“Are you talking about that? I don’t mind anymore. Didn’t Doctor Si tell you?” Zhuang Xian interrupted Mo Qian’s words and spoke indifferently.
Zhuang Xian could feel the strange atmosphere between the two of them. She frowned and wanted to escape from this scene. However, Mo Qian’s sudden approach made her freeze.
As Zhuang Xian was speaking, Mo Qian had already inched closer to her. When she turned her head and noticed Mo Qian’s approach, he was already in front of her.
He even reached out his slender and well-defined hand to gently pinch Zhuang Xian’s chin. The distance was too close, and his breath could already be felt on Zhuang Xian’s face.
Zhuang Xian was stunned for a moment. She felt a voice flash past her ear, but before she could catch it, Mo Qian paused. Zhuang Xian subconsciously asked, “What did you just say?”
Mo Qian furrowed his handsome brows and said with displeasure, “I’m talking to you so closely, and you’re still distracted?”
Seeing Zhuang Xian’s dazed expression, Mo Qian’s grip tightened. His expression was calm as he repeated his words to Zhuang Xian in a cold voice.
He said, “I was asking you just now! Why you had to arm yourself like a porcupine so that no one could get close to you? I won’t hurt you, so why are you avoiding me?”
At this moment, Zhuang Xian could see the confusion and worry in Mo Qian’s eyes, and even more than that, there was a deep and sincere affection.
Zhuang Xian’s heart suddenly panicked, and she subconsciously raised her hand to push Mo Qian’s hand away. In her panic, she did not have time to restrain her strength. After a loud bang rang out in the empty office, she was stunned.
The back of Mo Qian’s hand immediately turned red, but he did not seem to feel anything. He only frowned and looked at Zhuang Xian in confusion.
Zhuang Xian’s words of apology were stuck in her throat. She said coldly, “Just talk, don’t e so close to me.”
Mo Qian’s heart suddenly throbbed in pain as he looked at Zhuang Xian in this state. His calf seemed to have spasms uncontrollably as it began to twitch and tremble for no reason.
Mo Qian’s face instantly turned pale. He held his trembling calf with one hand and turned the wheelchair around with the other, leaving his back and the back of his head to Zhuang Xian, who was stunned.
Even though Mo Qian had pleted this series of actions very quickly, they were too close to each other. Zhuang Xian could see his pained and pale handsome face and the slightly embarrassed and apologetic look in his eyes.
He gritted his teeth and endured the pain, but it still leaked from the corners of his lips. His hand that was holding his calf had already begun to tremble.
Zhuang Xian looked at Mo Qian’s stubborn yet fragile back. Before she could even react, her hand had already landed on Mo Qian’s shoulder.
She heard her voice. “Your old injury has relapsed? Did you bring your medicine?”
Mo Qian’s forehead was covered in a cold sweat from the pain. Hearing this, he didn’t forget to fort her softly, “I’m fine; I’ll be fine in a while. I’ll go out for a while; I don’t want to scare you!”
As he said this, his tone suddenly lowered by degrees. The apology that sounded like an angry voice was finally spat out from his throat.
Zhuang Xian furrowed her brows and stood abruptly in front of Mo Qian. She lifted the thin blanket covering his long legs and reached to pinch his twitching calf.
Zhuang Xian’s hands exerted force as she skillfully and vigorously massaged Mo Qian.
Mo Qian seemed shocked by Zhuang Xian’s actions as he looked at her in disbelief.
He wanted to push Zhuang Xian’s hand away and not allow her to touch his legs. This was the only black spot and flaw in his life. He didn’t want Zhuang Xian to see him in such a sorry state!
But Zhuang Xian’s words made him stop. “Don’t move! It’ll be fine after this!” Zhuang Xian said in an irrefutable tone. Her eyes were filled with concern that she did not notice.
Mo Qian looked at Zhuang Xian and his thin, bloodless lips suddenly curved into a beautiful arc. He smiled and said, “Why did you help me? Can’t you just let me die from the pain? This way, no one will bother you!”
“Shut up!” Zhuang Xian raised her eyes and glared at him as she sneered.
Even after being criticized by Zhuang Xian in such a cold and unkind manner, the curve on Mo Qian’s lips did not fall. If outsiders saw this scene, their jaws would probably drop in shock!
