Upon hearing the sound, Leo Ray stepped forward and imdiately walked towards Fanny's location. The latter was situated on the poop deck at the stern, where the ground was sowhat higher.
As he approached, Leo Ray's eyes were greeted by an abandoned farmland.
The entire farmland was located on a gigantic flat ship. The ship was much shorter compared to here, and only by standing on a higher point could one overlook it entirely.
"Your Majesty of the Humans, it looks just like a giant flower pot floating on the sea."
Fanny flapped her wings and said to Leo Ray, full of doubt: "Your Majesty of the Humans, why would soone move these onto a ship? It's simply mind-boggling."
"It seems that this area composed of countless ships is more like a city. Since it has farmland, there naturally would be residents."
Leo Ray gazed at the withered, cracked wasteland, nodding thoughtfully: "Perhaps calling it the City of a Thousand Ships would be more appropriate."
As they heard Leo Ray's words, the surrounding powerhouses also nodded in agreent.
Your Majesty of the Humans is right. Whether from the barren field or so other traces, it seems evident that this place was once teeming with signs of life, much like a vast residential area.
However, judging by the layer of dust covering the deck, it all must have happened hundreds, if not thousands, of years ago.
"But Lord, why would soone build such a peculiar place in the Barrier Area to live?"
Xiao Jing tilted her head, full of confusion.
"It's still unknown, but surely, this area is extrely vast, capable of accommodating a large number of residents."
Leo Ray looked into the distance, in this boundless City of a Thousand Ships, he could still faintly see plots of parched land similar to this one on the ships, and even many withered trees standing among them.
"Your Majesty, the passage into the ship is here!"
Not far from the poop deck, Bruno beckoned to Leo Ray respectfully. Among the figures of powerhouses, his tall, robust fra with a pair of horns was particularly conspicuous.
"Let's go over there."
Leo Ray nodded to Fanny and the others and once again set his steps forward.
Arriving at the spot where Bruno and the others were, Leo Ray noticed that there was a staircase entrance here extending downward into the depths of the ship. Magic spheres flickered within, and from the fresh footprints, it was clear that our powerhouses were exploring inside.
"Your Majesty, we've already investigated carefully. Although there are many entrances here, only this one leads to the depths of the ship. The others are all closed spaces, much like small dwellings."
Bruno saluted with a hand to his chest and reported to Leo Ray: "Lord Clan Leader of the Wood Fairy Clan is leading their powerhouses further in exploration inside."
"Understood, let's head down as well."
Leo Ray nodded slightly. After deploying a team of powerhouses to guard the passage entrance, he led the other powerhouses into the passage.
After passing through a relatively narrow and long staircase area, the view before the group suddenly opened up.
Illuminated by magic spheres, when Leo Ray discerned the surroundings, he imdiately widened his eyes.
This place was even more vast than he imagined, resembling an underground square, almost stretching beyond sight. It clearly far exceeded the confines of a simple ship's hold.
"Your Majesty of the Humans, we have initially investigated. This area connects at least ten giant ship holds, each joint tightly sealed with extrely ticulous waterproofing. It's indeed an astonishing grand project."
Crisis flew up to Leo Ray, full of awe, and said: "As for the function of this area, according to my guess, it should be a ritual site."
Listening to Crisis's words, Leo Ray paced slowly forward.
Indeed, as she said, the central area here was empty, dominated by a gigantic statue of a robust centaur warrior holding a longbow aid at the sky.
In front of the centaur statue was a mottled altar, covered in dust, giving it a gray appearance.
"Are the owners here actually centaurs?"
Shuert's old wooden figure contemplated, then questioned: "But logically speaking, centaurs live for generations in forests and plains far from the sea. How could they build such a City of a Thousand Ships?"
"It is indeed quite strange. From what I know, centaurs aren't creatures inclined to drift on the sea. They naturally prefer galloping across vast landscapes, and the limited space on a ship would certainly be a great constraint for them."
Broy's face also showed confusion, furrowed brow: "It's as if the Winged Race willingly caged themselves in a birdcage."
After Broy's words, confusion filled the eyes of the other powerhouses, who all appeared quite puzzled.

Leo Ray waved his hand at everyone, instructing them.

Coming to the place where Xiao Jing was, Leo Ray noticed that it was located right behind the centaur statue, at the very end of this square.
