Hao Ya's number surprised a few people. Those that weren't aware of her talent, which was why she was chosen by Yang Renye in the first place, couldn't help but look around with a look of awe on their faces.
"That's senior brother Renye's disciple?" Riftblade asked softly.
"I heard she was," Brasswind said. "She's more talented than . I can't believe he found such a talent in a lower realm."
Alex turned toward Bladedance. "How good is 74? I don't think I have a great understanding of how great the number is."
"74 would definitely rank her in the upper echelon of talents among the Human realm," Bladedance said. "If you consider the fact that there is no one but your mother in the 90s, and the ones that are in the 80s are a few of the gods, you quickly find out that anyone in the 70s is considered extrely talented."
"She would have been able to beco a core disciple in any human sect if they sort their disciples based on talent alone," Newheaven went on to explain, making it easier for Alex to understand.
Hao Ya left the pillar, walking back with a sowhat disappointed look on her face. She had likely expected her number to be higher.
Ronron looked to the group. "Who is next?"
"Give this old man the opportunity before I make a fool of myself by going after you all," Battlesage said and walked over to the pillar.
He pressed his arm on its surface and waited for the energy to flow into him. It took a few seconds for the pillar to do its thing, then it finally beca active and began glowing with white light once again.
It crossed the halfway point pretty quickly and reached around the sa level as Hao Ya did.
"75."
Newheaven's eyebrows raised upon hearing that number.
"75?" Silkspear spoke out in so surprise. "That's what I got. How is this possible?"
"He's so old too," Brasswind said. "Does that an he used to be much more talented during his heyday? How does a person this talented only reach the Immortal Origin realm while becoming this old?"
The lack of information about who Battlesage was and how he had grown to be this old left the few with quite a bit of mystery. Even the soldiers that were around couldn't help but whisper among each other.
"75," Battlesage repeated his number with a wide smile on his face. "I did better than the young lady did. I didn't think that was possible for ."
Alex remained silent as he watched those two. Sothing had occurred to him just then that he hadn't considered during the previous two tis.
While it was clear that Battlesage was talented, Alex didn't believe him to be as talented as Hao Ya was. However, the truth was before him, clear to see.
Since that was the case, Alex thought of a possibility that could have made this possible.
'The fruit of the Tree of Life,' Alex thought. 'Battlesage ate an entire fruit on his own. As such, he is physically far better. If sister Hao Ya uses the fruit as well, she could very easily get a higher rank than him.'
Since Whisker had already eaten half of it, he had already gained all he could.
At that mont, Alex couldn't help but wonder how that would change Ronron and his mother's numbers in the future. How many more points could they get from it?
Even a single point was incredibly useful here, as that would push Ronron into the 90s.
"Should I go next?" Scarlet asked, looking toward Pearl and Alex.
"If you want to, sister," Pearl said.
Alex simply shrugged.
"Okay then."
Scarlet walked up to the pillar and placed her palm. Alex could already hear whispers from behind him, questioning who exactly she was more than anything. So people seed to have known that she had sothing to do with Ronron, and the news spread quickly.
Scarlet placed her palm on the pillar and poured in her Qi.
The area quickly grew quiet as everyone waited in anticipation for the pillar to co to life. Scarlet herself was quite curious what her talent really was.
The Vermillion Birds didn't test for talent, only the strength of their bloodline, so she never really had a chance to learn anything close to it.
White light sprang forth from the base of the pillar, quickly filling it up. Scarlet followed the level with her eyes as it quickly grew, going past the halfway point in almost an instant. It rose even higher before starting to slow down.
'Co on. Co on. Co on.'
She prayed for it to go even higher, but the climb turned to a crawl soon and then completely stopped.
She stepped back, seeing the result. It was higher than both Hao Ya and Battlesage, but not that high.
"79," the disembodied voice of the pillar said.
"Wow! Nearly 80," Ronron said with an excited look. "That's an amazing result, aunt Scarlet."
"Thanks, but it's 10 scores lower than yours," Scarlet said with a sigh.
"You shouldn't compare yourself to just . Look at everyone else. They all can tell you that you're talented."
Scarlet turned around to the look of gaping shock on the faces of each and every single one of the Sky God's people.
"Oh," she said, having not realized her number would cause such a reaction. "So… 79 is high?"
"It's decently high. Just look at grand aunt Liz. She scored 72, despite having such an incredible body constitution," Ronron said.
"Oh? She did?" Scarlet said, finding so satisfaction after hearing that. "Maybe I am quite talented then."
She knew she wasn't as talented as the other two, but at this point, it might be better for her to stop comparing herself to them entirely. They were far too monstrous to be put on any sort of scale.
That was perhaps the only way she could start feeling better about herself.
