One of the largest and most renowned shops within the Black Hermit Markets was ’Eden Alchemy Trove’, which sells all sorts of alchemy items, herbs, and even accepts individual alchemy.
Furthermore, Eden Alchemy Trove was actually one of many branches of another colossal power of the Abyssal Plains, with an Abyssal King reigning over it, the Eden Alchemy Abyss!
Although the Eden Alchemy Abyss couldn’t compare to an ancient existence like the Evernight Council, it still controls a large region of the Abyssal Plains. It has an ’alliance’ relation with the Evernight Council.
This alliance was one of the reasons that the Evernight Council wouldn’t restrain the Eden Alchemy Abyss from branching out within their domain, but there was always a price for such kindness known to the involved parties. Especially when dealing with the absolute powerhouse of the Abyssal Plains, the Evernight Council.
Anyhow, the Eden Alchemy Abyss has a resounding reputation in Abyssal Alchemy, and their alchemy inheritance was considered equivalent to the Evernight Council.
Just this was the reason enough to earn them fa and respect from Abyssal Beings, not to ntion their current President, known as the Eden Alchemy King, was revered by many as the only known 9-Star Abyssal Alchemist!
That’s why even the Evernight Council won’t fall out with the Eden Alchemy Abyss so easily, and allow them to form an ’alliance’ with them.
Today, an urgent eting was being held within the Eden Alchemy Trove within the Black Hermit Market.
In a luxurious, illuminated hall within the Eden Alchemy Trove’s signature ’furnace’ shaped building, three 6-Star Abyssal Alchemists, who were also the vice branch leaders of this branch, wore solemn expressions as they looked at a skinny Abyssal Fiend.
Although this Abyssal Fiend seems fragile, his infernal eyes were sharper than blades and filled with the might of an 8-Star Abyssal Lord, not to ntion the wisdom of a 7-Star Abyssal Alchemist!
This Abyssal Fiend was the branch leader of this Eden Alchemy Trove, ’Master Bellamy,’ and he was even more famous than the City Lord, Khazar.
Master Bellamy spoke with authority, yet there was a tingle of indignation within his voice for so reason, "I’ve just received an order from the headquarters after I sent the report of the Dread Duchess personally arriving in the Black Hermit City to preside over the sudden chaos within the Black Hermit Mines. The ’Scarlet Vice President’ has personally given an order to invite the Dread Duchess to the Eden Alchemy Abyss."
When the three vice branch leaders heard those words, their solemn expressions almost crumbled, and their eyes widened in disbelief while faint black lines appeared on their foreheads.
One of the vice leaders, an abyssal devil, almost lost his composure as he blurted out, "What!? The Scarlet Vice President is released!?"
"Not only that, but d-don’t tell he still hadn’t given up?!" Another Abyssal Fiend with dark brown skin and burly build, couldn’t help but exclaim in disbelief as if hearing sothing ridiculous.
Another vice leader, a winged giant demon, nodded while adding, "Do you think he had forgotten about the beatin..."
"Ingrates, watch your words!"
Master Bellamy berated while glaring at the winged giant demon, making the latter and others shrank their necks back with a hint of resentnt as if they were being wronged for rely trying to state a fact.
However, Master Bellamy himself has the sa thoughts as his vice leaders because it wasn’t actually a secret; in fact, it was one of the biggest controversial topics of the Abyssal Plains, and also the biggest stain on the Eden Alchemy Abyss’s reputation.
"We shouldn’t gossip about our superiors!" Master Bellamy stated matter-of-factly.
’But you were the one who was gossiping about it with the Branch Leaders of the Obsidian Myriad Kingdom!’
All the vice leaders thought almost the sa thing at the sa ti, with a secret disdain in their hearts.
As if sensing their disdain, Master Bellamy’s face turned slightly pale, and he angrily shouted, "You bunch of busy bodies! I’ve decided, you three are going to complete this task given by the Scarlet Vice President personally!"
The mont the three vice leaders heard it, their expression turned deadly pale as if they had been given a death sentence.
"Leader! We were wrong, please don’t send us to our death!"
"Indeed, you know the Dread Duchess’s temper, right!? She’ll burn us alive if we dare even to ntion his na!"
"A-and, we won’t have the exalted president to save us as well!"
The three of them pleaded with massive tears in their eyes while looking at Master Bellamy as if their souls were about to leave their bodies if the latter didn’t take back that deathly command.
"Hmph!" Master Bellamy snorted, but his heart softened as he wasn’t really going to send them and was teaching them a lesson.
After all, Master Bellamy won’t even dare to go himself because he knew it would be akin to knocking on the door of the Grim Reaper, not to ntion the Scarlet Vice President was an infamous troublemaker. Everyone wanted to stay away from him!
"As long as you guys behave, I’ll forget about what I just said."
Master Bellamy nodded, but the threat in his statent was apparent; for those three, it was like a pardon, and they were almost moved to tears and about to thank Master Bellamy profusely when all of a sudden...
"Bang...!"
The door of the eting hall kicked open, startling everyone, including Master Bellamy, and he was about to fly into rage, but quickly swallowed back his words when he saw the person who had kicked open the door.
At that mont, an Abyssal Demon with fierce deanor and disheveled appearance was staring at Master Bellamy with bloodshot eyes like a mortal enemy, sending chills down Master Bellamy’s spine.
"Alchemy Guardian, what happened?" Master Bellamy asked politely, despite the Branch Guardian’s abrupt disrespect.
The reason behind Master Bellamy’s polite attitude was that this person was a Half-Abyssal Grand Lord, who was actually in charge of this branch’s security and protecting various treasures within the Eden Alchemy Trove.
No one was suicidal enough to go after Eden Alchemy Abyss. If it were a few years ago, the role of ’Alchemy Guardian’ within the Eden Alchemy Abyss didn’t even exist.
But after the appearance of the Evil Venerable Angel, and she actually robbed Eden Alchemy Trove, not just one but five tis over in succession, the Eden Alchemy Abyss was forced to create an ’Alchemy Guardian’ and divide its forces, not to ntion hiring experts.
However, since E.V.A has been inactive for a while now, people have started to forget her. Still, the Eden Alchemy Abyss will never be able to do the sa, and the role of ’Alchemy Guardians’ also remains the sa.
There was even a rumor that the Eden Alchemy King has been searching for E.V.A to this day!
Now, seeing the usually lethargic Alchemy Guardian’s twisted expression as if soone had castrated him, everyone knew that sothing huge had happened!
