Shumi's white hair flowed freely in the wind, the veil no longer covering her heavenly beauty. Alex saw her face and was stunned by her beauty. Sothing like this had never happened to him before in his life.
There had been one ti when he thought he was attracted to soone. It was in the Eclipsing Heaven realm when he t the Winter God for the first ti. She was soone who had made his heart race, just as Shumi had said.
However, after eting the Storm God, who made him feel a similar degree of reverence toward him, Alex had quickly realized that he hadn't fallen in love with the Winter God or anything. It was just how one felt when they were around her.
She was-as Rosemist called them-a Half-God. His master had more or less confird that Half-Gods were very much different from regular gods, with abilities and powers that were beyond regular
asures.
While Alex didn't understand the reason behind all of that, he understood very clearly that what he had felt back then wasn't normal, and as such, this was perhaps his first ti truly finding soone attractive.
But was this real? Or was this just the effects of the connection between the two?
If the Winter God was a Half-God, then Shumi was the incarnation of a True God. Did that matter in so way?
Alex realized belatedly that he had been staring at her for a long few seconds now, not responding to her initial question. He quickly coughed and nodded.
"You... you're right," Alex said quickly. "I do find you attractive."
His heart beat a mile a minute at this point, so he couldn't even deny
that. She could probably hear his heartbeat herself. He definitely could.
Shumi's face grew redder at that point, and she looked away. " too," she said ekly. "I've never felt this way before, and I've been trying to ignore it, but when I saw you earlier, I realized that I find you quite handso as well. I've been around many powerful individuals who everyone calls handso, and never have I felt this way. I'm guessing this is part of the connection too."
Alex hesitated for a mont before nodding. He couldn't deny that there was perhaps an external force there trying to make them think of each other as attractive. Not that neither of them weren't attractive. And to be fair, there was already an external force making them think everyone else wasn't attractive.
'Is this part of the Sun God's doing then?' Alex wondered. 'Why would he do that?'
The only logical answer he could think of was that the Sun God did not wish for him to be together with any other won, thus suppressing any and all urges he would feel as a man.
'All this ti, I thought I just couldn't find another woman attractive because I saw the Moon Goddess in my mories and fell in love with her,' he thought. 'But it might instead be true that the reason for it was because my body itself never allowed to like soone else! He looked back at Shumi.
'All for this mont. All so I could et the Moon Goddess and fall for her, Alex thought, and fall for her he had. He didn't voice it out just yet, but she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen in his life, sohow now appearing more beautiful than the other two tis he had seen her.
It was as if her improving her body constitution had sohow made her more attractive.
'It really is just our God bodies, isn't it?' Alex asked. 'Why is it doing
realms, but mostly just to visit them. I have to go on parades from ti to ti. I'm needed to be there to remind the people that their goddess is nearly back."
Alex raised an eyebrow. He rembered back to the sparse few mories he got from the soul he had killed back then that had previously taken over Killersky and Windborn. They were rather open about her being a goddess.
"So everyone knows?" Alex asked.
"Pretty much. They can't see because of my veils, so they don't know who I am or what I look like, but my presence is enough for
them."
Alex nodded. "And they need it, I suppose," he said. "Speaking of which, I feel like you would know the answer, so I have to ask. Do the demons believe there is a war coming soon?"
