"Feifei, you broke through? To the One Vein Eighth Layer in such a short ti? This is fantastic! My daughter truly hasn't disappointed !" Ye Weitian laughed.
Hearing Ye Weitian's words, both Ye Tian and Ye Feifei breathed a sigh of relief. 'So he didn't figure it out after all.' They knew, however, that they couldn't hide the truth for long.
"It's all thanks to Brother Tian that I was able to break through. He's the one who had take the Three-leaf Golden Ganoderma. Otherwise, it would have taken quite a bit longer to reach the Eighth Layer!" Ye Feifei said.
Ye Weitian shot Ye Tian a look of approval. 'Good job, kid! You really haven't let down.'

Too embarrassed to speak, Ye Tian could only give Ye Weitian a slight nod, accepting his terms. His heart, however, was now hamring in his chest.
"Brother Tian, what's wrong? Why do you look so pale?" Ye Feifei asked.
"It's nothing. I probably just haven't been sleeping well these past few days. Don't worry!" Ye Tian said quickly. He certainly didn't dare tell Ye Feifei that her father already knew what had happened between them.
Ye Weitian smiled faintly and said, "Alright, I'll let you two off the hook for today. Go on back and get so rest. Train hard in your free ti. It won't be long before the three great families hold their elite competition. Whether or not you can get into Linyuan Academy will all depend on how hard you're willing to work!"
Ye Tian and Feifei nodded and took their leave. Ye Weitian chuckled to himself. 'With their current strength, how could the disciples from the other two families possibly be their match? Ye Tian... oh, Ye Tian... I'm really looking forward to seeing just how far you can grow.'
Ye Tian's heart finally settled once he was back in his room. The Eight-winged Golden Scale Python was lying motionless on the desk. When Ye Tian walked in, it simply blinked, looking a little tired.
Worried by its abnormal behavior, Ye Tian asked, "Ye Lin, what's wrong? Did you expend too much Energy?"
"I'm fine, Boss. I was waiting for you! I was just conserving my strength. You wanted to make Ye Hu lose his mory for a while, right? I'm ready!" said the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python.
"Ready for what? What do you need to do?" Ye Tian asked. He only half-understood what the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python was saying, having no idea how to extract the venom from its body.
"Boss, go find a bottle. Then, use your Black Glaze Sword to pierce my skin and let two drops of my blood fall into the bottle. After that, fill it with fresh water and let it sit for two days. That'll be enough," the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python explained.
"And fill it with water? Ye Lin, your blood seems to be a potent venom... Will piercing your skin hurt you?" Ye Tian asked, concerned.
"Of course not. A little wound is nothing! Now hurry up and get everything ready!" the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python urged, sounding a bit impatient.
Ye Tian happened to have a bottle on him—the one that held his Celestial lody Pills, which still contained two elixirs. With a quick thought, he produced the bottle, tipped the two pills out, and swallowed them in one go.
Ye Tian didn't even stop to think if taking two Celestial lody Pills at once would have any adverse effects on his body. All he cared about right then was getting an empty bottle.
The Celestial lody Pills dissolved the mont they entered his mouth, sliding down his throat and into his body. A cooling sensation appeared, which then began to course through his ridians, but Ye Tian didn't have the ti to pay it any mind.
Following the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python's instructions, he took out his Black Glaze Sword, preparing to pierce its skin to get the blood. 'All I care about right now is making Ye Hu forget that mory,' Ye Tian thought. 'It's the only way I'll be safe.'
As for Ye Shixue, he still trusted that she wouldn't reveal his secret. The Demon Dragon and the War Dragon were mortal enemies, but they possessed a noble sense of dignity and wouldn't resort to treacherous, underhanded sches.
"Go ahead, Boss, I'm ready! Just pierce my back, that'll do it!" the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python said.
"I know," Ye Tian answered simply. He raised the Black Glaze Sword and thrust it at the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python. However, he used very little force, and when the tip of the sword touched the python's body, it failed to penetrate even an inch.
Only then did Ye Tian rember that the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python's Defense Power was imnse. 'If I don't use real force, there's no way I can break its skin.' He had just been worried about using too much strength and hurting it, but he abandoned that thought now. He'd be lucky if he could even get through its defenses at all.
Having figured this out, Ye Tian increased the force behind his thrust considerably. To his frustration, he was still unable to pierce its body.
"Ye Lin, your Defense Power is ridiculous! I already used eighty percent of my strength! Don't tell I have to use one hundred percent?" Ye Tian couldn't help but exclaim.
"Even a hundred percent might not be enough to break through. Stop holding back, Boss, and hurry up! If we miss this specific ti, we'll have to wait another ten days!" the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python said…
