Jiang Feng had thought about this a long ti ago.
If one day he was hunted down, where would be the safest place to hide?
So he kidnapped Han Dong.
He wasn’t worried about having nowhere to hide.
He brought Han Dong to an abandoned courtyard, and in this courtyard was a secret chamber Jiang Feng had discovered by accident.
He hid Han Dong inside.
Tied Han Dong’s horse up outside the secret chamber.
Taking advantage of Han Dong still being unconscious.
Jiang Feng used only his Primordial Power to seal Han Dong’s Qi and Blood Power, so that when she woke up, she couldn’t fight back.
Then he prepared half a month’s worth of dry rations and two large jars of water for Han Dong, placing them in the secret chamber, making sure she wouldn’t starve during her confinent.
Besides that, Jiang Feng thoughtfully left a few miscellaneous books for Han Dong.
So during her confinent, she wouldn’t ntally break down and start screaming.
After all that was done.
Jiang Feng finally left the secret chamber.
Then blocked the entrance.
Of course, he also left several ventilation holes, and even prepared so candlelight for the keen-eared and sharp-eyed Han Dong.
"Ah!"
Two hours later.
Inside the chamber, Han Dong’s faint groans could be heard.
She finally woke up.
Jiang Feng hadn’t left, still hiding in the abandoned courtyard.
After a quarter of an hour.
There was the sound of soone pushing and hitting the chamber door.
Clearly Han Dong was trying to get out from inside.
Unfortunately.
Her Qi and Blood had been sealed by Jiang Feng.
To unlock it.
She would need at least a few days.
Secondly.
The numbness from the Poison Needle hadn’t worn off yet.
Jiang Feng, wanting Han Dong to understand her predicant, had even jabbed her with another needle before leaving, so although Han Dong woke up, her movents were very slow.
The banging coming from inside.
Was probably Han Dong using sothing to bang on the door.
"Why are you keeping here? What do you want?"
After another quarter of an hour, Han Dong seed to calm down.
She looked around.
There was food and water in the chamber.
The other party didn’t seem to want to kill her.
Or at least, wasn’t in a hurry to do so.
"Sister Dong, bear with it for a while, stay in there. When Xiao Ran finishes his business and cos looking for you at Zhenbei Prison, I’ll let you out."
Jiang Feng responded silently in his heart.
The calr Han Dong got, the more at ease he felt, but also the more vigilant.
And so.
Jiang Feng stayed in the abandoned courtyard, guarding Han Dong.
Of course, at altis every day.
Jiang Feng would return to Willow Alley.
He’d light a fire in the kitchen, and at night, he’d go see Uncle Huo, appear in front of their old couple and the neighbors, creating the impression that he’d never left Willow Alley.
Three days passed in a blink.
Han Dong called out many tis in the chamber.
Jiang Feng didn’t respond to her.
Eventually Han Dong gave up hope.
She tried her best to break the Primordial Power shackles, hoping to use her Qi and Blood Power to smash open the stone door.
Unfortunately, Jiang Feng had anticipated this.
Whenever he sensed Han Dong might break his Primordial Power shackles, he’d deal with her using the Poison Needle, making her suppress her anger and quiet down.
Ten days passed in a flash.
Han Dong nearly broke the Primordial Power shackles twice, but Jiang Feng stopped her just in ti. Her mood beca much more irritable, yet she managed to stay calm, trying several tis to probe for Jiang Feng’s identity.
But Jiang Feng never said a word.
Leaving Han Dong completely helpless.
"Xiao Ran, if I ever find out it’s you, I’ll kill you."
On the thirteenth day.
Han Dong seed to lose her cool.
Inside the secret chamber, she said through gritted teeth.
She was imprisoned, but her life wasn’t in danger, her needs were provided for. It felt like the other party ant to confine her, not to harm her.
Almost as if to prevent her from leaving Dragon Capital to take care of business.
She thought for a long ti.
