Surrounded by massive circular walls covered in murals, with beautiful flowering plants located all around, and the massive sculpture of the White Tiger progenitor nearby, the farewell celebration was held on the adow in the center of the White Tiger Palace, underneath the golden do.
Everyone cheered the mont Bai Jingshen brought along the group to the location, a loud, resounding noise spreading throughout the central space.
They weren't the only ones taking over the garden, but just a quarter of it, so there were many other White Tigers enjoying the bright sunlight underneath the golden do of the palace, and they all turned to look at where the celebration was happening.
Many grew curious as to what the celebration was about, but they could hardly tell anything except that Bai Jingshen was involved.
Most knew Bai Jingshen by reputation by now, which clearly wasn't the best, so everyone chose to stay away.
The last ti all of these people had been together was just two decades ago, but it had been outside the palace and not in such an official manner. Now, it was a massive festival, and everyone enjoyed themselves.
Pearl hadn't seen many of these in so ti, so he lost himself in conversation as well.
Whisker mixed among the group and was well loved by everyone. As a tiny beast, he was cared for by everyone, but especially the children who liked him the most.
Alex talked to a few beasts from ti to ti. Most there knew the relationship between him and Pearl and treated him accordingly. Just the fact that Bai Jingshen treated him well was enough for the others to treat him well as well.
Two White Tigers joined the celebration a few hours later. Alex recognized Bai Fulin, as she was the direct handler of everything under the Patriarch. The one next to her, however, was a female White Tiger he hadn't seen before.
It was only when Bai Jingshen introduced her that he realized it was his mother, Bai Heijing, Bai Fulin's older sister. She was the granddaughter of the Patriarch as well and had a decently strong cultivation base. Pearl had ntioned sothing about her uninterested nature, which was clear here.
Despite the celebration, she remained distant from everyone, only talking with Bai Fulin for the most part.
There was no maliciousness or hatred that Alex could see in her expression, just pure disinterest, which he couldn't fault her for. If she was not interested in them, then that was her choice. She wasn't hurting anyone by doing that, so it was fine.
Bai Jingshen ca around toward Alex with a grin on his face. "I've called the Patriarch as well. He might co around when he's free."
"This isn't going to end soon, is it?" Alex asked with a light chuckle. "Are we going to celebrate for the next three days?"
"It depends on what they all want, but I requested three days of ti here, and it cost so good contribution points, so we might as well use it."
Alex shrugged with a light laugh. "Might as well."
The sun went down, but the bright light around the adow kept the night as bright as dayti. Lanterns burned brightly all around, and barely anyone noticed the change at all.
Alex had been chatting with one of Bai Jingshen's children when suddenly he sensed a strong aura in the distance. It wasn't just him that noticed it, but many of the beasts there did. Whoever it was, they had made a show of notifying their arrival.
Alex turned around to see three White Tigers coming out of the east
gate. He didn't recognize them at all, or maybe he did? One of them looked familiar, but it took him a mont to figure out where he knew that tiger from.
"What a celebration!" the White Tiger at the front said. "Don't mind us joining."
The voice helped Alex place the tiger, now rembering it as one that had been outside of the Fighting Island when he and Pearl had made their way out.
Pearl moved up front, getting closer toward Bai Jingshen when he realized who these were as well.
"Uncle Caoyang," Bai Jingshen said in an unemotional tone. "What makes you show your pristine face here in the adows?"
Caoyang's face twisted for a mont, rembering the wounds he had to heal from after fighting Bai Jingshen.
"Cousin Caoyang," Bai Fulin stepped forward. "If you're here to make trouble, I suggest that you leave right away. We won't tolerate it."
"Trouble? Of course we're not here for trouble," the White Tiger said, his eyes turning toward Pearl next. "Despite the fact that our children were killed by him."
"Because they attacked him," Bai Jingshen said. "Did you co to fight again? I thought you were all made clear that this matter was not to
be touched again."
The two tigers beside Bai Caoyang glared. Caoyang himself scoffed at Bai Jingshen. "That is not sothing we can so easily forget. But that is not why we are here. Apparently, among you lies the new Sun God. We are here to et him."
Many of the beasts around them looked confused as they couldn't believe what they were talking about. They looked around, seeing if the person next to them had any idea.
"Is that him?" Bai Caoyang asked, turning toward Alex.
All eyes turned toward Alex at the sa ti, hushed whispers erging suddenly as they all tried to figure out what was happening.
The Sun God's figure on the mural was not far away from them, so their eyes began turning from Alex to the figure and then back toward
Alex.
Caoyang's voice was also quite loud, so everyone in that area heard
what he was saying. Word of the Sun God quickly spread, and before anyone knew it, a gathering began to form where before only Bai Jingshen and his family lay.
Now, dozens and dozens of White Tigers surrounded them, each one looking forward to seeing what the new Sun God looked like.
