Chapter 2335: Chapter 1295: Encounters in the Heart of the Forest (Part 2)
Leo Ray gazed at the colossal, ancient head resembling a giant wooden carving, with a beard made of vines, and a flicker of recognition passed through his eyes.
The elder’s appearance was remarkably similar to the Tree Guardian Giants he had seen before, but in terms of vigorous ntal state and profound aura, it was far beyond what the Tree Guardian Giants could compare.
It was easy to see that the Tree Guardian Giants of the Elf Tribe were clearly created based on the form of these Treants.
“Your Majesty of the Humans, these are indeed Treants!”
Konet first nodded at Leo Ray, then stepped forward solemnly to negotiate with the other party: “Esteed tall friends, please forgive our abruptness. On behalf of the Dwarf Elf Kingdom, I bring the most sincere greetings to you.”
“Dwarf Elves, forr masters of the Mist Dream Peak, now the people of the tunnels, so it was you who brought these humans here.”
The leading Treant seed to have just noticed Konet, the shortest of them all, and a hint of anger appeared on the ancient tree’s face. In a deep voice, it asked, “Were those reckless humans who didn’t know their limits also brought by you last ti?”
Upon hearing this, a similar helpless expression appeared on everyone’s face.
It seed that the group of rude mysterious visitors had also co here, which was undoubtedly the last thing we wanted to see.
“Esteed tall friends, please listen to my explanation. I have never brought anyone else here, let alone introduced them to this area in the last 500 years.”
Faced with these stubborn big fellows, Konet dared not show any negligence and quickly explained, “I swear on the honor of the Dwarf Elves, they are definitely not the previous rude crowd. That group also visited the Dwarf Elf Kingdom and was expelled by us.”
“The humans you brought are indeed not those rude ones, and from your actions just now, it’s clear. Otherwise, we would have already acted, and the wrath of the forest is not sothing ordinary people can endure.”
The leading Treant nodded slightly and said, “They offended our kin. If it weren’t for their quick escape, we wouldn’t have let them go.”
After hearing these words, the helplessness on everyone’s faces deepened a bit, and it seed the mysterious visitors not only failed in their purpose but were also driven away.
Despite the frustration, everyone was sowhat relieved that Leo Ray quickly led our side to withdraw from the deadwood area. Otherwise, the attitude of the other side would have been worse.
“Dwarf Elves, although we haven’t communicated for so ti, since the Era of Blankness, our races have always maintained the right distance, never crossing the line, and never trespassing on each other’s territory.”
The old Treant’s deep and hoarse voice resounded again, questioning, “Tell your reason for coming here, or you will be considered enemies of the Treants.”
“Please be patient, Your Excellency.”
This ti, Leo Ray stepped forward and smiled, “We have only one reason for coming here, and that is to drive away our common opponent and restore peace to this land.”
“Oh? Human Clan, are you referring to that group of Red Dragons?”
The old Treant’s voice carried a tinge of surprise as it asked, “Does that an the Human Clan and the Dwarf Elves have beco allies?”
As the voice of the old Treant fell, the other Treants around revealed similar expressions, obviously caught by surprise.
“It seems that the mysterious visitors did not make their intentions known before being driven out by the Treants this ti.”
Leo Ray nodded slightly and then said bluntly, “That’s right, but we are not strong enough yet.”
“Interesting, I did not expect the once reclusive and weak Human Clan to have such ambition.”
The old Treant raised its wooden eyebrows and then said, “Understood, then follow .”
Seeing the other side readily leading the way, our group was sowhat surprised, especially Konet, who was familiar with Treants, almost couldn’t believe his ears.
He exchanged a glance with Leo Ray and then asked with confusion, “Esteed tall friend, where are you taking us?”
“Naturally, to the Treants’ palace, to et our Clan Leader.”
The old Treant took a giant step forward, and although it looked extrely heavy, it moved silently through the forest. With a slight turn of its head, it said, “I know what you’re thinking, that I agreed too readily, right?”
“This indeed makes feel sowhat flattered.”
Konet responded candidly, “I thought it would be more complicated since, according to the stories of our forebears, Treants are a force with their own very strong opinions that others can hardly change.”
From Konet’s words, it was clear he had carefully considered his words.
“Dwarf Elves, you’re trying to say that we’re stubborn and arrogant, aren’t you? That was indeed true.”
The old Treant’s voice revealed a hint of the past as it frankly admitted, “But you saw it just now, right? That place filled with pain and despair is the price of our arrogance.”
“We are stubborn, but we understand the need for change, just like how flora that doesn’t adapt to its environnt cannot survive for long, let alone form a forest.”
“In the face of those rampant Red Dragons, many of our kin withered, bodies cracked, and the fierce fla burned away our leaves, but it also tempered our hearts.”
The old Treant’s voice carried a touch of sadness but also firm determination as it said, “We are preparing to avenge ourselves at all tis, but the scars of the forest are too heavy, forcing us to bide our ti. Ti to us is but a fleeting mont, and we do not fear waiting, only our opponent’s escape.”
“Grandfather Treant, what about those withered Treants?”
Lina bit her lip and asked, “Can they never feel the sunlight or the energy particles of nature again?”
“You naive little sprite of the Mandela, our distant relatives of the Treants, they haven’t completely died out; they’re just in slumber, waiting for the mont to sprout again.”
The old Treant’s voice softened slightly, “However, the boundless forest, devastated by countless dragon breaths, has lost the vast majority of its accumulated Life Force. Though their roots remain, to sprout again might require an exceedingly long ti, perhaps a thousand years or ten thousand years, maybe until the end of ti.”
When the old Treant said this, Leo Ray already had a rough understanding of the situation.
As the Administrator previously ntioned, the battle with the Red Dragons in the past heavily depleted the Treant comrades, severely affecting the entire sea of trees as well.
The Life Force ntioned by the other party should be a unique energy source of the Treants, which can help Treants restore vitality.
Clearly, this energy source is nearly exhausted at present, significantly affecting the overall strength of the Treants.
But the good news is, the Treants’ resolve to fight the Red Dragons seems stronger than anticipated, implying that forming an alliance might not be easier than it was with the Dwarf Elves.
After all, the beginning of any endeavor is tough, and having the company of the Dwarf Elves was expected.
As Leo Ray thought about this, he swiftly moved through the Dense Forest under the guidance of the old Treant.
During this process, Konet introduced our side, and the old Treant also made a simple self-introduction; it was nad Shuert, serving as the Forest Guard for the Treants.
In a flash, Leo Ray noticed sothing further.
The deeper into the forest he went, the denser the trees beca, reaching an astonishing degree as if countless sky-reaching trees had ford a single entity, giving a rather peculiar feeling.
Luckily, under the guidance of the old Treant, wherever we ventured, the trees parted to the sides, leaving Leo Ray unable to tell if they were other Treants or so kind of Nature Series magic.
Until the forest opened up again with a few more sky-reaching trees yielding the way, Leo Ray’s vision suddenly cleared.
