Huichun Hall was a highly reputable dicine shop in Luofeng City, where the principle of fairness was upheld, deception was forbidden, and the practices of dicine and sales were always just. Hence, it garnered great trust from the people of Luofeng City.

Entering Huichun Hall, Ye Chen clad in black robes attracted considerable attention. However, since it was noon, a ti when most people were resting, the large dicine shop had no custors and was very quiet.

He went straight to the counter where the shopkeeper was an elderly man with white, hoary hair. An experienced and trusted physician who had practiced dicine for many years in Luofeng City, he was affectionately known as Doctor Xiao due to his surna.

Doctor Xiao wasn’t surprised by Ye Chen’s arrival in a black robe. Since the shop also purchased dicinal materials, it wasn’t uncommon for sellers to appear in disguise, especially those dealing with rarer dicines, to avoid attracting trouble and being robbed of their money.

He asked gently, "Sir, are you looking to sell dicine?"

"Mhm, I’m looking to sell this bottle of dicine liquid," Ye Chen responded, his voice slightly hoarse, making it difficult to determine his age. He took out a dicine bottle from the wide sleeve of his robe and placed it on the rosewood counter.

Doctor Xiao took the dicine bottle, which looked quite ordinary; the kind you could acquire two for a re copper coin on the streets. However, the mont he opened the stopper, a faint, dicinal fragrance wafted out, instantly invigorating the senses!

A fine product!

With years of experience in dicine, Doctor Xiao recognized at first sniff that this bottle of dicine liquid must be of superior quality. Upon closer inspection, the liquid inside was a clear, erald green, with a cool aura that seed to alleviate any aches on the body, causing him to inwardly marvel.

Delighted, and seldom encountering such a fine product, Doctor Xiao asked, "Sir, may I inquire, is this a healing liquid?"

Ye Chen nodded and said, "Doctor Xiao has good eyesight indeed. This is a healing liquid which is especially effective against the concealed afflictions one might sustain during cultivation, offering a complete cure."

Upon hearing this, Doctor Xiao was shocked. Even the most ordinary healing liquid could fetch a price of over five gold coins. However, a healing liquid that could completely cure the chronic ailnts of a cultivator’s training was far more precious, commanding a price many tis to dozens of tis that of the ordinary kind.

"How much do you wish to sell for? Our Huichun Hall is interested in buying," Doctor Xiao quickly asked.

For such an exquisite dicine liquid, naturally one couldn’t just let it pass by.

Ye Chen raised three fingers from within the folds of his wide robe. Although Doctor Xiao felt so surprise looking at his unexpectedly pale, almost youthful fingers, he nodded, "Thirty gold coins is a bit expensive, but the price is fair. Huichun Hall is willing to make the purchase and can pay on the spot."

However, the man in the black robe shook his head and said, "Doctor Xiao, I think you misunderstand, it is not thirty gold coins, but three hundred gold coins."

"Three... three hundred gold coins!?"

Doctor Xiao was taken aback and couldn’t help but gasp in astonishnt.

Though the bottle of healing liquid appeared to be of fine quality, three hundred gold coins was an exorbitant price, inconceivable for the average person. Who would foolishly spend such a sum on a dicine liquid, even if its effects were excellent?

"Sir, don’t you think... the price is a bit... steep?" Doctor Xiao couldn’t help but say.

Ye Chen shook his head, knowing those familiar with him from his previous life would be astounded if they knew the dicine liquid he concocted sold for only three hundred gold coins. How could it be too high? If anything, it was far too low.

Seeing this, Doctor Xiao didn’t insist any further and sighed, "I’m sorry, sir, but the price is too high. Huichun Hall must regretfully decline to purchase."

Ye Chen, concealed under his black robe, slightly furrowed his brow, not expecting to hit a wall on his first attempt. It seed selling the liquid wasn’t going to be as easy as he had imagined. However, only a true alchemist would understand the true value of this dicine liquid and that even three hundred gold coins were too little.

After a brief pause, Doctor Xiao added a sentence, "Dear guest, if you trust Huichun Hall, we can sell it on your behalf. We only charge a commission fee of five Gold Coins upon a successful sale, and there’s no fee if the transaction fails. What do you think?"

