After hearing Malcolm’s voice outside the door, Aiden’s eyes lit up at once.

Ethan was still being held by Malcolm in the Golden Bird Cage. If you counted him, Aiden was now only missing two Mythic Rank the Abyss creatures to finish the quest.

If everything went well, he should be able to get the quest reward today.

"A Mythic Rank staff... just thinking about it is exciting." Aiden took a deep breath and walked toward the door.

He glanced back and saw that Cheryl had already pulled the blanket over her head and fallen asleep.

Aiden slowly opened the door a crack and stepped out, looking toward Malcolm.

But the mont he saw him, he imdiately had a bad feeling.

Malcolm looked serious, with his brows tightly furrowed. When he saw Aiden, a slight smile appeared on his face, and he nodded.

Then Malcolm took a deep breath and said in a low voice, "There’s another piece of bad news. It’s about Ethan."

"This morning, the Demon Clan sent word asking us to release Ethan. Otherwise, they will start arresting all the Red Dwarves in Demon territory."

Hearing this, Aiden’s pupils trembled slightly.

Ethan was only a level 90 Demon Duke. He should not be that important to the Demon Clan.

Besides, this whole incident was clearly the Demon Clan trying to trick the Red Dwarves into making items for them.

If the Red Dwarves had not known they were being deceived, that would be one thing. But now that they knew the truth, they could not just do nothing and swallow this anger, could they?

There is a saying: the more you give in and try to avoid trouble, the more others will push you around.

"Ha... Aiden, I’m really sorry. In this situation, the Red Dwarves Clan still can’t afford to go to war with the Demon Clan for now. We have to keep at least basic peace," Malcolm said with another sigh.

His face was full of helplessness. As the king of the Red Dwarves, he had far too many things to worry about.

Aiden frowned. If he could kill level 90 Ethan, then maybe he could use the 10,000x critical hit system to get a Mythic Rank item.

Was he really going to let Ethan go just like that?

So far, the strongest enemy he had killed was level 75 Mythic Rank Miko Blaine.

Of course, part of the reason he won that fight was that Divine Golden Sunfla was a perfect counter to Blaine.

Aiden took a deep breath. Then sothing ca to mind, and he asked directly:

"How did the Demon Clan know that the Scarlet Skull Goblet was so important to you?"

If it were not for Fiona and Kora, Aiden would never have known how important the Scarlet Skull Goblet was.

And Fiona was no ordinary Red Dwarves. She was the daughter of the forr Red Dwarves king. As for Kora, she was Fiona’s friend.

It made sense for them to know how important the Scarlet Skull Goblet was. But the Demon Clan? That was definitely suspicious.

When Malcolm heard Aiden’s question, he did not look surprised at all. He just nodded slightly and instinctively reached up to stroke his beard.

"That’s exactly what I was just thinking."

"It should be so Red Dwarves with a certain amount of status and power who leaked the information to the Demon Clan."

"I’ll look into it."

Aiden felt a little helpless. He had wanted to take this chance to kill Ethan.

But now sothing like this had suddenly happened and ruined his plan.

For the Demon Clan to learn so quickly that Ethan had been captured, there must also be traitors among the Red Dwarves.

"Don’t worry, I’ve already sent people to notify the Red Dwarves still in Demon territory. They should be able to leave at once."

"Give a day or two to think of a way. I absolutely will not let Ethan go," Malcolm said seriously.

Killing Ethan by force would carry so risk. But compared to Aiden, who had mastered Divine Golden Sunfla and beco a Mythic Rank Star-Smith, that risk could be ignored.

What Malcolm wanted now was to find the best way to reduce the risk as much as possible, and then hand Ethan over to Aiden.

He gave Aiden the information about the Mythic Rank the Abyss creatures near the Red Dwarves Clan, then turned to leave.

As Aiden watched Malcolm move, he suddenly thought of sothing and slapped his forehead.

"Wait."

"A lot happened yesterday, and I almost forgot to ntion it. Do you have a brother nad Darius?"

The mont those words fell, Malcolm’s eyes widened, and he stared at Aiden.

"How do you know that?"

"Have you t him before? How is he? Is he doing well?" Malcolm’s eyes were full of concern.

Aiden imdiately felt confused.

The mont Darius spoke, he had talked about killing Malcolm, the king of the Red Dwarves.

But Malcolm, as his older brother, spoke with nothing but worry, concern, and a trace of longing that was hard to notice.

