Chu Ning continued cultivating his spirit plants.
By noon, Chu Ning prepared so spirit rice dishes and invited Cen Zijin to join him for a al.
At the Foundation Establishnt Stage, fasting for extended periods becos possible.
However, Cen Zijin readily agreed.
The two of them went to the eastern side of the cave mansion, enjoying the spirit rice while admiring the scenery of the lake.
After they finished their al, Chu Ning used a few small techniques to clean up.
Cen Zijin suddenly recalled sothing, casually taking out several tea brewing tools from her storage bag, and smiled at Chu Ning:
"I rember, Fellow Daoist, you ntioned the spirit tea is quite nice last ti. I happen to have so in my storage bag."
For the two of them, who were skilled in both Fire and Water Attribute skills and techniques, brewing spirit tea was a trivial task.
Soon, a cup of spirit tea, steaming and exuding spiritual qi, appeared before each of them.
Chu Ning realized then that he had never cultivated spirit tea before despite growing spirit plants.
Since there was still so space in the spirit field, it seed like a good idea to plant so of it.
So, he asked Cen Zijin:
"Fellow Daoist Cen, are there seeds for this spirit tea? If there are, I can plant so in the spirit field later."
Cen Zijin shook her head.
"I haven’t been exposed to spirit plant cultivation, so I didn’t prepare any seeds. If you want, I can get so seeds later and bring them to you."
Chu Ning was just asking casually, and hearing no seeds were available, he didn’t dwell on it.
Rembering the storage bags of those two Foundation Establishnt cultivators that hadn’t been touched, Chu Ning took them out.
Along with them, he took out the Ghost Head Ruler and Dragon Bone Claw used by the two individuals from his own storage bag and placed them on the stone table in front.
Then he said to Cen Zijin:
"These items are from the two people you defeated, and I thought they might be useful to you.
So, I haven’t touched them."
"Thank you!" Cen Zijin said, taking out various items from the two storage bags to inspect.
There were so elixirs and jade scrolls among them.
Chu Ning seed to catch a glimpse of several jade tokens as well.
After examining these items, Cen Zijin gazed out at the distant lake with unfathomable eyes.
Chu Ning, seeing this, didn’t disturb her and continued sipping his tea.
From Cen Zijin’s reaction, it appeared that he was right in his previous conjectures.
She probably figured out sothing from those two storage bags, possibly even their purpose for being here.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t show such a complex expression.
After having four or five cups of tea, Cen Zijin finally sighed and withdrew her gaze.
She then apologized to Chu Ning:
"I apologize for making you laugh, Fellow Daoist Chu. This place indeed allows for peace and reflection on the myriad disturbances."
Hearing this, Chu Ning glanced at her exquisite face and offhandedly comnted:
"It seems that the renowned Fairy Cen of the Thousand Lakes and Thousand Islands isn’t as carefree as she appears."
Upon hearing this, Cen Zijin wasn’t angry. Instead, she nodded gently and said:
"Fellow Daoist Chu is the first to say this to , yet your words are true."
It looked like Cen Zijin wanted to say sothing else but then stopped. She pointed to the storage bags and magical artifacts on the table and said:
"If it weren’t for you, Fellow Daoist Chu, keeping a watchful eye and assisting decisively during the fight,
I might not have escaped the clutches of those two. Technically, these items should belong to you.
However, I have use for these items and hope you can allow to keep them. I’ll offer you sothing else in compensation."
"No problem." Chu Ning nodded slightly, agreeing with Cen Zijin’s request.
He hadn’t intended to claim the items, but since she brought it up, he had no reason to refuse.
In fact, despite being a Foundation Establishnt cultivator, the differences in cultivation techniques ant
that many items would be unusable for him.
If he can exchange them for sothing valuable, it would be worthwhile.
Cen Zijin, seeing Chu Ning agree so readily, imdiately asked:
"What would you like, Daoist friend?"
Chu Ning thought for a mont and replied, "Elixirs, suitable for cultivators at the ninth layer of Qi Refining and Qi Refining Perfection."
After a brief pause, he added, "If you have elixirs with Fire and Wood dual attributes, that would be ideal."
Back during the confrontation on Pinghu Island, Chu Ning had already revealed his cultivation in Wood Attribute techniques and skills.
So, naturally, there was no need to hide anything now.
"I have 60 Jade Dew Pills at that level but none specifically for Fire and Wood dual attributes."
Cen Zijin said this while taking out three bottles of elixirs from her storage bag and placing them in front of Chu Ning.
Her expression grew thoughtful.
"So, Fellow Daoist, you are a Fire, Wood, and Earth Spirit Root cultivator; no wonder you have such skills."
Chu Ning smiled slightly, tacitly acknowledging.
And Cen Zijin rembered the scene from Pinghu Island where Chu Ning fought against his enemies.
Her bright eyes observed Chu Ning, her long eyelashes fluttering slightly.
"Fellow Daoist Chu, even at the ninth layer of Qi Refining, you possess two top-level magical artifacts, enough to trouble Foundation Establishnt cultivators.
During the Thousand Islands competition, you held back a lot and managed to fool us."
Chu Ning shook his head and said:
"At the eighth layer of Qi Refining, I was naturally at a disadvantage, and couldn’t reveal my treasures easily."
After saying this, Chu Ning spoke to Cen Zijin with seriousness:
"Please keep my situation confidential, Fellow Daoist Cen. I just want to cultivate quietly, and do not wish to attract undue attention."
