"Snake King, you're incredible! Keep up the great work and mine so more Gold Elent Ore Crystals. We've been here for quite a while now, and I need to increase my power as quickly as possible so I can get out of here!" Ye Tian said to the Snake King.
"Don't worry, Sir. I'll do my best!" The Snake King looked up at Ye Tian and smiled, but the beads of sweat on his forehead showed that the effort was costing him a considerable amount of energy.
Ye Tian gave a faint smile and returned to the pit he had been digging. 'Mining these Ore Crystals really cos down to luck.'
About ten more days passed. Ye Tian had managed to dig up over a dozen Ore Crystals. Two of them were the size of goose eggs and had a much deeper color.
By now, he had dug down to a depth of nearly five ters. The rock below was even harder, making it extrely difficult to excavate a single Ore Crystal. Ye Tian was starting to feel like giving up.
After climbing out of his pit again, he went to check on the Snake King. He was shocked to find nearly a hundred Ore Crystals piled up next to him. So of them were even larger than the ones he had mined himself.
"Snake King, how did you manage to mine so many Ore Crystals? Is there sothing different about this spot?" Ye Tian asked, puzzled.
They had both dug to roughly the sa depth and cleared a similar area, yet their results were worlds apart. This left Ye Tian feeling quite frustrated.
"Sir, I believe this is a vein of Gold Elent. If I keep digging downward, I might be able to unearth a Gold Elent Ore Core. That would possess a terrifying amount of Elental Energy," the Snake King said.
"An Ore Core? Are you sure you can find one?" Ye Tian asked. Though he didn't know exactly what an Ore Core was, he was certain of one thing: it had to be the most valuable treasure to be found among the Ore Crystals.
"I'm not entirely sure, but I want to give it a try. If you're tired, Sir, you can focus on your cultivation. These Ore Crystals should be enough for you to absorb for now," the Snake King said.
After a mont's thought, Ye Tian said, "Alright, you keep digging. I'll absorb the Gold Elental Energy from these Ore Crystals. Just let know if you find the Ore Core."
With that, Ye Tian leaped into the pit the Snake King had dug, placed the Ore Crystals into his Storage Ring, and then found a flat spot to sit down and begin absorbing their energy.
While the Snake King continued to dig, Ye Tian focused on his cultivation. As he absorbed the Gold Elent Ore Crystals one by one, he found that the Gold Elental Pearl inside his body had grown noticeably larger.
The energy within a single Ore Crystal was quite potent, especially the deeper-colored ones, which held as much power as the Magic Crystal of a Tier Three or Tier Four Gold Attribute Demon Beast. However, even this imnse energy only caused the Gold Elental Pearl to grow slightly larger upon entering his body.
This just went to show how powerful the Gold Elent contained within the Gold Elental Pearl was. Ye Tian was certain that if he were to unleash all the Gold Elent from the pearl at once, he would instantly be blown to pieces.
When the Gold Elental Pearl in his body grew to the size of a pigeon's egg, Ye Tian stopped absorbing, as he had nearly run out of Gold Elent Ore Crystals.
Instead of checking on the Snake King's progress, he slowly closed his eyes and began to ntally rehearse the execution of Gold Slash.
'The Gold Elental Energy in my body is more than sufficient now,' he thought. 'I should be able to successfully rehearse the technique.'
Just as he had expected, the ntal simulation of Gold Slash manifested perfectly in his mind. The only problem was that it moved incredibly fast—so fast that even with Ye Tian's powerful vision, he couldn't see it clearly.
At the sa ti, he felt the Gold Elental Energy in his body depleting rapidly. 'ntally practicing Gold Slash really consus a huge amount of Gold Elental Energy.'
The speed of the Gold Slash simulation was incredibly frustrating for Ye Tian. Both his vision and Perception Power were exceptionally strong, yet he couldn't figure out how to slow the demonstration down. He desperately wanted to ask the War Dragon Remnant Soul for help but forced himself to hold back.
He didn't want that old codger to laugh at him, so he could only bite the bullet and keep observing. During the simulation of Gold Slash, all he could make out was the sky filling with manifestations of Golden Sword Qi, each carrying an indomitable and tyrannical presence.
But as for how the slashes were actually ford, he couldn't figure it out. Ye Tian knew that the Chaos Thunder Strike was a Cultivation Technique even more terrifying than a Celestial-tier Martial Skill; it naturally wouldn't be easy to comprehend.
He just needed to find a breakthrough. Once he had the experience of mastering Gold Slash, cultivating the other slashes in the set would be much easier.
'Haste makes waste.' Ye Tian could only calm himself down and carefully examine the details of the simulation again. As for the consumption of his Gold Elental Energy, he decided to ignore it for now.
'Worst case, I'll just absorb more Ore Crystals when I run low. The Snake King has mined plenty, so I don't have to worry about running out. He might even unearth the Ore Core, and then I'll have no worries at all.'
Ye Tian sat motionlessly on the ground, practicing Gold Slash in his mind. An unknown amount of ti passed before he finally opened his eyes, a faint look of disappointnt on his face.
He had consud more than half of his Gold Elental Energy, but his understanding of how to execute Gold Slash remained hazy. The only thing he had grasped was that it was fast—so fast it was almost impossible to see with the naked eye.
It involved unleashing Gold Slash in an instant, at the highest possible speed, catching the opponent completely off guard. This would require absolute mastery over both his internal Dragon Spiritual Power and the Sword Technique itself.
Replenishing his Gold Elental Energy was the first priority. Ye Tian walked over to where the Snake King was digging, and what he saw gave him a huge shock.
The pit the Snake King was excavating was now nearly ten ters deep and had also been widened considerably. Piles of discarded rock and slag were heaped up beside it.
The Snake King naturally noticed Ye Tian's arrival. "Sir, do you need more Gold Elent Ore Crystals to absorb? There are over five hundred here. That should be enough for you for quite so ti," he said.
Ye Tian glanced at the golden Ore Crystals arranged in the pit, and he felt a wave of gratitude. 'The Snake King is so dependable,' he thought, deciding then and there to have the creature follow him from now on.
"Yes, I do need to absorb so energy from the crystals," Ye Tian said. "Have you found the Ore Core yet? If not, you can stop digging. You've been at it for so long; I'm sure you must be exhausted."
"I can already feel the Ore Core's presence. It's about five ters below this spot. It will probably take about a month to reach it. You can continue absorbing Gold Elental Energy. I'm not tired!" the Snake King said.
Without any hesitation, Ye Tian placed the Gold Elent Ore Crystals into his Storage Ring and resud his absorption. This ti, he focused only on the Ore Crystals with the deepest color.
A few days later, he stopped, feeling that his Gold Elental Energy had been restored to its previous level. Now, all he needed to do was practice Gold Slash in his mind.
Ye Tian practiced Gold Slash in his mind over and over. As the saying goes, hard work pays off. At a certain mont, he seed to finally grasp how to execute Gold Slash. His eyes snapped open and, with a single thought, the Black Glaze Sword appeared in his hand. He then swung a quick slash forward…
