Bladedance seed to grow quite curious upon hearing that. She glanced at Alex briefly, wondering what sort of father could sire a child as talented as him.
"What is going on with his father's body?" she asked.
"His father was born with a physical condition known as Inverted ridians. His ridians have a peculiarity such that they make it incredibly difficult for him to draw Qi into his dantian, making it pretty much impossible for him to cultivate in any aningful way." Bladedance's eyes narrowed. "I've never heard of such a thing as Inverted ridians," she said. "So he's not as talented at cultivating?"
"Based on his physique, he might as well be the worst cultivator you have ever seen. If others were given the sa opportunities he was given, it wouldn't be surprising to see them on their way to
transcending their origins right now. And yet, his father is still in the Saint realm-and that too because he has been working very hard at cultivation."
Bladedance nodded slowly. "So Qi doesn't flow through his body normally. Is that it?" she asked. "Then he might as well not be a cultivator. I'm assuming he can't really use most of his Qi either. He should have no real way to use techniques, does he?"
"No, that he can do," the Sky God explained. "The problem he faces is only in one direction. When he's absorbing Qi into his body, there is an imdiate blockage because of the way his ridians work, causing him to be unable to absorb Qi as quickly. However, when releasing Qi from his dantian, there is nearly no blockage, making him function no differently from a normal cultivator."
Alex nodded slowly. He had known the circumstances, albeit not in as much detail as the Sky God likely did. She should have figured out a lot about his father in the nearly 2,000 years he had been here.
He tried understanding the physical nature of his father's ridians. As far as he understood from back in the day, his father struggled to cultivate a lot. He had tried learning more about his ridians, but after learning from Senior Yang that they were so sort of unique ridians, he had stopped caring as much about them and instead. tried to find ways to work around the situation.
Now that he thought about it, he had never managed to find any solution. He wondered if the Sky God had made any advances on that front.
Bladedance frowned upon hearing all of that. "So, if I'm understanding this correctly, he struggles to take in Qi and has no real difference when releasing it. Based on just that, I feel as though all I'm hearing are the detrints you spoke of. Then what are the benefits? Am I missing sothing?"
The Sky God seed amused for a brief second before shaking her head. "I haven't gotten to it just yet. There is, in fact, more that I haven't spoken about. One of the things that makes it difficult for his father to cultivate is also the fact that his ridians just aren't in the right place."
Bladedance blinked, waiting for more.
"It's not that they're deford or anything, but they are simply not in the right configuration," the Sky God explained.
Alex nodded. That was mainly what had made it difficult to find techniques for his father in the past. Any technique his father could use had to be custom-crafted to fit the pathways his ridians ford.
Now that he was here, maybe he should look into that again.
"I had Tealspirit take a look at his ridians when she was here, and she managed to convert a few techniques for him, although she didn't seem happy to have to work on it," the Sky God said.
Alex looked up in surprise. Soone else had helped his father?
"Who is Tealspirit?" he asked with a curious look.
"The Technique God," the Sky God answered before moving on with her explanation.
Alex spent the next few seconds in silence as he took in the fact that one of the gods had co to help his father.
The Sky God continued speaking.
"It is hard to say whether it is due to his Inverted ridians or his misplaced ridians, but Ronron's grandfather was born with a few boons as well. One of those boons is that his physical improvent is beyond anything you could have ever seen. He might as well be the most talented body cultivator alive."
Bladedance looked rather surprised. She had gone through so body cultivation herself and understood the sheer amount of blood and sweat that went into making even the smallest improvent to one's physical body.
If Alex's father could improve two or three tis as much with the sa level of effort as an average person, then it would indeed be
incredible.
"How strong is he right now?" she asked.
"I haven't really checked on him, but the last ti I did-over three centuries ago-he was in the upper Immortal realms. Since then, if he hasn't held back during training, then he is bound to have reached the Divine realms by now."
Bladedance could not hide her shock. "The Divine Realm? With just body cultivation?"
That should have been practically impossible. "That too in just 2,000
years?"
"He has had a bit of help, to be fair," the Sky God said. "I suppose he has had better opportunities than the average person, but that certainly doesn't take away from the fact that he has managed to
beco this strong."
Alex was quite stunned as well. He had sensed his father's Saint realm cultivation earlier, so he had known that he hadn't improved on that front. However, from what he was hearing, there had been an entirely different sort of improvent on another front.
"That's quite incredible," Bladedance said, barely above a whisper.
"That's not all," the Sky God added. "On top of that, he is also highly resistant to spiritual attacks."
