At this mont, Ace was finally able to break free from the suction force, and the surrounding darkness vanished. But when his vision settled, he was dazzled by the luxurious golden hall.
"Steward...?" Ace was bewildered as he called, but he couldn’t complete his sentence when he suddenly noticed a regal woman in a faceless mask sitting on an imposing throne and staring at him with a hint of subtle amusent.
The mont he locked eyes with her, his mind seed to suddenly co to a standstill, as if falling into an illusion. But almost instantly, the Holy Twilight Spirit Qi in his body circulated on its own, and he instantly returned to his senses.
Ace instantly averted his eyes, as his back was already drenched in sweat. He no longer dared look at her, but his heart was beating wildly because he couldn’t perceive her with his sharp sense, as if he were one with her surroundings.
’Who is she!?’
"Oh?" Prosperity Matriarch seed sowhat surprised, before she spoke impassively, "You are Ace?"
Ace suppressed his urge to escape and replied respectfully, "This disciple is indeed Ace. May I know who the senior is?"
Prosperity Matriarch didn’t answer. Instead, she questioned, "Who do you think I am?"
"I don’t dare to be presumptuous enough to guess your exalted identity." Ace politely responds while keeping his head low.
Although he couldn’t guess this woman’s identity, given what had just happened, he was sure she was terrifyingly powerful—so powerful that he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to react if she decided to make a move.
’Could she be...?’ A terrifying thought surfaced in his mind as he sweated.
But this only made him even more disquieted, and the abruptness with which he was pulled back from the mission and then dragged to this place made him know this matter was anything but simple.
Prosperity Matriarch looked at Ace deeply before she comnted impassively, "At least you know your place."

At this mont, "Is this the other one?" a man’s gruff voice rang with a hint of curiosity.
Ace was shocked because, at this mont, he glanced in the direction of this voice and saw a tall, handso middle-aged man in a golden robe with long white hair standing right beside Prosperity Matriarch’s throne.
But this mysterious man wasn’t there a mont before, and Ace felt his presence wasn’t any different from that of the woman. Both were unfathomable.
Prosperity Matriarch nodded in affirmative without saying anything. At this mont, Ace suddenly felt a terrifying law sense locked on him, ripping past his spiritual defenses, probing his very foundation and soul!
Ace was shaken because, despite the Avatar of Holy Twilight’s Ascension Warrior cultivation, even Ascension Lords might not be able to break past his defenses, especially so easily.
Furthermore, this act was considered extrely rude and like stripping others naked while probing others’ secrets. The middle-aged man’s eyes shone profoundly before a hint of disappointnt surfaced, and he finally retracted his law sense.

Ace wanted to curse, but he was suicidal enough, and he had already rembered this grudge in his heart.

Prosperity Matriarch thought little of Ace’s reaction since, in her eyes, it was only natural for soone like Ace to be moved by this sudden windfall. After all, the position of a core disciple of the PHW King Sect was extrely prestigious.
Without any delay, Ace signed the law contract, and the next mont, it turned into a streak before vanishing into his glabella.
But sothing shocking happened the mont the ’law contract’ was signed. A golden rune suddenly appeared on Ace’s forehead, and the sa rune surfaced in Prosperity Matriarch’s eyes.
The next mont, that rune vanished before Prosperity Matriarch nodded and waved her sleeve, sending Ace away.
Prosperity Matriarch muttered at this mont, "Calamity or blessing, I shall prevail!"
