"Everyone, I think we’ve been surrounded," Aiden said.
At once, Cheryl and Fiona turned to look at him.
"Surrounded? How is that possible? We shouldn’t have been discovered!" Fiona’s eyes widened in disbelief.
Very soon, she seed to realize sothing, and her expression suddenly turned sad.
"Was it Kora? Did he betray and inform Malcolm’s n?" Fiona asked.
Aiden replied, "That’s very likely. Otherwise, it would be too much of a coincidence."
"Even if he had accidentally drawn the soldiers’ attention, it still wouldn’t have led to a situation like this."
After all, in Aiden’s sight, those Red Dwarves soldiers were slowly forming a circle around them.
But Aiden was not worried or nervous.
Those Red Dwarves soldiers did not look very strong. From Faye’s sensing, not a single one of them had reached Mythic Rank tier, so they probably could not pose much of a threat to him.
"What a pity," Aiden sighed.
He actually would have liked so Mythic Rank Red Dwarves soldiers to appear. That way, he could raise the mission progress again.
But normally, how could a Mythic Rank Red Dwarf be just an ordinary soldier?
"We need to leave," Aiden said calmly.
He did not want to waste too much ti.
After entering the Red Dwarves underground city, they could focus on finding out how important the Scarlet Skull Goblet was to Malcolm.
Or they could simply use the roots of the Skeleton Tree to go to the Skeleton Tree’s Spirit world and see if they could find more useful information.
Just then, Aiden suddenly felt an unusually dangerous presence.
His face changed at once, and without hesitation, he grabbed Fiona and Cheryl by the arms.
In the next mont, the smoky black wings on Aiden’s back suddenly spread wide and beat hard once.
At once, dust flew everywhere, and Aiden rushed into the sky with Fiona and Cheryl.
"What happened?" Fiona asked instinctively.
Aiden’s expression turned very serious as he answered quickly, "I sensed a very terrifying presence!"
"At the very least, it’s equal to a human Great Venerable. It may even be a Demon God rank expert!"
If not for Sensory Link increasing the sharpness of his senses, he might not have noticed that presence at all.
He really had not expected sothing like this to happen in such a small town.
"We’re done for. That must be one of Malcolm’s n!" Fiona said despairingly.
But in the next mont, an old voice suddenly rang out across the whole town.
"Girl, why are you running when you see your grandpa?"
Fiona’s eyes widened at once, filled with shock and disbelief.
"Aiden, stop! Stop now!"
"He’s not an enemy. It’s Grandpa Syed!" Fiona shouted.
The smoky black wings on Aiden’s back suddenly stopped. He also realized that the other side probably ant no harm. Otherwise, at a ti like this, the man would have already made a move instead of calling out to them.
Just as Aiden was thinking that, in the next second, an extrely old and frail-looking Red Dwarves silently appeared in his sight.
That Red Dwarves appeared less than ten ters away and was carefully looking at them.
"Grandpa Syed! That’s great, that’s great. My brother and I thought you were already dead." Like a bullied child finally seeing soone she could rely on, Fiona’s eyes instantly turned red, and she started crying without being able to stop herself.
At that mont, Aiden suddenly sensed a few more clouds appear around them.
Those clouds quickly lifted Fiona up and carried her toward the Red Dwarves nad Syed.
"Who said I was dead? Alright, alright, it’s fine. As long as I’m here, everything will be alright." Syed reached out his wrinkled hand and gently patted Fiona on the head.
Aiden glanced at him, then turned his attention to those white clouds.
He had a very strange feeling that those white clouds were actually so kind of mysterious fla.
"Quick, surround them!" At that mont, a soldier’s shout suddenly broke the mood.
Aiden looked down and saw the Red Dwarves soldiers all raising their weapons and pointing them at them.
Only Kora seed to realize sothing. His face turned deathly pale, his legs shook, and he dropped straight to his knees.
"Lord Syed, you’ve returned?" Kora’s voice trembled as he swallowed hard again and again.
"Syed? The strongest Forgemaster among the Red Dwarves?" The soldiers all froze in shock.
In the sky, Syed calmly glanced at the soldiers on the ground and let out a cold snort.
At once, one white "cloud" after another fell from the sky.
In the next mont, those clouds went straight into the heads of the Red Dwarves soldiers.
"Ahhh!"
"Ahhh! It hurts! It hurts so much!"
