"Everyone, don’t let your guard down, there may be so hidden traps. It’s best to be cautious," a Holy Land Master spoke up, warning all the Heroic Masters not to take the situation lightly. Even they, powerful as they were, had grave expressions, and so Holy Land Masters nearly brought out their prepared Forbidden Artifacts, just in case.
They all waited patiently, but after half a day, there still wasn’t the slightest ripple of movent, everything seed so calm, as if there truly was no disaster at all, which caused many to relax a bit and not be as tense.
"What should we do?" a Heroic Master asked, with his brows knitted, because they could not investigate anything inside from the outside, which was the most daunting part. Even the Heroic Masters dared not rush in rashly.
Everyone knew that this was the city where a Purple Mansion Great Power from the past had secluded himself for cultivation, and it would not be easy to enter.
However, with no fluctuation after such a long ti, it was inevitable to feel anxious because just waiting wasn’t a solution.
"Let try," a Heroic Master volunteered, stepping forward and creating a perfect projection of himself, which contained formidable Divine Power and a wisp of Divine Thought. It rged into the Divine City, attempting to investigate everything inside.
The mont the projection entered the Divine City, the Heroic Master could no longer sense anything about it—it was as if it had gone into another universe, unreachable.
The other Heroic Masters quickly asked him about it, and he shook his head, recounting what happened truthfully.
All the Heroic Masters furrowed their brows, but after waiting for a mont, they finally decided to let a few Heroic Masters enter first, equipped with sufficiently powerful Magic Artifacts, and they were instructed by all the Heroic Masters to exit the Divine City imdiately if anything went wrong.
"Go in!"
Three formidable Heroic Masters went in first. Their three figures rged into the city gate’s light screen, and in an instant, all traces of their presence disappeared, untraceable, even their respective Secret Treasures were blocked.
Everyone watched all these developnts closely.
A mont passed, then two, then three...
Ti gradually slipped by, and after half an hour, the three Heroic Masters still had not co out. The other Heroic Masters began to look grave, sensing that sothing unfavorable had happened. They exchanged glances, each with a solemn look.
Suddenly, the city gate’s light screen rippled, spreading circles like ripples, because a figure burst out from it, halting on top of the city gate, exposing half of his body.
Although bloodied and disheveled, everyone recognized him—it was one of the Heroic Masters who entered earlier, a Prince from the Immortal Empire of the Central Domain with a cultivation close to that of a Saint Master.
Seeing his ergence, many couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief, as they thought sothing had happened inside, but everything seed as before.
However, Ye Chen’s expression subtly changed, as did Elder Yan’s. They sensed an unusual Qi chanism.
The Taichu Female Saintess quietly stepped forward, and at the sa ti, representatives from the Great Leiyin Temple, Yaochi Sacred Land, and Ancient Heavenly Court did the sa, all silently girding themselves.
"Prince Yun Cang, what’s actually inside, and why did it take you so long to co out?" a Holy Land Master asked, voicing the sa question in the minds of the others.
Prince Yun Cang suddenly lifted his head, startling everyone, because at that mont, Prince Yun Cang looked terrified, as if he had encountered so appalling horror, pale-faced, and scread with all his might, "Don’t go in there, inside there’s heaven..."
Crack—
He couldn’t finish his sentence when suddenly a bloody gash split open on his forehead, his eyes bulging, blood flowing from all seven orifices, his body oozing blood, dyeing his garnts red. Then, as if sothing had grabbed him, he was violently yanked back into the Divine City, leaving no sound behind.
All the others were unnerved, their hearts pounding. A powerful presence of Saint Master level had so suddenly beco that eerily stricken, his forehead split open, his body bleeding, and his expression one of terror. He had only managed to say half a sentence, cautioning them not to enter, as if there was so frightening entity inside that even he could not resist.
It was like a pall of shadow over everyone’s hearts, causing considerable panic and confusion.
What exactly had happened? Why was Prince Yun Cang so terrified, why did he scream like that?
What sort of beings existed inside that seed even more terrible than the Alien Race, so powerful that even a Saint could not resist, and the entire person was pulled into the Divine City, unable to co out again.
Even the formidable Heroic Masters looked grave, weighed down by heavy hearts.
Indeed, the disappearance of the Purple Mansion Sacred Land overnight tens of thousands of years ago held great mystery. Perhaps it involved the Alien Race, but there seed to be other, more terrible evil beings inside that caused terror in the heart, fear in the spirit.
Murmur—
Before long, at the city gate, within the light screen, scarlet fresh blood suddenly seeped out, staining the ground red and transforming into patches of blood rain scattering in the air, casting an evil and ominous presence.
Moreover, faintly, it seed one could hear the horrifying roars and screeches echoing through Divine City, as if so terrible Great Evil resided there, causing people’s courage to falter and hearts to tremble.
