He walked around campus, searching for his target, and it didn’t take him long to spot her. She wasn’t alone, though—there was a stunning blonde girl sitting beside her—but that didn’t matter.

"No, you can sit there if you want," she replied, before turning her attention back to the book in front of her. The other girl beside her, equally attractive, didn’t even spare him a glance.
He had expected the typical reaction—girls throwing themselves at him, eager to engage—but instead, he was t with indifference. For a mont, it threw him off guard.

She hadn’t even acknowledged him beyond the initial exchange. Disappointnt settled in. He had expected so sort of reaction by now, but instead, he was being completely ignored.
He waited for five more minutes, but the silence was unbearable. Every second felt like an eternity, and he could feel the tension building in his chest.
His eyes kept flicking between the two girls, watching them imrse themselves in their books, unaware of his growing frustration.
Finally, unable to take it anymore, he looked up and broke the silence.
"Hi," he said, his voice smooth and tinged without the slightest hint of impatience.
Sophia glanced up, a look of mild surprise flashing across her face before she raised an eyebrow, questioning his sudden attention.
"I don’t know how to say this, and I don’t an to be creepy, but I just think you’re absolutely beautiful," Derek said, his tone casual but sincere. He flashed a confident smile and extended his hand in a smooth motion.
"I’m Derek, by the way."
