Once she figured this out, Lin Ling understood why Ye Tian had tried to shake her off after entering the Demon Beast Region. His angry words and his claim about hiding in a tree for a few days were all for the sake of this little creature.
At that mont, the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python flew in front of the Jungle Tiger. A trendous roar erupted from the tiger's mouth, but its massive body slowly backed away as if it sensed a great crisis.
"Ye Lin, finish this thing off! Looks like it's trying to escape!" Ye Tian shouted to the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python.
Sparks of electricity began to flicker from the antennae on the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python's head. A mont later, a thumb-thick bolt of purple lightning shot out from the antennae, striking the Jungle Tiger directly.
Ye Tian was also quite surprised when he saw this. 'I can't believe this little guy can attack without transforming into his true form,' he thought. 'And it looks like that lightning bolt has a lot of Attack Power.'
The purple lightning was incredibly fast, striking the Jungle Tiger in an instant. A scene that left Lin Ling utterly astonished unfolded.
After being struck by the purple lightning, the massive Jungle Tiger instantly collapsed. In the blink of an eye, its fur turned black. Most terrifying of all, black smoke began to rise from its body. It convulsed on the ground for a mont and then went still.
'Dead? It died after just one hit from that little guy's purple lightning? It can't be that ridiculously overpowered, can it?' Lin Ling wondered.
She didn't dare get any closer to check, though. It would be trouble if Ye Tian found out she was still following him. 'I never thought Ye Tian would have such a Heaven-defying pet,' she mused. 'And it looks like this little guy is still in its infancy. I can't imagine what it will be like once it's fully grown.'
The Jungle Tiger lay motionless on the ground, all signs of life gone. It was quite easy for the current Eight-winged Golden Scale Python to kill a Demon Beast whose Power Realm was so much weaker than its own. This purple lightning was its most powerful attack at present.
Of course, as it evolved more wings, it would gain other thods of attack. The most terrifying, naturally, would be the skills and attacks it would possess after reaching Eight Wings—the legendary Flying and Earth Escape. A creature that could make even Nine Vein Powerhouses tremble in fear was truly Heaven-defying.
Just then, the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python flashed through the air and landed on Ye Tian's head. It moved so fast that Lin Ling, who had been watching it the whole ti, couldn't even follow its speed. She had a sudden premonition: 'If I were to fight this little creature, I might not even be its opponent. Its power is truly terrifying.'

He quickly placed it into his Storage Ring, then glanced up at the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python in the air and chuckled, "Take your ti and eat. No one's going to fight you for it!"
From a distance, Lin Ling's heart skipped another beat. She had seen Ye Tian summon the Black Glaze Sword from thin air, and now she saw the Elental Magic Crystal vanish just as suddenly. This ant he had a Storage Ring or a Storage Belt.
She was very familiar with Storage Belts, as she wore one herself, but there was no such item on Ye Tian's waist. The only other explanation was a Storage Ring.

Just then, a huge fluctuation of Energy erupted from the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python. Its small body gradually began to change, slowly transforming into a behemoth that looked sothing like a cross between a snake and a centipede.
At the sa ti, it began to radiate an oppressive Primordial Qi. The mont this aura appeared, all the birds and beasts in the dense forest let out thunderous roars, as if in submission and worship of their King.
Lin Ling was montarily dumbfounded. 'Such a ferocious creature is actually Ye Tian's Demon Pet?' She couldn't believe it was real, but the facts were right in front of her, leaving no room for doubt.
Then, the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python opened its cavernous mouth and swallowed the Jungle Tiger's enormous body in a single gulp. A few breaths later, a red glow enveloped its body. It then reverted to its original, smaller winged form and returned to Ye Tian's side.
"How do you feel?" Ye Tian asked calmly.
"Not bad," the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python replied. "This Jungle Tiger was a Wood Attribute Demon Beast, so it was sowhat useful to . If I can find a Thunder Attribute Demon Beast, it might not be long before I can break through to Three Wings. Then I'll be able to stay with you openly, Boss!"
