At this mont, no one could tell what was going on inside Tian Yongheng's mind.

He smiled faintly while driving his car and looking up at the bright sky that was slowly turning dark and stars becoming visible, with the galaxy coming into view.

He arrived ho and went straight up to his room without even eating dinner.

His family was puzzled by the sudden change in his behavior, though they didn't seem to mind it too much.

They knew what kind of person he was. He must have been tired from the journey and just wanted to rest early.

...

Tian Yongheng lay on the bed as thoughts of what happened today crossed his mind.

All this wealth and possessions...they'll soday go into the hands of another individual. Why does it really matter..?

At this thought, he couldn't help but let out a soft sigh.

The life of a mortal really isn't it...only if immortality was real and eternal life achievable...

He closed his eyes slowly and fell into deep contemplation. Slowly, he drifted off into a peaceful sleep, the fatigue from earlier taking over him.

However, not much ti had passed until he suddenly opened his eyes, and what entered his vision was nothing but pitch black darkness, as if only the empty void existed over his head.

He was startled and opened his eyes in suprise, only to find out that he was no longer in his room but in a dark, empty, and unknown place. There was no light here, or perhaps, light never even existed in this place. He couldn't tell what was the truth or if he was even awake right now or not.

"Is this a dream?"

He muttered to himself.

Looking around, there was still no sign of anything but pitch black darkness.

The only odd thing was that he could still see his hands, legs, and other body parts normally clear to one's own vision, though he couldn't figure out how.

After sitting in silence for a few more seconds, he turned his gaze downwards, and what ca into view was a magnificent sight.

A river shimring with divine light, with both its starting and end points indiscernible. It seed both infinite yet also as if it was never there to begin with, like it was on a different, higher plane of existence but beneath his feet at the sa ti.

It hadn't been long before Tian Yongheng realized that he wasn't standing on the river. Instead, he was floating atop its surface, like there was an invisible barrier which prevented him from fully stepping into the river. He instinctively felt that sothing would go extrely wrong if he stepped inside of the river which flowed endlessly, causing no ripples on what seed to be "water" at all.

Tian Yongheng was deeply shocked when he saw this scene, he tried to convince himself that it was all a dream, but it felt way too real to be a dream.

At that mont, a majestic voice rose from nowhere, echoing through the void.

"What is a mortal doing here?"

Tian Yongheng subconsciously looked around, yet he found no sign of anybody near him.

The voice sounded again as a mysterious and illusory figure began to manifest out of thin air, the scene fascinating and otherworldly at the sa ti for a mortal such as Tian Yongheng.

"You're not supposed to be here...huh?"

Suddenly, the voice stopped abruptly.

Just by the appearance of the illusory figure in front of him, Tian Yongheng felt as if he was about to die from the imnse pressure. He was sure that the celestial entity before him had deliberately controlled his presence so as to not harm him, otherwise, there was no way he would last even a mont here.

Facing this rather unbelievable situation, beads of sweat dipped down from his forehead. He couldn't even utter a single word from fear.

"You're not normal. No wonder you were able to enter this place."

The majestic, cold voice sounded once again as everything around Tian Yongheng started to disappear, his vision blurring.

"We shall et again if fate allows."

The ethereal voice echoed for one last ti before Tian Yongheng opened his eyes in panic, beams of sunlight entering his room from the windows through the corners of the curtain.

He sat up imdiately and felt the warmth of his bed under him.

He had returned to his room.

He broke out in cold sweat as he recalled his previous experience.

What the hell was that supposed to be...?

For a long ti, he tried to gather his thoughts until finally coming to the conclusion that last night's events were possibly in a dream, perhaps a lucid dream. But inwardly, he still had a strong hunch that it was definitely not a dream.

Had it been a lucid dream, he should have been able to control it, but he couldn't do that. There was also that mysterious being, who seed to be fully conscious.

Still feeling a bit bewildered, he noticed the rays of sunlight and realized it was already morning.

He cleared his thoughts and slowly got up from the bed.

But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't forget the terrifying experience from last night. It was undoubtedly the closest to death he had ever been in his entire life.

Not wanting to think about it anymore, he busied himself by cleaning up and getting ready for school.

He didn't even eat breakfast and directly set off for school.

It was his birthday today and he turned 18, so he naturally received a lot of gifts and wishes from everyone around him.

After the classes, he went outside with Hong Wen and their followers.

As the heir of the Hong Family, a relatively powerful family, Hong Wen naturally had a lot of followers just like Tian Yongheng.

The only difference was that Tian Yongheng was a level above him in all aspects.

As the day passed, surrounded by friends, he naturally forgot about last night's events.

They decided to go to a restaurant, with the expenses being handled by Tian Yongheng, obviously, to celebrate his birthday among his circle of friends and followers since he won't be able to spend ti with them later at night and be with his family instead.

At the restaurant, while both him and Hong Wen were ordering food, they heard a commotion outside, with soone yelling continuously.

"Don't you know who I am!?"

An arrogant voice ca out from the mouth of one of the people standing there.

He was surrounded by bodyguards, one look and anybody could tell he was a rich, second generation young master.

Suddenly, one of Hong Wen's followers went outside to quell the commotion.

Seeing this, Tian Yongheng threw Hong Wen a glance, to which latter just nodded. It was clear that Hong Wen sent that guy out.

He said respectfully, "This young master here, what's the matter? If anyone has done anything wrong here, be magnanimous and let them be. My Hong Family's young master and the Tian Family's young master are also here, please give them face."

The arrogant young man was slightly taken aback, but the next mont, an icy expression returned to his face.

"I see, so it's the Tian Family and the Hong Family's young masters."

He turned his head and glared at the restaurant owner who was standing with a slightly hunched back in a apologetic manner.

"Hmph, had it not been for the young masters of the Tian and Hong families, this restaurant of yours would have been demolished today. Don't repeat this mistake in front of ever again!"

Saying this, he turned around and began to walk away, however, he glimpsed inside of the restaurant, a mysterious smile flashing across his face before disappearing.

On the other hand, after talking with the restaurant owner, Hong Wen's follower reported that apparently, that person was the second young master of the Wang Family, and the reason he was so angry was because he had also co to the restaurant to eat but the tables were already full.

"Such a childish reason to lash out."

Tian Yongheng remarked disapprovingly.

Hong Wen just let out a sigh as he ordered food.

Fortunately, the second young master of the Wang Family was a sensible person and did not try to provoke either of them.
