He had never even heard of such a Heaven-defying student. This matter had to be handled carefully, or it would cause a massive uproar. Guan Tianshui decided to take Ye Tian and Zhang Xinlan back to the academy first and discuss how to deal with them with Xiao Wenjie.
However, before taking them away, he needed to understand exactly what had happened. He knew Ye Tian's personality; he wouldn't do sothing so reckless without good reason.
"Why did they attack Instructor Lu? Explain everything that happened, from beginning to end!" Guan Tianshui asked the instructor beside him.
"Dean Guan, this is what happened. First, Ye Tian got into a dispute with so other students and ended up killing two of them. Instructor Lu was furious that Ye Tian would be so cruel as to kill fellow students in front of so many people, so he demanded that Ye Tian give everyone an explanation."
"But that Ye Tian was arrogant and defiant. He spoke so insolently that it enraged Instructor Lu, who then prepared to teach him a lesson. But to everyone's surprise, Ye Tian was incredibly powerful and managed to injure Instructor Lu."
"Just as Instructor Lu was about to teach Ye Tian another lesson, the female student appeared. She struck him with a single palm attack, leaving him in this condition. That's the whole story!" the instructor said.
Guan Tianshui frowned slightly upon hearing this. 'If what this instructor says is true, then dealing with Ye Tian is going to be tricky. If it's not handled properly, it could cause a public outcry among the students, and the situation would beco unmanageable.'
Guan Tianshui hadn't beco a vice dean for nothing; he was a thorough thinker. He wouldn't take the instructor's words at face value. A decision could only be made after he fully understood the situation.
"I understand. I will handle this matter properly. This is a high-grade Healing Elixir. Have Instructor Lu take it. Take good care of him. I'm taking Ye Tian and the female student back to the academy for now," Guan Tianshui said.
After he finished speaking, a red porcelain bottle appeared in his hand. He gave it to the instructor and then walked directly over to Ye Tian and Zhang Xinlan.
Although Guan Tianshui's words seed to promise justice for Instructor Lu, it was obvious he was shielding Ye Tian. That an instructor's status was sohow less important than a student's was truly shocking to everyone.
"Ye Tian, you truly went a bit too far today. I don't want to say any more about it right now. Let's just return to the academy. You can explain yourself to Dean Xiao personally. How he chooses to punish you will be his decision!" Guan Tianshui said to Ye Tian.
"Since you've put it that way, Dean Guan, there's nothing more for us to say. I trust Dean Xiao will be fair to everyone. In that case, let's go," Ye Tian said calmly.
In his heart, Guan Tianshui was imnsely grateful to Ye Tian. 'If it weren't for him, I might have already died from that Fire Poison! He saved my life. Even if I can't repay the debt right now, I will still protect him. If there weren't so many students and other instructors around, I might have just killed that Instructor Lu myself.'
"I'll go back with you! Ye Tian and Zhang Xinlan are my students. It's my responsibility to know the full story behind this!" Lin Ling then said to Guan Tianshui.
Guan Tianshui was initially reluctant to agree, but after seeing Ye Tian give him a nod, he said, "Since Instructor Lin feels that way, then let's all go together!"
And so, the four of them—Ye Tian, Zhang Xinlan, Guan Tianshui, and Lin Ling—left imdiately, leaving behind countless students who stared after them with looks of disbelief and envy. They were all jealous that Ye Tian and the young woman nad Zhang Xinlan could receive such blatant protection from a dean.
On the way, Guan Tianshui asked Ye Tian, "Ye Tian, what really happened? You killed students and injured an instructor. That's not your usual style."
"That instructor only told one side of the story. The real situation wasn't like that at all. I'm usually a very calm person. I don't get angry unless soone crosses my limits."
"Without distinguishing right from wrong, that Instructor Lu tried to kill outright. Of course I wasn't going to stand for that. If it weren't for his status as an instructor, I would have killed him," Ye Tian said angrily.
"What on earth happened, Ye Tian? You still haven't explained it clearly. This is no small matter. Injuring an academy instructor is grounds for expulsion, and this is the first ti sothing like this has ever happened. I imagine both deans will have a hard ti dealing with this!" Lin Ling interjected.
Ye Tian glanced at Lin Ling, knowing she was worried about him. "Lin Ling, you know Zhou Xiang and his group, right? They're my brothers. But what I saw when I found them made furious, because they were nearly killed."
"This field exercise helped many students increase their strength, but many also lost their lives. As for my three brothers, they had a brush with death themselves."
"They were forced to lure Demon Beasts for others to kill, then they were robbed of all their Magic Crystals and beaten half to death. As their leader, I couldn't just stand by while my brothers were bullied like that. I had to go and confront the ones responsible."
"After I taught one of them a lesson, the guy actually put a bounty of one thousand Spirit Stones on my head. It's like the old saying goes, 'n die for wealth as birds die for food.' More than ten students attacked at once. I couldn't just sit there and wait to be killed, so it was only natural for a few of them to get hurt or killed."

After hearing Ye Tian's explanation, neither Guan Tianshui nor Lin Ling said a word. You couldn't say Ye Tian was wrong, but you couldn't say he was right, either. Killing people was certainly wrong, but killing in self-defense was a different matter. It was a truly thorny issue.
Before long, the four of them passed through the Teleportation Gate and returned to Linyuan Academy. Guan Tianshui led Ye Tian and Zhang Xinlan directly to the dean's wing, with Lin Ling following close behind.
At that mont, Xiao Wenjie was sitting alone in a pavilion, drinking tea. His brows, however, were knitted tightly together, as if he were worried about sothing.
The sudden appearance of the four startled Xiao Wenjie. "Brother Tianshui, what is all this?" he asked, clearly surprised to see Ye Tian, Zhang Xinlan, and Lin Ling with him.
"We've run into a difficult situation. And on top of that, I have so news that will shock you beyond belief," Guan Tianshui said.
"What could possibly have you so worked up? You're usually so calm, no matter the situation," Xiao Wenjie asked…
"Ye Tian killed two students and injured an instructor. What's more, there is a supre powerhouse among the students. You'll be shocked when I tell you who," said Guan Tianshui.