Everyone’s complexion changed, panic set in—sothing they had never experienced even when facing the invading alien hordes, who had been directly swept aside.
Perhaps the truly frightening thing was the unknown; no one knew what Great Evil existed within.
"What should we do?"
It was unclear who spoke up, but no one paid attention, their gazes instead turned toward All Heroes, for they were the ultimate decision-makers, holding the right to command the Alliance Army’s advance or retreat.
However, the sudden disappearance of the three Heroic Masters and the mysterious incident of Prince Yun Cang had left everyone unable to remain calm, filled with confusion and disquiet.
All Heroes exchanged glances, showing hesitation, when at that mont, a powerful Saint stepped forward, exuding an extraordinary and imposing aura, tall and robust, dressed in a dragon robe—he was the emperor of a great Immortal Empire, the Emperor who controlled the fate of countless beings, and also the brother of Prince Yun Cang, the Emperor of Xia Country.
At that mont, his dragon-like gaze swept over All Heroes authoritatively, and he spoke in a solemn voice, "Advance into Divine City. Ladies and gentlen, let us not forget why we have gone through so much effort to form this alliance, to obtain the Divine Treasure of Purple Mansion Sacred Land. We have all co this far; are we to give up now?"
One of the Heroic Masters couldn’t help frowning, saying, "Emperor Xia, Divine City has great mysterious dangers hidden within; it’s not wise to enter rashly. We should consider our options carefully."
Emperor Xia scoffed, flicking his sleeves, "Consider carefully? We have assembled the peak forces of various powers here, unprecedentedly, and all of you have made thorough preparations, more than sufficient, even bringing Forbidden Level Magic Artifacts. Is there still sothing to fear? We can proceed directly into the city—worst cos to worst, we’ll use our Forbidden Magic Weapons to break through any obstacle."
"Indeed, Emperor Xia is correct. Everyone is well prepared; there’s no need for worry. Moreover, with All Heroes entering together, united in strength, there is nothing to fear, even if an Invincible of Heavenly King Level were to arrive—we could calmly face them," another Heroic Master also spoke up, holding sway as the master of an Immortal Sacred Land, gaining agreent from many.
From beginning to end, Taichu Female Saint remained expressionless, silent, indifferently observing everything.
Eventually, All Heroes unanimously decided to proceed together. With thorough preparations, they believed that even if there was so Great Evil presence, as long as they used their Forbidden Level Daoist Weapons, everything could be resolved.
With a rumble, under the leadership of All Heroes, they all charged toward the gates of Divine City.
Divine City was vast and majestic, and naturally, its gates were enormous, allowing many people to enter. Under the leadership of All Heroes, everyone entered in succession.
"Let’s go in, too," the young prodigies followed suit.
Each Heroic Master made their preparations, with Divine Power boiling within, Dao and Magic surging, ready to act. Yet, upon entering Divine City, the scenery before their eyes changed drastically, shocking everyone.
"What is this..."
All were wide-eyed, mouths agape, stupefied by the sight before them.
For the sight was not that of an Ancient City filled with towering palaces, but a vast small world. Though far from as imnse as the world of Purple Mansion Sacred Land, it was still remarkably open.
And unlike the dark, evil place they had imagined, it was like a small paradise. Tall Immortal Mountains reached into the clouds, billowing Spirit Fog everywhere, forests in abundance, lush and green.
There were plants of Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures aglow, exotic fragrances of dicine bursting forth, cranes soaring, Spirit Deer leaping, Demon Flood Dragons poking their colossal heads out in deep pools by waterfalls, and Rocs flying high with powerful wingbeats.
All of this was extraordinary, almost like a genuine Immortal Realm—sunlight bathed the area, Divine Springs bubbled forth, the void blossod with Divine Lotuses, and rainbows of seven colors hung in the sky, harmonious with Immortal Energy overflowing, rendering a sense of boundless ease and joy.
"Is this... a paradise?"
Everyone exclaid in amazent, observing the tranquil atmosphere of this small world, where spiritual dicines were everywhere, Divine Springs flowed thunderously, and a mist of Immortal Energy enshrouded it all, devoid of the evil they anticipated.
But this was precisely what made All Heroes’ complexions change, for such tranquility felt all the more sinister.
They had clearly seen Prince Yun Cang outside, with a terrified look, held by so horrible being, his blood staining the gates of Divine City red. Now, such peace seed bizarre.
"Ladies and gentlen, you have finally arrived. We have been waiting for you for a long ti."
A warm chuckle sounded, and they saw a tall figure descend from the sky, as if stepping on invisible stairs, his robe elegant and fluttering, giving off an ethereal air as he landed before everyone.
However, what left everyone dumbstruck was that this figure was none other than Prince Yun Cang—who had just monts before seed utterly terrified.