If Huichun Hall didn’t buy it, they could still act as an agent to sell it, but they would earn a certain commission fee.

Although a commission of five Gold Coins was a bit high, it was only relative to the price of three hundred Gold Coins; otherwise, it wouldn’t normally be so expensive. Ye Chen didn’t mind and nodded, "That’s fine, I’ll co back in three days. By the way, I want to pick up so dicinal materials. Here’s the list; the amounts must be exact, I need ten portions."

He handed over a list filled with writing.

Doctor Xiao received it and glanced at the dicinal materials listed on the paper, which included items like Qingling Grass, Nine Spirit Ginseng, Forest Cold Fruit, Fire Candle Fruit, and so on. Although they were not exorbitantly priced, these were mostly rare dicinal materials, and even so so obscure that average physicians might have never heard of them. This caused him to look at the mysterious black-robed figure with slight astonishnt.

However, the custor is God, and despite his surprise, Doctor Xiao didn’t pry further. After asking Ye Chen to wait for a mont, he went back to the pharmacy and gathered five portions, saying, "Dear guest, here are the dicinal materials you requested. Please check if the amount is sufficient."

Ye Chen took them and weighed them in his palm, knowing just by that they were spot on. He also opened them to take a look, and with his keen eye, he could tell at a glance that the dicinal materials were not adulterated and that their ages were sufficient – they were all at least of dium to high quality. He nodded, "It’s correct, how much is it?"

"In total, it’s eighteen Gold Coins, five Silver Coins, and seven Copper Coins, but we’ll round it down to just eighteen Gold Coins for you now," Doctor Xiao said.

Many of the dicinal materials were rare and unusual, so naturally high-priced, and hence quite expensive. But Ye Chen still frowned slightly; the amount would take away most of his wealth all at once.

It was just as well, as long as he could sell the dicine liquid, it would be enough to exchange for three hundred Gold Coins. Besides, the value of these dicinal materials was far more than just sixty-five Gold Coins to him.

Not long after Ye Chen left, an elder in a white robe walked in, bearing a badge on his chest shaped like a tripod furnace with a star embedded in it, gleaming brightly and drawing attention.

Everyone who saw the white-robed elder stopped to pay respects, showing their admiration. The black-robed man, however, remained calm and composed in his deanor.

Upon closer inspection, one could see that the gazes of those around him were mostly fixed on the badge on his chest, revealing a look of worship and envy.

Anyone knew that this was the badge of a One-star Alchemist, a symbol of an Alchemist’s status. With just that badge, one would receive the highest treatnt throughout Xiafeng Country.

The mont the white-robed elder appeared, the steward of Huichun Hall imdiately showed respect and hurried forward, saying, "So it is Master Li Yun, your presence graces us. Please, please, have a seat."

Li Yun was a renowned Alchemist in Luofeng City, or rather one of only two Alchemists in the entire Luofeng City. Li Yun was one of them.

Even though he was only a One-star Alchemist, the status of an Alchemist was significant, and he had co from the Royal Capital. Even the City Lord Ye Ao would have to show him respect when eting him.

Li Yun waved his hand and smiled, "You flatter , Doctor. This ti I’ve co to purchase so dicinal materials. I’ve heard that the dicinal materials sold in Huichun Hall of Luofeng City are the best in terms of credibility and quality. Recently, I’ve wanted to concoct a Pill and I lack so ingredients, does Huichun Hall have them available for sale?"

Doctor Xiao promptly stepped forward to inquire, "Master Li Yun, just tell us what you need, and if Huichun Hall has it, we will definitely provide the best dicinal materials for you."

Li Yun nodded and took out a piece of paper, swiftly writing down a series of material nas and handed it over, saying, "These are the materials I wish to purchase, Doctor Xiao, please see if you have them?"

"Qingling Grass, Nine Spirit Ginseng, Forest Cold Fruit, Fire Candle Fruit..." Doctor Xiao took the list, looked it over carefully, and suddenly was greatly surprised. It almost exactly matched the list previously given by the black-robed man, and he couldn’t help asking, "May I ask, Master, what effects does the Pill you intend to concoct have?"