"I want to die! Soone kill !"
One miserable scream after another instantly filled the air.
So soldiers even gripped their weapons and pointed them at their own bodies, trying to kill themselves.
"soul fire!"
"Lord Syed, I didn’t know you would return! The reason I called these soldiers was to stop Fiona from throwing her life away!" Kora explained frantically.
Still crying, Fiona sniffed hard and looked toward Kora.
As if he had caught his last hope, Kora shouted wildly at Fiona,
"I did all this for your own good!"
"Really, Fiona, if Lord Syed had not appeared, no thod could have saved Karls!"
"That human must be lying to you when he said he could co up with a way!"
"Humans are all like that, all shaless and cunning!"
Aiden laughed and said directly, "Let guess. You were thinking that instead of waiting for Fiona to be caught by Malcolm, it would be better to squeeze out her last bit of value and turn it into credit for yourself?"
As soon as he said that, Kora’s eyes widened. His expression froze for a mont, and then he quickly started making excuses again.
Aiden curled his lip. With that powerful and mysterious Syed here, Kora’s final fate was probably not for him to decide.
"That works too. I can use whatever happens to Kora next to get a rough idea of Syed’s personality," Aiden thought to himself.
The strongest Forgemaster among the Red Dwarves was soone Aiden was quite interested in.
Syed was definitely stronger than Brock and should be able to forge Mythic Rank equipnt.
Aiden had not expected that Fiona would know soone this powerful.
"This mission is probably going to beco much easier," Aiden thought to himself.
At that mont, Fiona looked hesitant and could not help asking,
"Were you really doing it for my sake?"
Kora’s eyes instantly lit up. He nodded wildly and said, "Fiona, we’ve known each other for a long ti. How could I possibly want to hurt you?"
Fiona turned to look at Syed.
A trace of disappointnt flashed through the eyes of the extrely old Red Dwarves, whose exposed skin was covered in wrinkles.
"What do you want to do?" Syed asked slowly.
Fiona then turned and looked at Aiden, falling into thought.
Under Kora’s hopeful gaze, Fiona let out a heavy breath and slowly said,
"Grandpa Syed, I trust Aiden’s judgnt. Even now, Kora is still lying to ."
"He deserves punishnt."
"But if possible, I don’t want him to die. After all, I..."
Syed only shifted his gaze slightly, and a white soul fire went straight into Kora’s body.
At once, every muscle in Kora’s body started twitching, and he fell to the ground, struggling in pain.
But compared to those Red Dwarves soldiers, he was still able to keep a bit of awareness.
"Why? I did nothing wrong!"
"What could that human possibly do? If you enter the Red Dwarves underground city, Malcolm will definitely catch you!"
"I warned you, but you wouldn’t listen!"
Kora stared at Fiona and continued, "Karls will die, and so will you!"
"And you even ca to find . If Malcolm investigates carefully, I’ll be finished too!"
"I did that to help you, and to help myself too!"
Kora was full of regret. He should never have opened the door, and he definitely should not have fooled himself into thinking Fiona would listen to him.
At the sa ti, if that human had not been here, he would not have ended up like this either.
He could not understand why Fiona believed a human could save Karls.
What Malcolm hated most was humans and Miko!
There was no way that human could have any solution!
"Enough! Even if you didn’t want to help , you still shouldn’t have called the soldiers!" Fiona shouted angrily.
Aiden looked at Kora with open disgust. He really did not like people like him.
He looked clever, but it was only petty cleverness.
"Just because I’m human, you think nothing is possible?" Aiden said calmly.
He could not be bothered to argue anymore, so he directly took out the Scarlet Skull Goblet.
"You said it yourself. This thing is very important to your Red Dwarves."
"A way out has to be thought through. If we plan it well, why would there be no hope?"
At once, Kora’s mouth fell open as he stared at the Scarlet Skull Goblet in Aiden’s hand.
Fiona had the sa look on her face, her eyes full of disbelief.
"T-That’s the Scarlet Skull Goblet? Is it real?" Fiona could not help asking.
As soon as she said that, Syed suddenly took a deep breath and instinctively moved a little closer to Aiden.
"It’s real!"
"I never expected that this thing would be in your hands!" Syed fixed his gaze on Aiden, his eyes flickering.
Just then, Fiona suddenly rembered sothing and quickly said, "Grandpa Syed, Aiden also controls Divine Golden Sunfla!"
