"No, if it dies in Zhenbei Prison, no matter the excuse, there will be no explaining to the Second Prince."

"But if we don’t kill it, what should we do?"

"With its hostility towards , it might not even wait for the Second Prince to return before telling Changqing Chuan what happened."

"Damn it, how did we run into it in Dragon Capital."

"Forget it, at worst, I’ll be punished for dereliction of duty. No matter what, I can’t let it et Changqing Chuan and the Second Prince again."

Jiang Feng found himself with no options.

He could only resort to the crudest ans, either do it or don’t, and kill the White Ape directly.

Even though he would be punished later, it was still better than letting the Second Prince know he had taken the spiritual liquid.

No matter what, the Second Prince shouldn’t suspect that the people of Zhenbei Prison stole the spiritual liquid just because the White Ape died there!

"When things don’t go your way, you have to take risks."

Jiang Feng thought helplessly.

"Soone, prepare the horses, I need to go out for a bit."

At that mont, Han Dong’s voice ca from outside the workroom.

"Where is Sister Dong going at this ti?"

"With her gone, I can take this chance to get rid of the White Ape."

Jiang Feng thought to himself.

After a while, Jiang Feng saw Han Dong riding away from Zhenbei Prison.

"Sister Dong might be going to the Imperial City to visit Han Tieshan."

Jiang Feng speculated.

"Roar!"

The White Ape let out a low growl of anger.

The effect of Changqing Chuan’s poison needle seed to be wearing off, and the White Ape’s aura was gradually recovering.

But the talisman left by the Beast Master inside it prevented it from activating its bloodline power to resist, leaving it trapped in the Water Prison, venting through its roars.

"Shut up!"

Jiang Feng approached the White Ape.

"Roar!"

"Grrr grrr!"

Seeing Jiang Feng, the White Ape, already agitated, beca even angrier. If not for the iron chains and the talisman suppressing its bloodline power, it would have shattered the Water Prison and crushed Jiang Feng with a punch.

"Lord Commander, this beast looks terrifying."

"My ears are going to be deafened by it."

"It refuses a toast, let’s make it drink a forfeit; Lord Commander, let us handle it!"

Several prison guards near the Water Prison couldn’t help but shout.

The White Ape’s roar was extrely painful for them, and although its bloodline power was suppressed, its voice was still terrifyingly loud.

"You all leave; I have my own way of dealing with it."

Jiang Feng waved his hand, directing the Prison Guard Captain and the guards away, to prevent anyone from witnessing his thods.

"Yes!"

The prison guards, already suffering from the White Ape’s roaring, hurriedly left upon hearing Jiang Feng’s order.

After they left, it wasn’t long before the White Ape’s roars grew weaker and eventually ceased altogether.

Jiang Feng erged from the Water Prison area.

Heading toward the workroom.

"Lord Commander, you’re amazing; that beast has finally quieted down."

A little prison guard flattered him.

"Pass down the order that no one is to approach the Water Prison for now, lest we provoke the beast and disturb everyone."

Jiang Feng instructed.

"Yes, thank you for thinking of us, Lord Commander. I will be loyal and dedicate myself to you."

The little prison guard knelt down, kowtowing in gratitude.

"Your na is Zhao Ming, correct?"

Jiang Feng asked.

"It’s an honor for , busy as you are, Lord Commander, to rember my na. I would bear any hardship or danger for you!"

Zhao Ming thumped his head hard against the ground, speaking fervently.

"You’re talented, but Zhenbei Prison is too small for you."

"Soone, throw him out."

Jiang Feng shook his head, instructing the nearby subordinates to carry Zhao Ming out.

"Yes!"

Prison Chief Wang and Uncle Huo, standing by, each grabbed an arm and dragged Zhao Ming out from the third floor.

"Lord Commander, I am loyal to you, please give another chance!"

Zhao Ming pleaded as he struggled.

Jiang Feng ignored him and entered the workroom.

"What an idiot. Lord Commander is strict and detests sycophants and show-offs. He’s only t the Lord Commander a few tis and dares to show off in front of him."

"Indeed, people like him are only trouble for the Lord Commander. Today he’s kneeling for attention; tomorrow, he’d be kneeling before a First-Grade Official for promotion."

"In these tis, even smart people can’t succeed. Let’s just do our jobs and not think beyond that."

"Stop talking, the Lord Commander is watching us; get to work."

The two prison guards who were gloating at Zhao Ming’s plight imdiately started cleaning when they felt a sharp gaze.

"Hmph!"

Jiang Feng snorted coldly, frightening the two little prison guards into scurrying outside to work.

"Director Han."

Half an hour later, voices ca from outside as the staff greeted Han Dong.

"Sister Liu, the White Ape is locked in the Water Prison. It doesn’t seem quite right."

Then ca Han Dong’s voice.

"It’s been subdued by your Highness; it can’t make trouble. I’ll do sothing to ensure it doesn’t cause issues in Zhenbei Prison."

Then Liu Yun’s voice followed.

"Thank you so much, Sister Liu; as long as we hand it over to His Highness safe and sound, my job is done."

Han Dong laughed.

"Oh no, Sister Dong didn’t go to the Imperial City to visit Han Tieshan; she went to the Demon Suppression Bureau to bring Liu Yun over."

Jiang Feng’s expression changed.

He knew Liu Yun’s soul power was even stronger than Li Zhang’s, and her coming to Zhenbei Prison to inspect the White Ape might expose his secret.

"Prison Chief Wang, go get Commander Jiang over here and tell him I’ve brought the most powerful Beast Master."

Han Dong told Prison Chief Wang.

"Yes, uh, Lord Han, you just said you wanted to go to the Water Prison."

Prison Chief Wang was about to fetch Jiang Feng when he realized sothing was wrong.

"Is there a problem?"

Han Dong questioned.

"Commander Jiang just instructed that no one should approach the Water Prison for now. The big monkey was making a racket; it only quieted down when Commander Jiang went over. Commander Jiang is worried people approaching might provoke the monkey."

Prison Chief Wang explained.

"What?"

Han Dong frowned at first, then, realizing sothing, his expression changed, and he hurried to the Water Prison.

Liu Yun quickly followed.

Prison Chief Wang scratched his head, unsure of the issue, and could only go fetch Jiang Feng.

"Commander Jiang, Lord Han requests you go to the Water Prison."

"Alright, I know."

Jiang Feng sighed inwardly; he didn’t bla Prison Chief Wang and could only brace himself to go to the Water Prison.

Han Dong and Liu Yun quickly arrived at the Water Prison.

They saw the White Ape with its head bowed, sitting against the wall, motionless.
