The Wine God brought out a black gourd with a vibrant green vine wrapping around its mid portion. He undid the cork at the top and poured two small portions into small cups each.
A floral scent spread throughout the room in an instant, filling each and every inch of the place with its aroma. rely slling the scent alone made Alex feel a little strange, so he could only imagine what drinking it would feel like.
Bladedance took one of the cups and slled it first. Her eyes brightened at the scent, a curious look forming on her face.
"What is this?" she asked.
"One of my greatest creations," the Wine God said. "It's made using 3 different breeds of a Divine grade poison flower, mixed with an extrely old yeast to help with fernting. Add a few things here and there, and you end up with this concoction that is a step greater than the sum of its ingredients. I call it the Celestial's Celebration."
Bladedance took a small sip and instantly her eyes opened wide. "Wow! It's strong!"
"Of course. It's made to affect a Celestial after all," the Wine God said, taking a small sip himself. He grimaced upon drinking it, barely able to hold a straight face.
"You don't have to force it if you can't," Bladedance said. "It might hurt your body if you're not careful."
"That it won't do," the Wine God said. "Even now, it's quite beneficial for my body. But the taste is a little strong for my liking. And compared to you, I will get drunk a lot faster."
Bladedance laughed out loud, taking another sip, this ti a much larger one. She shook her head slightly, enjoying the wine quite a bit. She then went for a third sip and downed the entire cup at once.
"Incredible," she said as she slamd the cup back on the ground. "Just one cup and I can already feel it affecting . A few more and I can properly get drunk tonight. I can't rember the last ti I had the luxury of being drunk."
"It should've been during the celebration after the war's end," the Wine God said.
Bladedance looked up to the ceiling, trying to rember the celebration after the war ended. When she couldn't rember anything, she laughed out loud.
"Must be. Because I have no mory of celebrating anything."
The Wine God smiled. "This one should do the sa if you let it." He poured into Bladedance's empty glass once again. His own glass was half-full as he was barely taking any sips.
He turned toward Alex who sat next to Bladedance, drinking from a different wine bottle. "How do you find your wine?"
"It's incredible, senior," Alex quickly answered. "I've never tasted sothing so bizarre and yet so good at the sa ti. I feel like I'm being treated to a flavor I've never had before."
The Wine God smiled. "I'm glad you like it."
Bladedance turned. "Wanna taste this one? It's even better."
The Wine God shook his head. "I'm afraid he shouldn't try this one. An Immortal would unfortunately die if they try this wine."
Bladedance couldn't help but chuckle. She turned toward Alex. "Is it that easy to kill you?" she asked.
"I..."
Alex wasn't sure how to respond in that situation.
"Give him so," Bladedance said. "You already know he has the Undying God's powers. Even if he dies, he'll just co back to life." The Wine God's mouth fell open as he too struggled to think of what
to say. He looked toward Alex, seemingly deciding just then whether to do what Bladedance said or not.
"Co on!" Bladedance said, pushing Alex to drink his wine quickly and empty the cup.
Alex did as she said and finished the cup. Once it was empty, she grabbed the cup and pushed it toward Moonspirit.
The Wine God remained silent for a while, his thoughts racing in that
mont.
"What?" Bladedance asked upon noticing his hesitation.
"I'm worried, senior."
"About him? Don't worry. He'll be fine," she said.
"Actually, I'm worried what would happen if he were to get drunk," the man said. "What if... what if that gives the thing inside of him the
opportunity to take over him?"
Bladedance paused, her eyes narrowing. "You know what's inside him?" she asked.
Alex panicked. How could the Wine God know about the Sun God?
"It's Godslayer, right? I heard he surfaced the last ti and fought against a few of the gods," the Wine God said. "What if he were to awaken here too?"
"Oh," Bladedance said. "That you don't have to worry about. Godslayer
is dead."
The Wine God froze. "What?" He turned toward Alex. "Is that true?"
Alex felt a small relief when he realized the misunderstanding. "Yes,
he's dead," he answered.
"May I ask how?" the Wine God asked.
"It has to do partly with why we ca to visit you," Bladedance said. "For now, just know that he's gone, so there's no threat of him here."
"Oh, then..."
"Actually, I don't think it's a good idea for to drink," Alex said. "Master, you can understand the problems that could happen if I don't have a hold over my own senses."
Bladedance narrowed her eyes for a mont. From the slight pink coloring on her cheeks, Alex could tell that she was already starting to get drunk. He wondered if that was why she was so brazen right then.
"Fine, you're right," she said.
Alex sighed in relief. He wasn't worried about the drink hurting him
physically, but he had to worry if there was a chance for him to lose his mind enough to think undoing the Sun God's seal was a good idea. If there was any way that was a possibility, he wouldn't want to do it.
"Oh, so you won't be drinking it?" the Wine God asked.
"No, he won't," Bladedance said while placing Alex's cup back before him. "He's worried he might accidentally use his Half-God powers."
