The conditions in the Ordinary Demon Beast Region were actually quite similar to the mountains behind Lisha City. It started with a wide road, which gradually narrowed into a small path that beca more and more difficult to walk.
As Ye Tian walked slowly along the mountain path, he felt extrely puzzled. 'These three great mountains all contain Demon Beasts, and their levels are all different. This is a very strange situation.'
'If this was all arranged by soone, it would have taken an imnse amount of effort. And they'd have to be incredibly powerful to pull it off. I doubt even the dean of Linyuan Academy could do it.'
A mountain breeze swept by, bringing a sudden chill. Ye Tian was now standing halfway up the mountain. He glanced back and saw that Lin Ling was indeed behind him. Although she was intentionally concealing her presence, with his sharp vision and Perception Power, he could still pinpoint her location.
This mountain was massive, countless tis larger than the ones behind Lisha City. The occasional roars of Demon Beasts echoed through the air, creating a hair-raising atmosphere.
Ye Tian desperately wanted to let out the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python to train with him in this Demon Beast Region for a few months. With Lin Ling behind him, however, he had to restrain himself. He really didn't want too many people to know about the python.
An idea suddenly struck Ye Tian. 'I know Lin Ling's Power Realm is much higher than mine, but I've just broken through to the Second Vein Fifth Layer Realm and haven't truly tested the speed of Dragon Form Hundred Transformations. I'll see if I can shake her. That way, the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python can co out for so fresh air.'
Acting on his thoughts was Ye Tian's style. 'Lin Ling is still pretty far behind ,' he reasoned. 'Maybe I can lose her while she's not expecting it.'
He imdiately circulated the Dragon Spiritual Power in his body. His feet blurred, leaving an afterimage as he shot up the mountain. The sheer speed even took him by surprise.
'I'm more than twice as fast as before! This power boost really makes a difference,' Ye Tian thought, his anticipation for the Second Form growing. 'If I can learn the Second Form, I'll be even more incredible.'
Ye Tian vanished in the blink of an eye, leaving Lin Ling stunned. Of course, she had seen him suddenly bolt, but his speed was just too fast. 'Soone in the Two Vein Realm is actually matching the speed of a Three Vein Realm expert,' she thought. 'He's a true anomaly. You have to be impressed.'
"Thinking of losing ? You're not strong enough for that yet, Ye Tian!" Lin Ling declared. With a flicker, her body shot forward, pursuing him like an arrow loosed from a bow.
The only thing Ye Tian could hear was the wind roaring past his ears. The ground beneath him was a ss of weeds and loose stones, which should have made running difficult, but for him, it was like sprinting across flat ground.
He sprinted for the ti it takes half an incense stick to burn, yet he wasn't even red in the face or short of breath. But when he glanced back, he could still see Lin Ling's figure. It looked like she had gotten even closer.
'I didn't expect that annoying girl to be this good,' Ye Tian thought. 'So, you want to race ? Fine, let's see whose stamina is better!' He felt a surge of confidence, rembering that the Dragon Pearl in his body could provide him with a continuous supply of Energy.
Ye Tian now ran with reckless abandon, not caring where he was going. The mountain terrain was far from flat; there were cliffs in so places and dense forests in others, forcing his speed to drop. He was moving so fast that he nearly plunged off a cliff on several occasions.
After an unknown amount of ti, Ye Tian finally stopped. He was now deep inside a dense forest, and Lin Ling was nowhere in sight. He wasn't sure if he had truly lost her, but he couldn't find any sign of her within the range of his Perception Power.
His Dragon Spiritual Power was largely depleted, and his forehead was covered in sweat. The whole sprint had been thrilling, but shaking off that annoying girl, Lin Ling, felt even better.
The dense forest was ho to quite a few Demon Beasts. Ye Tian had run into several during his sprint, but none were particularly high-level. He didn't bother engaging them, simply dodging them and pressing onward.
ROAR! Suddenly, a deafening tiger's roar erupted from behind Ye Tian, startling him. He found it very strange; his Perception Power hadn't detected the Demon Beast's presence at all.
Ye Tian spun around and saw a giant tiger, two ters tall, standing about twenty ters behind him. But this tiger was unique. Its entire body was a greenish-blue color, and its fur was matted with what looked like green leaves.
"What in the world is this thing?" Ye Tian muttered.
"That's a Jungle Tiger. Its strength is comparable to a Martial Artist between the Second Vein Third and Fifth Layers," Lin Ling's voice suddenly comnted in his ear. "Enjoy."
Ye Tian's mood soured instantly. He'd thought he had lost her, but apparently, Lin Ling had been right beside him all along, completely evading his Perception Power. He couldn't figure out how she did it.
There was no ti to ask her for the reason now. 'An expert at the Four Vein Realm really is on another level,' he thought. 'I just have to get stronger as fast as I can.'
The green tiger looked at Ye Tian as if he were a tasty morsel. It opened its massive jaws and charged, eager to swallow him in a single gulp.
Ye Tian was incredibly frustrated. He thought he had lost Lin Ling, only to have her completely humiliate him. Now, he would have to vent all that frustration on this green tiger.
With a single thought, the Black Glaze Sword appeared in his hand. He quickly executed the Fifth Form of the Flowing Cloud Sword Technique. A powerful surge of Sword Qi instantly erupted from the blade's tip and shot toward the green tiger.
The very air seed to ripple, and the surrounding trees began to shake violently. Perched on a high branch, Lin Ling was almost thrown off by the powerful tremor. 'He's definitely doing this on purpose,' she thought.
'Still, to be able to unleash this much Attack Power is truly surprising,' she mused. 'I wonder if he can actually kill this Jungle Tiger.'
The instant the Sword Qi manifested, the surrounding trees looked as if they had been shredded by a thousand blades. Bark flew everywhere. Several trees were pierced clean through by the Sword Qi, and a few were even snapped in half.
Ye Tian was quite satisfied with the power of his attack. The forest was a bit too dense for him to truly cut loose and use his Martial Skill to its full potential, but he was confident it was more than enough to kill the green tiger.
The Sword Qi shot toward the green tiger. The beast seed to sense the danger, and the leaf-like green fur all over its body suddenly flew off, hurtling toward the incoming Sword Qi.
Ye Tian could clearly sense the green "leaves" fanning out and expanding. In the blink of an eye, they grew to the size of a palm, each one humming with potent Energy.
'I've never seen anything so bizarre,' Ye Tian thought. 'This must be so kind of Elental Attack. It gathers Elental Power in its body and then rapidly unleashes it. The resulting power must be imnse.'
BOOM! A trendous explosion erupted between Ye Tian and the green tiger. In an instant, every tree within a several-ter radius was blasted into splinters, which scattered as a powerful wave of Energy expanded outward...