Sothing unusual must have happened between these two Red Dwarves brothers.

"He asked to pass on a ssage. He said it won’t be long before he takes your life," Aiden said after a brief pause, still choosing to repeat Darius’s words.

Malcolm’s expression suddenly froze. He stood there in silence for a long ti before lowering his head slightly and saying softly,

"I see."

"My brother... how did he look?"

Aiden then told him everything that had happened when he t Darius yesterday.

Malcolm listened very carefully, his eyes filled with mories. In the end, he muttered softly to himself:

"Truly worthy of being the younger brother who always got praise from our father. You’ve already beco a middle-level Demon God."

As he spoke, his body shrank a little. His muscles seed to deflate, and his fra quickly beca smaller.

"I still have things to do, so I’ll leave first. If you need anything, you can co find anyti," Malcolm said, turning to leave.

Aiden glanced at his back as he left, but did not ask more. Instead, he carefully looked through the materials in his hands.

A few minutes later, Aiden took a deep breath. His face was full of helplessness.

"This is too much of a coincidence. There are only two Mythic Rank the Abyss creatures that et the requirents," he said.

Near the Undercity where the Red Dwarves lived, there were indeed many Mythic Rank the Abyss creatures. But most of them were either too high-level or too hidden to find.

As for the two that t the requirents, one was level 50 , and the other was only level 40 .

According to the information, killing those two Mythic Rank the Abyss creatures would not be a problem at all.

But because their levels were too low, their strength would not be very strong either.

"Forget it. It’s still better than nothing. Killing the Abyss creatures that are too low-level will probably only trigger a hundred-tis critical hit."

"Those materials can at least be used as practice for my forging," Aiden thought.

After becoming a Star-Smith, he had not had ti to start forging yet.

As for using Mythic Rank materials as a starting point—wasn’t that a bit too wasteful?

Aiden did not care about that at all. He had plenty of Mythic Rank materials in his storage space.

A few minutes later, Aiden arrived at the palace entrance and imdiately saw more than a dozen fully ard Red Dwarves soldiers, ready to set out.

One of the Red Dwarves soldiers saw Aiden and quickly whispered to the people around him:

"Quick, the human is here."

A Red Dwarves man in finer armor, holding a large hamr, shouted,

"Mr. Aiden, hello. I’m Marcus, captain of the Iron Anvil Guard Squad."

"His Majesty ordered us to be responsible for your safety during your trip and to give you any help you may need."

The Red Dwarves nad Marcus did not look very old. He had a red, bulbous nose, but his eyes were bright.

Aiden was a little surprised. He had not expected Malcolm to arrange sothing like this.

"Well, I think it would be better if I moved alone," Aiden replied.

As soon as he said that, Marcus frowned without thinking. But the Red Dwarves soldiers behind him all looked much more relaxed.

"Mr. Aiden, there are many dangerous areas near Undercity. If you are not careful, accidents can happen at any ti."

"You helped the Red Dwarves Clan recover the Scarlet Skull Goblet. Protecting you is sothing we should do."

"Besides, if a human moves around in Undercity, it is easy to run into people who show you no respect."

"If that really happens, you won’t need to do anything. We’ll teach those people a lesson for you," Marcus said seriously.

Aiden thought about it for a mont. Since Malcolm, the king of the Red Dwarves, hated humans and Miko, then most of the Red Dwarves in Undercity were probably the sa.

As a ruler, Malcolm’s likes and dislikes could influence many Red Dwarves.

As for why Malcolm hated humans, Aiden was a little curious.

He could ask Marcus about it later when the ti was right.

So Aiden let the Red Dwarves soldiers follow behind him as he walked toward the outside of Undercity.

Pale yellow light slowly shone down from the rock wall above. The streets of Undercity, which had been lively just a mont ago, suddenly beca quiet when people saw Aiden.

Several Red Dwarves were carrying wine flasks, reeking of alcohol, and staring at Aiden in a drunken haze.

But when they saw Marcus and the others, they instinctively pulled back their necks and quickly looked away.

It was clear that Marcus’s squad had strong authority over the ordinary Red Dwarves in Undercity.

When Aiden reached the gate of Undercity, he suddenly stopped.

There was a blockage ahead.

Marcus imdiately stepped forward, ready to check what was going on, when an angry voice suddenly rang out:

"I ca here for help! What I’m saying is true! There really is an old-looking Red Dwarves who is about to die!"
