Aiden and the Miko sisters quickly looked toward the entrance to the second-floor passage.
Sylvia stood there, filthy from head to toe. Her face was pale with fear as she stared at the two Aberrant Fleshweavers lying dead on the ground.
"They’re dead? Those two nightmare monsters... dead?" Her body was covered in wounds. She looked miserable.
Her lips trembled. She had been forced to open the temple entrance and run for her life. She never thought those two horrors would die here.
And Rainn, Cheryl, and that human slave didn’t seem hurt at all.
What the hell happened?
Sylvia’s mind raced. She bit her lip and looked up at the throne in the second-floor hall.
"Rainn, you only have the third trial left, right? Once you pass it, you get the Primordial Miko’s legacy. So I still have a chance." Sylvia didn’t want to give up.
She had already lost two teammates. If she got nothing, what was the point of coming to the Miko Temple at all?
Rainn stepped forward, her eyes cold. She hadn’t forgotten Sylvia’s sudden attack earlier.
"W-what are you going to do?" Sylvia took a step back. Only now did she realize she might be in real danger.
She was alone. There was no way she could fight Rainn and Cheryl.
As for that human slave, Sylvia didn’t see him as a threat.
Just a human. Low level. Young. No way he was strong.
"You’re trying to scare , aren’t you?" Sylvia kept backing up. "Listen, my mother is a close friend of the Primordial Miko. If you lay a hand on , you’re dead!"
Rainn wasn’t the only one with a cold stare—Cheryl was itching to move too.
"Sis, let handle her," Cheryl said, licking her lips. A flash of bloodthirsty excitent lit her eyes. "She’s alone. She’s not beating ."
Cheryl turned to look at Rainn, her face full of worry. She shook her head firmly and said,
"No, you can’t fight."
A hint of sadness flashed in Cheryl’s eyes. She tightened her grip on her two-ter-long magic staff, but said nothing else.
She really wanted to smash Sylvia’s head and punch her mouth shut.
"How could she say such things in front of ? Or... no, why do I think Sylvia was trying to take Aiden away?"
"What’s wrong with ?" Cheryl suddenly felt a bunch of confusing thoughts in her mind. She couldn’t help but glance at Aiden.
Aiden always had an amazing, hard-to-express charm. She could never stop thinking about him.
"Ha ha, smart of you two!" Sylvia had sharp ears and overheard Cheryl and Rainn’s conversation.
But as soon as she said that, her face froze.
How could Rainn have already received the Primordial Miko’s inheritance?
That was impossible! This was only the second level of the temple. You needed to go to the third level to truly receive the Primordial Miko’s inheritance.
Unless a Legendary High Miko appeared, which was even more impossible. The last ti a High Miko showed up in the temple was hundreds of years ago.
"You think you can fool ? Rainn, you’re too dumb. Do you really think I’d believe that?" Sylvia took a deep breath and pulled out her own magic staff. She took a few steps forward quickly.
At that mont, Aiden looked at Rainn and said calmly,
"If Cheryl can’t fight, what about ?"
As soon as he spoke, Rainn smiled slightly and nodded, replying,
"You can. People from old Miko families cause a lot of attention when they die."

Aiden rolled his eyes. He didn’t really care.
This Sylvia really deserved to die.

"You owe another favor, rember that," Aiden said to Rainn.

At that mont, he really felt that his investnt back when he first t the Miko sisters was the right decision—perfect, in fact.
"Angel investor," a thought popped into Aiden’s mind.
He gave Sylvia a cold look and raised the Iron Dragon’s Magic Staff without hesitation.
Sylvia’s eyes widened in shock. She couldn’t believe that this human slave would actually attack her.
Arrogant. Bragging.
Sylvia took a deep breath and used a Starlight Rank detection skill on Aiden.
"What? I can’t see your info?" she gasped.
Her expression turned serious. She had used a Starlight Rank detection skill, after all. How could a human be completely invisible to her?
Her eyes flickered with a sudden, uneasy feeling.
The man’s face showed no expression at all. It was too calm. He didn’t even seem to care about her.
Sylvia looked at the temple guards near the passage. Without hesitation, she walked right up to the guards and shouted.
"Whoever you are, this is the Miko Temple. If you touch , these powerful temple guards will tear you apart in a second!"
"Give up. You’re just a lowly human. You can only beco a slave or a lover of Miko because of your looks."
When she said this, Aiden looked back at the throne in the hall. He whispered.
"By the way, my Class Change mission requires to kill a temple guard at level 55 or higher. This... you won’t mind, right?"
Earlier, the Wraithshard of the High Miko had told him to get stronger quickly.
Sure enough, as soon as Aiden finished speaking, one of the temple guards in front of Sylvia suddenly opened his eyes. Then he slowly started moving.
Sylvia thought the guard was about to attack Aiden. After all, Aiden was the only human in the room.
She didn’t think too much about who Aiden was talking to. It couldn’t be the High Miko in the Legendary group, right?
That was 100% impossible.
Even the Primordial Miko couldn’t see the High Miko when they entered the Miko Temple.
Soon, under Sylvia’s eyes, the temple guard actually started walking toward Aiden.
Sylvia smiled and said: "Want to kill ? Human, you’re about to die."
"Only you are a human here. The temple guards must see you as an enemy!"
"If you attack, all the temple guards here will wake up in a second!"
"You’re dead."
Aiden showed no expression. He raised his staff, and a few golden arrows ford in an instant.

The golden arrows flew through the air, moving very fast toward the temple guard.
The temple guard didn’t try to dodge or defend. As soon as he saw Aiden use his skill, he just stood still.
Boom! Boom!
The arrows hit the guard.
In Sylvia’s eyes, the guard slowly raised his weapon.
"Hahaha, idiot! You really dared to attack the temple guards here!" Sylvia smiled without hiding her expression.
But what happened next completely shocked her.
The temple guard suddenly raised his weapon and pointed it at his own chest.
Bang!
The guard fell to his knees and stopped moving completely.
Sylvia opened her eyes wide and her mouth dropped. She even reached out and rubbed her eyes, as if trying to believe what she saw.
What was going on? The temple guard didn’t fight back. He even killed himself!
Was he crazy?
Why were the other guards still standing there, doing nothing?
Sylvia felt like she was dreaming. It was all too strange, too impossible.
How could a human attack a temple guard and make the guard kill himself?
If anyone heard this, no Miko would believe it!
"Y-you... how did you do that? Who are you?" Sylvia finally asked, unable to keep quiet any longer.
Aiden didn’t answer. Instead, he suddenly rembered sothing and called out Faye from his pet space.
"I almost forgot to let you co out. You can get so experience points later," Aiden said, slapping his head.
Then he took a deep breath and, without hesitation, used his Ultimate Frost on Sylvia.
A huge wave of ice appeared. Sylvia had no ti to react. She was frozen solid in an instant.
Green wood elental arrows quickly ford.
Sylvia still tried to use her magic and the equipnt on her body, but then vines suddenly appeared and stopped her from moving.
In just one breath, her health dropped to 70%.
"Tr... teleport! Give three seconds! I can get away!" Sylvia shouted, her eyes wide with fear.
