Chapter 43: Eight Hundred ans Eight Hundred
They always said won were fickle, and sure enough, this was an iron rule sumd up by countless predecessors.
If she didn’t want to show him, then she didn’t want to show him. Why was he in such a hurry?
Did she really think he was so naïve teenager whose heart had just awakened, soone who would blush uncontrollably if she teased him a little? He had received more than ten years of modern education, not to ntion countless teachers online.
And he also had to thank the current short video platforms. Which of the girls on there didn’t look like heavenly fairies? It was only because of the internet’s developnt that soone like him—a broke guy—had the chance to see curvy, scantily dressed young ladies dancing for free.
Now was great. The people got to see first. And coincidentally, he was one of the people.
Simply put, as long as Empress Rushuang didn’t start making physical moves, his “red temperature chanism” stayed stable. When it ca to verbal and visual teasing, young people of this generation still had pretty strong resistance.
After Liu Rushuang lightly patted him a few tis with her jade-like hand, the matter was over.
“Hmph, if you dare tease your big sister again, you’ll be in trouble. Let’s go, I’ll take you back to school.”
After saying that, Liu Rushuang clapped her hands, swayed her hips in mysterious steps, and walked out the door.
Lin Mo only shrugged at this, indicating that he couldn’t afford to provoke this queen of scumbags. After all, this was Liu Rushuang, known as “the eternal night of scumbag ways.”
He glanced around the place he had lived in for a few months and, seeing nothing left behind, placed the key on the coffee table. He then ssaged the landlady, asking her to co take back the apartnt.
He felt no attachnt. Just as he had said, this was only a temporary residence—far less morable than the dormitory where he had lived for three years.
Taking the elevator down, Liu Rushuang’s car was already parked below. He placed his suitcase in the back seat, and the two of them got in.
The car started and rolled out of the community. On the way, he spotted that “wife” on the fourth floor walking inside with a man. He didn’t know whether it was her new husband or a tenant checking the place.
At the gate, Great Emperor He Qiang’s supermarket was open as usual. He Qiang’s wife was taking out the trash, but He Qiang himself wasn’t in sight—perhaps at work, or maybe off fishing.
As the car drove farther away, the community in the rearview mirror grew blurrier. If nothing unexpected happened, he probably would never return.
“What’s wrong, got sentintal about the place?” Liu Rushuang asked with a smile as she drove.
Lin Mo curled his lips. “Not really. Just feels a bit uncomfortable to leave all of a sudden after getting used to it. I’ll be fine once I’m back at school, I’m more familiar there. Right—where’s my Optimus Pri?”
He hadn’t forgotten. Liu Rushuang had run off with his figurine. Now she was here, but Optimus Pri wasn’t.
“You’re still talking about that? That stupid Optimus Pri even had to spread its legs—confiscated, you hear?” The mont Liu Rushuang heard the words “Optimus Pri,” she felt a conditioned reflex.
No helping it. Never in her life had she suffered such social death. Optimus Pri was practically her nesis. She decided she’d deal with it herself, so no one else would have leverage over her.
The two of them kept chatting as the car headed out of the city. About an hour later, the sign for Jiangning University of Science and Technology ca into view.
Liu Rushuang parked casually near the school gate. Seeing the familiar surroundings, Lin Mo instantly felt refreshed. He was back—all the way back.
“We’re here. Not many people at your school, huh?” Liu Rushuang rested one hand on the wheel as she looked out.
“We start on the first. Of course, not many people are here now,” Lin Mo explained.
At that, Liu Rushuang slapped her forehead. “Look at , I forgot you college students even have sumr vacation.”
Lin Mo chuckled as he unbuckled his seatbelt. “Sister Rushuang has already graduated, so naturally you don’t have sumr or winter breaks anymore. It’s normal to forget. Anyway, thank you for driving here, Sister Rushuang. I’m off now.”
He reached for the door handle, but Liu Rushuang grabbed him back.
“Wait a second.”
Lin Mo: ?
“What is it, Sister Rushuang?”
“Give your hand.”
“What for? Don’t tell you’re taking pictures again?” Lin Mo grew wary. The first ti they had t sober, she had used that exact trick.
“Hand out, or don’t regret it later,” Liu Rushuang snapped.
Seeing this, Lin Mo obediently stretched out his hand. The next second, a very exquisite watch was fastened onto his wrist.
“Mmm~ not bad. Didn’t I say this model suited you? Sure enough,” Liu Rushuang said as she held his hand, admiring it with satisfaction.
Lin Mo himself didn’t know much about watches. He had never worn one, always checking the ti with his phone. But judging by its appearance—and considering who Empress Rushuang was—he had the feeling this thing wasn’t cheap.
“This… what’s this?”
“A gift. Think of it as your big sister’s thanks for the secret recipe. How’s that? Isn’t your sister good to you?” Liu Rushuang said with a bright smile.
“You already bought clothes. This isn’t necessary.” Lin Mo tried to remove the watch. Yesterday’s outfit alone had cost tens of thousands.
“Not allowed to take it off. Those were just a few clothes—you looked too shabby, they didn’t match my watch. Besides, if I only gave clothes, do you think your sister is soone who just takes advantage?
“Even that girl Yuan ng gave you a hundred thousand. You think your sister is any less? If you get good stuff again, rember to think of . Got it?” Liu Rushuang’s tone left no room for doubt.
She didn’t know where Lin Mo’s things ca from, but they worked. If she could get them once, she could get them again. Better establish a good relationship early.
“Co on, make a heart with for a commorative photo.” She pulled out her phone, holding up half a heart, signaling for him to complete it.
Lin Mo had no choice. With a sigh, he raised his hand to make half a heart. But in the next second, a few red banknotes were stuffed into his palm.
With a “click,” Liu Rushuang bead with satisfaction. “Alright, you can go now!”
“Ah? This…” Lin Mo stared blankly at the bills in his hand.
“What, not enough? Eight hundred isn’t money? A pretty boy model like you is worth eight hundred at most. Your sister didn’t play for free!”
As she spoke, Liu Rushuang deliberately rolled down the window on his side and raised her voice.
Lin Mo: …
He didn’t need to think—this was absolutely one of Empress Rushuang’s pranks. Too evil!
“What are you looking at? Get out already!”
With that, Liu Rushuang shoved him out of the car, floored the gas, and sped away.
“I… damn it, I’ve beco the one who got paid for it!”
Lin Mo froze for a long ti, clutching the bills before suddenly realizing: she had tricked him. She was ssing with him!
If he guessed right, that little scene had definitely been recorded by Liu Rushuang. Wouldn’t she hold this over him forever?
Just as he was thinking this, Liu Rushuang’s car suddenly backed up. She jumped out in a hurry, opened the door, and dumped his suitcase and laptop bag out. Then she shoved a watch box into his hands, got back in, and drove off again without looking back.
No denying it—the cool factor was utterly ruined.
It all happened so fast that Lin Mo couldn’t even react.
After a long while, he finally gritted his teeth and said:
“Eight hundred then! I’ll get you back! Whoever chickens out is the grandson!”
