Aiden’s eyes were filled with anger as he looked at Logan. At that ti, if soone else had been in charge of The White City, the result would have been even worse.
When Aiden entered a war state, he only saw the big picture. His orders were cold and rciless, but it was sothing he had no choice but to do.
He knew that even a little hesitation back then would have caused the survivors of The White City to run away because of the high casualties, and in the end, they would have been killed by the demons and monsters from the Abyss.
"Is it that you don’t hear what I’m saying, or are you just refusing to admit your mistake?" Logan said with a look of confidence. He continued speaking to the other young people at the party.
"You all know that General Jas once publicly praised Victor for having the potential to beco a general."
"If Victor had been in charge of The White City at that ti, more people would have survived."
Logan looked at the silent Aiden, thinking he had hit a nerve. He felt very proud of himself.
A reclasser from a small city, how could he possibly be better than genius Victor?
It was obvious—Victor was right.
Plus, both Logan and Kelsey were from the imperial royal family. Aiden treating Kelsey like that was a direct challenge to the royal dignity.
What did it matter that Aiden had stopped the invasion from the Abyss? Did he really think he was higher in status than a royal relative?

As Logan was thinking this, Aiden finally spoke. His voice was very cold.

"You said all that just to attack . How about this—be direct. Give you a chance to fight . If you lose, you have to kneel in front of the victims of The White City and apologize."

In an instant, Logan’s face turned stiff. He had seen the video that was circulating online. That powerful the Abyss Spider Demon was killed by Aiden.
Logan knew that if he agreed, he would definitely lose.
But he couldn’t just back down easily. Because right now, standing up against Aiden was representing the interests of the the Sovereign City elite.

Logan looked at Victor and said slowly."I just...."
He didn’t finish his sentence. Aiden imdiately waved his hand and cut him off.
"Don’t waste ti. Either admit you’re useless, or accept my challenge."
"Show up at the critical mont to provoke, then act like nothing happened when things get real. It’s really disgusting."
Logan’s face darkened. In the group of young people from the Sovereign City, he was at the top. Except for genius and Kelsey, no one dared to treat him like that.
But now, he couldn’t back down. Accepting a fight with Aiden was not even in his plan.

"Aiden, I warn you—if you attack , the Emperor won’t forgive you!"
Logan never expected that just by saying a few words, Aiden would be so decisive and ready to fight right here.
Aiden held his magic staff and pointed it at Logan. "Either shut up and apologize, or draw your weapon."
At that mont, Victor couldn’t stand it anymore. He stepped between Aiden and Logan.
"Logan’s words were a bit harsh, but he wasn’t completely wrong. When it ca to the invasion of the Abyss, there were better strategies."
"I just feel sorry that more people could have survived."
Aiden looked at Victor. This guy was constantly pushing his limits.
The events in The White City had left a heavy and painful feeling in Aiden’s heart.
He wasn’t a cold stone. After seeing so many dead bodies and such a cruel war, he still felt sadness and pain.
"General, general, kill more enemies for ." The blood-stained thumb reappeared in Aiden’s mind.
His eyes had so red lines, and he spoke slowly and clearly.
"Genius? Mythic Reclasser? Let see your strength. You two can fight together."
The young people at the party were shocked and started to whisper among themselves:
"This Aiden is too arrogant. He actually wants Victor and Logan to fight him together?"
"It’s really over the top. Maybe the title of imperial hero has made him lose his sense of self."
"No, don’t you think what Victor and Logan said was a bit too much?"
"Too much? A Reclasser from a small city, he didn’t even say hello when he saw us. And how could he possibly be as good as Victor in military skills?"

A bunch of comnts ca into Aiden’s ears. He couldn’t help but grip his magic staff a little tighter.
What was the point of the title [Imperial Hero] or the rewards from the Empress? None of it mattered to him.
With the 10,000x Critical Hit system, he didn’t even need to talk about it. He still had over a thousand Epic Demon’s Hearts on him now.

"Enough! What are you all doing?" The voice of Empress Eira suddenly echoed out.
Logan instinctively lowered his head. All the young people at the party bowed to Eira.
"Your Majesty, they just had a small disagreent," soone finally dared to say.
Eira gave a quick glance at Logan, then turned her attention to Victor and softened her expression.
"Speak. What’s going on?"
Before Victor could answer, Kelsey suddenly spoke up.
"Mother, Logan has been using the victims of The White City to anger Aiden."
Aiden couldn’t take it anymore, and that’s why he acted like this. Please don’t punish him."
Kelsey looked worried. She was afraid Aiden would be punished.
Victor shook his head and said slowly."Princess, don’t you think it was too cruel to scatter the survivors into the streets and let them fight to the death?"
"Many people could have lived. But because of that strategy, they died on the battlefield."
"I was just telling Aiden that his tactics weren’t perfect."
Aiden coldly said."Idiot. If you were in charge, no one would survive!"
"You can’t do it, but why is it a problem for others to say it?" Victor replied stubbornly.
Empress Eira looked over at Jas.
Jas looked at Victor and shook his head slightly.
Even he wouldn’t have done better than Aiden in the situation of The White City.
Eira suddenly understood Jas’s aning. She turned to Victor and said in a gentle way.
"Things are already over. Aiden didn’t do anything wrong. The fact that so many people survived in The White City was thanks to him."
Victor didn’t get what Eira ant. He shook his head and said.
"Your Majesty, when I saw those videos online, I always thought, what if those people had survived instead?"
"Aiden’s actions don’t deserve the title of Imperial Hero. He’s too cold and too cruel."

Aiden took a deep breath. Was he supposed to do nothing and let every single person in The White City die, just to not be called cold or cruel?
"Do you think I care about the title of Imperial Hero? Do you think I need the Empire’s rewards?"
"Genius? You’re just a stupid and ignorant guy."
Victor took a deep breath. He was sure there was a better way. He believed that Aiden’s cruel tactics were wrong.
He turned to Jas and said."General Jas, can I borrow the military simulation map from the Ministry of War?"
"This... Victor, maybe not." Jas wasn’t sure if he wanted to hurt the Empire’s genius.
Victor was strong in many ways. Even in military matters, he had so potential.
But Aiden’s decisions were so solid, even Jas, the Empire’s war hero, couldn’t find any flaws.
The simulation map was a special item that could show different battle scenarios. Jas knew what Victor wanted to do — prove himself.
But the truth was, no matter what Victor did, he wouldn’t find a better strategy.
Victor didn’t understand Jas’s aning. He thought Jas was just trying to give Aiden so face.
So he said."General Jas, people can only grow better when they know their mistakes."
"I’m just trying to show Aiden where he’s wrong."
Jas couldn’t help but turn and look at Eira.
Eira thought for a mont, then said."Go ahead. Bring the simulation map here."
Jas nodded. Before leaving, he looked at Victor and let out a soft sigh.
