"Boy, you're far too arrogant! Since you're so eager to die, I'll oblige you!" the skeleton monster roared, the ghostly light around its body intensifying.
The only thing Ye Tian felt was the pressure increasing. He could no longer straighten his body and felt as if he could fall to the ground at any mont.
However, Ye Tian knew the pressure would be even greater on the ground. At least in the air, with no foothold, he could borrow the Power of Heaven and Earth to resist.
A CRACK-CRACK-CRACK sound ca from his bones, which felt like they were about to break. The intense pain drenched Ye Tian's clothes in sweat.
'But right now, all I can do is endure,' he thought. 'I have to drain all of this skeleton monster's energy. As long as the drug's effects wear off, it'll be my victory. At the sa ti, this is a good chance to see just how much I can withstand.'
'Even though this is taking a huge toll on my body, I think it's worth it! I still haven't fully absorbed the energy inside . Perhaps this imnse pressure can act as a catalyst and help finish the process.'
After a while, seeing that Ye Tian was still struggling to hold on, the skeleton monster said, "How does it feel, boy? Are your bones and organs slowly shattering now? You're dreaming if you think you can hold out until my drug wears off. I see right through your little plan."
"Let tell you, you won't get that chance! You might as well just wait for death! Soon, once I get your Dragon Pearl, everything I've done will have been worth it!"
Ye Tian glanced at the skeleton monster and said, "You really underestimate . You think this little bit of pressure can hurt ? If you've got what it takes, bring on sothing stronger! What's wrong, is your energy almost gone? Is that why you sound so unsure of yourself? Are you trying to test ? HAHAHAHA!"
After saying this, Ye Tian felt the pressure on his chest suddenly ease just a little. It was likely because so of the Frenzied Energy inside his body had been consud.
If not for this terrifying energy inside him, Ye Tian might truly have been unable to hold on. Although his Defense Power was formidable, the difference in their Power Realms was simply too vast. In front of an absolute expert, he was still too weak.
The energy from the Seven-Colored Lotus Seed was truly terrifying, and the addition of the Tribulation Thunder's energy only made a bad situation worse. Thankfully, he still had that restorative, rosy glow inside him; otherwise, Ye Tian would have already exploded and died. With his current power, even if he had nine lives, attempting to absorb the energy of the Seven-Colored Lotus Seed would have been a guaranteed death.
But because of this, the Wood Attribute Death Qi within him was finally brought under control. It could even be said that he had absorbed it for his own use. It had now ford a small bead in his Dantian, and Ye Tian knew from personal experience just how incredibly potent this Wood Attribute Death Qi was.
At this, the skeleton monster was a bit dumbfounded. He was well aware of the strength of his own Spatial Pressure, and the fact that it couldn't crush the boy before him was truly unexpected.
He knew very well that his drug's effects would only last for another hour at most. If he couldn't kill Ye Tian by then, he would be the one to die. He was starting to feel very anxious.
He couldn't rely on pressure alone to kill him; he had to use a Martial Skill. 'Right now, he's pinned by my pressure and has no way to fight back,' he thought. So, he decided to use a Martial Skill to kill Ye Tian directly.
With this in mind, the skeleton monster once again unleashed the Netherworld Ghost Claw with its long, withered hands, clawing swiftly toward Ye Tian. It was incredibly fast, appearing before Ye Tian in the blink of an eye.
Ye Tian hadn't expected the creature to launch a sudden attack. Dodging was extrely difficult, but just as the skeleton monster attacked, the pressure on his body vanished, giving him a mont to prepare.
Ye Tian quickly moved aside, narrowly avoiding the skeleton monster's main attack. However, the powerful Wind Blades still left several deep gashes on his body.
For him to be injured despite his current Defense Power truly spoke to how formidable the Attack Power was. However, in the instant he moved aside, Ye Tian also swung his Black Glaze Sword. A golden Sword Aura erged, laced with Thunder Power.
The attack landed squarely on the skeleton monster, instantly severing one of its withered hands. This was completely unexpected for the monster; it never thought Ye Tian would actually be able to attack it under these circumstances.
It had been extrely confident in its Defense Power, believing that nothing short of a Divine Weapon could harm it. But it was unlucky enough to run into Ye Tian's Black Glaze Sword, which was an Ancient Divine Artifact. Even though it was only exhibiting a third of its attributes, that was still more than enough to completely shatter the monster's defense.
Severing its arm was therefore a natural outco. At that mont, no red blood flowed from the wound; instead, a green liquid gushed out, carrying a nauseating stench that instantly spread through the air.
Ye Tian frowned slightly but paid no mind to his own injuries, as he knew the bleeding should have already stopped and that they were healing rapidly.
'I still have a lot of Frenzied Energy inside ,' he thought. 'Now that this skeleton monster is injured, it's the perfect ti to strike while the iron is hot. I have to burn through this energy as fast as possible so it doesn't cause any more trouble.'
Seeing its own arm fall from the sky, the skeleton monster let out a trendous roar. It was impossible to tell if the sound was one of pain or fury. Its two ghostly blue eyes had turned blood-red, making it even more terrifying in the night.
Ye Tian, however, paid it no mind. He rapidly swung his Black Glaze Sword, unleashing Gold Slash after Gold Slash. He attacked with his greatest possible Attack Power, thinking he might even be able to kill the monster before its drug wore off.
The injured skeleton monster's body trembled violently. Ye Tian then noticed that its severed arm was rapidly regenerating, a truly bizarre sight. The most frightening part was that the newly grown arm was much longer than its other one and looked even more powerful.
"Boy, you dare to injure ! I'll make you die a miserable death for this!" the skeleton monster shrieked at Ye Tian.
"Stop your bragging. People who talk as big as you usually end up dead, and you won't be any different! If you've got the guts, then bring it on!" Ye Tian retorted.
As he spoke, he sent another fierce slash of Sword Qi from his Black Glaze Sword. However, the skeleton monster's dodging speed was also astonishing. Ye Tian's next few attacks all missed, and in fact, the attacks coming from its newly grown withered hand were starting to give him so trouble.
From a distance, Zhang Xinlan and Ye Bing watched the two fight in the air. It was impossible for them to help. 'I can't believe this skeleton monster has such terrifying regenerative abilities,' Zhang Xinlan thought. 'It's like it's unkillable.'
'Our only hope is to wait for its drug to wear off. I just hope Ye Tian can hold on until then... but from the looks of it, he should be able to make it.'
"Hey, ugly! Your drug should be wearing off soon, right? Getting a little anxious, are we? Co on! I'm waiting for you!" Ye Tian laughed loudly. He was doing this to enrage his opponent, hoping to drive the skeleton monster into a frenzy and shorten the duration of its drug's effects.