Decided Xiao Ran was most likely behind it.
But wasn’t entirely sure.
Because, judging from Xiao Ran’s relationship with her, he wouldn’t have locked her in a secret chamber to let her suffer.
Of course, maybe Xiao Ran did it on purpose, to avoid suspicion.
Anyway.
In Han Dong’s heart, Xiao Ran was the pri suspect.
Jiang Feng left, apologetic.
That night, he paid a visit to Prince Zhennan’s Mansion.
This ti, he ca quietly, not like last ti when he went straight to see Xiao Ran.
He checked it out.
Lately, Xiao Ran hadn’t been in the mansion.
That night, he left with his attendants, and hadn’t returned since.
No idea what business he was off handling.
Two days later.
It had been half a month since Han Dong’s confinent in the chamber.
Xiao Ran finally returned to the mansion with his attendants, looking exhausted.
Jiang Feng also returned to the abandoned courtyard where Han Dong was imprisoned.
He eyed the stones blocking the chamber door.
From a distance, he flicked a pebble.
The pebble knocked loose a key stone at the back, the one that acted as a door bolt to keep the main stone in place so Han Dong couldn’t push the door open.
He then disappeared, heading straight back to Willow Alley.
"Hmm?"
The pebble outside was knocked loose.
Han Dong sensed it.
She’d been confined for half a month.
Her hair was disheveled, her eyes bloodshot.
Hearing movent outside.
She didn’t act rashly.
Instead, she composed herself, and first broke free of the Primordial Power shackles around her body.
After these days, she’d co to know that person’s thods — as soon as he sensed she tried to escape, he’d attack with the Poison Needle.
The chamber was so small.
Her Qi Blood was sealed by the other’s Primordial Power.
Han Dong was always completely powerless to fight back.
So she learned.
Pretended to be weak and exhausted.
Slowly worked to break free of the Primordial Power shackles.
Two hours later.
Han Dong finally succeeded.
But still didn’t act impulsively.
She waited until it was late at night, when everyone outside was quiet and most tired.
She activated her Qi and Blood Power.
And tried to use all her strength to see if she could push the stone door open.
"Buzz buzz!"
The stone door moved easily under her push.
Han Dong was both shocked and elated.
She imdiately pushed the door wide open.
Stepped out of the secret chamber.
In the courtyard, she spotted the red horse she’d ridden from Zhenbei Prison.
And at the chamber door, picked up her Two-Handed Sword.
Looking again at the loose pebble outside the door, Han Dong realized her captor had deliberately let her go.
"Don’t let find out who you are!"
Han Dong seethed with anger.
Even though her captor hadn’t hard her, being locked up for half a month for no reason had left her furious.
She quickly mounted the horse and rode off.
As if eager to finish her unfinished business.
The next morning.
Jiang Feng rose early to check Fortune Point changes.
Fortune: 36115
Lately, his Fortune Points had settled into a daily rhythm, increasing by a dozen or so every day.
Now it had finally added up past thirty-six thousand.
Unfortunately, there was still no plus sign beside Tai Chi Longevity Skill.
To get stronger, Jiang Feng needed to keep accumulating Fortune Points.
After breakfast.
He went to the alley entrance, and headed to Zhenbei Prison with Uncle Huo.
Han Dong had given him half a month’s vacation.
Now his leave was over.
Jiang Feng had to return to work at Zhenbei Prison as usual.
Upon entering the third floor, Jiang Feng felt a sense of novelty, but dared not relax on the job. He imdiately checked the work results of several Squad Leaders over the past month.
Then, with them following, he inspected the cells under his jurisdiction.
"Where is Dong’Er?"
Half an hour later, Xiao Ran couldn’t find Han Dong, and ca over to ask Jiang Feng.
Jiang Feng saw that Xiao Ran was accompanied by the Chief Constable of the Dragon Capital Governnt Office, Huo Shangxiang.
