was too slow.
The other technique required Alex to create resonance with the aura of the pill. Since it wasn't automatic, it required Alex to manually change the state of the Qi he was using constantly in an attempt to not just match the aura, but also learn it in the process.
That way, even if he no longer had access to the object later on, he could directly create the aura with his Qi and absorb it directly.
Alex liked the second one better, but that didn't an it was easy. So for the past three days, he had been attempting to try and match his Qi to the aura of the pill. He had changed every minute aspect of the Qi just like the other technique had, but still, he had co to no luck at all.
After another day passed, Alex gave up.
Whatever he was doing was not going to work. "I can't rely on luck like the other technique does," Alex said to himself. "I need to be more conscious about what changes I'm doing."
After a few hours of rest, he started again.
This ti, he didn't imdiately flood the pill with his aura but instead closed his eyes and went through the process of creating a Blank Canvas Pill in his mind. Each ingredient, each minor energy, each elent change—he kept his eyes on everything that happened.
He focused on it all the way through to the end where the energy would reach a state where it would destroy its own connection to the pill and vanish, leaving behind just the shell for sothing else to take over.
Alex slowly opened his eyes, his thoughts still catching up to what he had realized. He raised his hand forward, and Qi flowed out of them.
However, even as it appeared, Alex was already changing it in a very specific way, based on the interaction of the elents that were in the Blank Canvas Pill's recipe. As he did, he employed the Dao of Seven-Elental Interaction, making it easy to get to the depth of what it was that he needed to make.
The aura he produced surrounded the pill, and while he hadn't matched it perfectly on the first try, he was much closer now than he had been in the last four days. Taking a mont to consider, Alex changed the aura once again. This ti, it got closer to the pill once again.
He took a mont to check where he might've made the mistake and changed it once more. Once more, it got closer. He could tell it was closer by comparing it to the aura inside his Origin. He just had to make a few more tweaks.
By thodically changing so finer aspects of the various elents within the aura, Alex landed on a final aura that perfectly matched that of the pill.
He paused for a mont, the understanding that he had succeeded sinking in slowly. He smiled ever so slightly, wondering how much longer this would've taken him had he not ford the previous aura.
It would've likely taken him months.
Instead, it had taken him less than a week from the very start.
Alex spent a few minutes sitting with the aura before taking it all in. The aura surged through his ridians, filling the Origin, adding to the minor amount it already had.
The more he filled it, the harder it would beco to change it later on. But Alex had no intention of changing that.
He brought his attention to the pill again and tried to form the aura again. He failed to imdiately create the sa aura as before, but he was much closer, and within a minute, he changed the necessary components of the aura to match what the pill was.
He took it in again.
He tried it again a third ti and a fourth. Each ti, he failed in so minor way that taught him more about how he could get to the correct aura in a single turn.
He had to learn this first before he could attempt to replicate it.
After what felt like ten tis, Alex had succeeded three tis in a row. But on the fourth attempt, he failed.
Miserably at that too. The aura he created did not match the aura within the pill at all. What confused him was the fact that he knew he had not made a mistake. So why was the aura all wrong?
After taking a mont to see what was wrong, Alex ca to the truth.
The pill he had been using had lost all of its aura. The aura resonance didn't just copy the aura from the pill but also stripped it out of the pill. The more he tried, the more aura it leaked, until finally, it didn't have any at all.
In the end, all Alex could do was throw away the useless pill and bring out a new one to continue.
