The Wine God took the four nas and nodded. "I shall see what new information I have about them and bring them over. But I cannot say for certain there will be anything aningful," he said.

"I'll take any aid you can provide, senior," Alex said.

The old man nodded and stood to leave. He took the books with him as well.

"Bring my books too now," Bladedance said. "The first of them at least." "As you say, senior."

The Wine God left.

Bladedance turned toward Alex. "What were the nas again?" she asked.

"Somberskull, Deathgrim, Deadcall, and Pallideyes," Alex answered. "Which one do you think it is?" she asked.

Alex hesitated to answer as he had nothing concrete to go by. Deadcall and Pallideyes didn't appear to fit into his understanding of what the Death Sage he was looking for was. He hadn't the vaguest notion of the Death Sage fighting with corpses or using so eye technique.

If he had, he would have likely used it during the Artifact God's final stand. However, because of what he felt upon reading those two nas, he had decided to stick with them for now.

As for the other two, it was much more possible for them to be who he was looking for.

Somberskull was the strongest of the Death Sages in the past, so the likelihood was there. But perhaps the one that Alex felt had the most chance of being who he was looking for was Deathgrim instead. Deathgrim fought with a sword, which likely had to do with his

connection with the Sword God and thus the Slayers. He had also gained Duskcorpse's ability to channel Death aura into empowering himself, which would make him a close companion of the Death God, which was likely what made the Artifact God not double-check his queries and move along to help him without question.

He explained his thought process to Bladedance, who simply nodded. "Do any of those nas fit the missing person in your head?" she asked.

Alex gave an awkward smile. "I can't possibly tell. They are missing after all."

The Wine God returned a mont later, bringing a few thick stacks of books. Alex was surprised at first, wondering just how much information there was on just these four Death Sages, but it beca quickly apparent that most of those books were for Bladedance. instead.

"Finally," Bladedance said, grabbing the first of the books.

She flipped the book open without question and started reading it. Alex looked at the nas of the books and realized they were all books that recounted the history after the war.

Since Bladedance's mories were choppy since before the war because of the loss of her Creation, she had wanted to see what had happened in those tis.

Alex ignored her for the mont and read the book before him.

He read up on the four, but nothing he read led him to understand whether they were who he was searching for or not. For that, he would have to et them personally and see firsthand. Thankfully, it appeared one of them he could et very soon.

Somberskull had a sect in the Sky God's palace, making it simple for

Alex to et him.

Pallideyes was the patriarch of his family, located in the Silver Soul realm and had deep ties with the War God's cult.

"The War God, Alex thought, rembering the half-clothed bronze-skinned man whom he had t back in the dicine World. He was the one that had given him the Battle Mimicry Artifact, claiming him to be talented enough to beco a War Sage should he train with it.

'I have to et him to return the artifact as I promised anyway, so I should et Pallideyes along the way too,' Alex thought.

Deathgrim lived on the Sword Continent of the Split Sky realm. Not much else was known of what he did there, but since Bladedance's cult was based in the Split Sky realm, she could likely help him in finding out if this was the person he was looking for or not.

As for Deadcall, Alex found nothing concrete as to where he was. The man seed to roam the world like a free spirit, never stopping at any place. His last known location was the Fiend's Sanctuary, but it was possible he had already left there as well.

Alex frowned slightly. He could find the other three, but learning anything more about Deadcall would be an issue.

'Maybe I can just ask the Heaven where he is, Alex thought, but he didn't understand the cost of what that question would entail. For now, he planned to keep off from using any more of that precious energy until he got an explanation from the Sky God.

"Wow," Bladedance said with a hint of a chuckle in her voice. "Did no one tell these people that Godslayer was already contained? How co there were almost no new gods at all after the war ended?"

"The news of his capture hadn't spread as much as you would have hoped. People were still of the belief that if one were to beco a god, they would most certainly die," the Wine God said.

"That makes sense," Bladedance said, reading through the things. "Oh, did the Hamr God die?"

"Yes, he passed away so ti after the war ended. His cult claims that he passed away after an Immortal Tribulation that went wrong,"

the Wine God said.

"Oh, a sha. I liked that man. He was kind," Bladedance said, flipping

through the pages. "Who took his place?"

"That would be the Axe God, Woodsbane."

Bladedance read that part in the book. "I see. Was he-"

She suddenly paused, a look of anger flashing before her eyes. "That bastard beca a god at the sa ti?"

The Wine God looked down at the page and sighed a little. "Yes," he answered. "Purplerain beca the Sword God around the sa ti as the Axe God did, along with the Alchemy God, Whitesong."
