Cole shrugged, his face indifferent: “But war always consus so things. If we can secure the victory of our comrades outside the city, our lives would not be wasted.”
At this point, Cole snorted lightly and said nonchalantly, “I admit that from the surprise attack at the clock tower to our successful regrouping, the Otherworlder has done quite well. But that’s about it.”
“So, I don’t bla the Otherworlder; I’m just disappointed. The purportedly god-like Mr. Lane actually only told us to build defensive works, which this legion commander would have done even without his instruction.”
“That’s enough; after all, he’s done his best. It’s just not as earth-shaking as the legend, and I hope the Sanders Family won’t be ruined by this Otherworlder.”
Hearing Cole’s words, Kowen and the other two newly arrived legion commanders all sighed lightly and shook their heads helplessly.
