Yang Chan descended the mountain once again. Aside from the beginning of the path which he’d walked before, the rest of the way was unfamiliar.
Tan City was located to the northeast, so the journey was naturally different from the one to Taiyu City, as was the route they took.
The one leading the way this ti was Gu An, the dicine Hall Master, who was also the one who had promoted Yang Chan. Back then, after Gu An saw Yang Chan practicing the Ox Demon’s Mighty Fist, he had Steward Sikong offer him a little assistance. This ca in the form of a bowl of Qi Nourishing Soup, which allowed him to be smoothly promoted to an Official Disciple.
Although the two hadn’t interacted much since, they had at least established a friendly connection. Before they left the mountain, dicine Hall Master Gu An had even t with Yang Chan specifically to tell him that he could seek him out if he ran into any trouble. It was a clear signal that he wanted to be on good terms.
Yang Chan naturally nodded and agreed. After all, he was likely to face a lot of trouble after leaving the mountain. Furthermore, Lü Zhenghai’s attitude had been strange. Faced with Gu An’s olive branch, he naturally accepted it, as it would bring him considerable benefits.

Han Bingyu diligently brought him a waterskin during a break from their journey. This wasn’t the first ti, and Yang Chan had grown accustod to it.

Yang Chan handed the waterskin back to Han Bingyu and continued sharing so of his hard-earned lessons.
He knew Han Bingyu had left the mountain for missions before, but the people she had faced were surely not as depraved as the mbers of the No-Life Evil Cult.
They use all sorts of manipulative tricks to turn common people against mbers of the Cyan Yuan Sect. Such tactics are even more despicable than those used by the Three Major Sects.
Of course, the Three Major Sects never stooped to such levels, but they did leave behind plenty of hidden agents and employed all sorts of insidious and vicious tactics. In the end, however, the Cyan Yuan Sect wiped them out completely.
"I understand. Thank you for the warning, Pharmacist Yang."
A smile appeared on Han Bingyu’s face. She took the waterskin, but just as she was about to drink, she rembered Yang Chan’s warning and began to inspect it. Only after finding nothing wrong did she take a sip.
Yang Chan nodded in approval.
’She’s a fast learner. With that level of awareness, she should be able to avoid a lot of trouble.’
Not far away, Gu An also noticed the exchange. He had been keeping an eye on Yang Chan from ti to ti during this trip, watching for any unusual behavior.
