The next day, excitent filled the air as everyone prepared for the trip.

"Is everyone ready?" Ross asked, his voice carrying over the chatter and bustling activity. The group was heading to Los Angeles, and the bags and suitcases were already packed and waiting by the door.

"Yes, we are!" the girls cheered in unison, their enthusiasm infectious.

As they gathered their belongings, Imari turned to Ross with a curious expression.

"Ross, if we’re going to L.A. to ask Althea’s parents for her hand, does that an you’ll also go to Japan to do the sa for mine?" she asked, her tone laced with both excitent and hope.

Everyone in the group knew that Imari was destined to be one of Ross’s many wives, and her question only underscored the depth of her feelings for him.

Ross paused, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.

"That… hmm… I honestly hadn’t thought about it," he admitted with a sheepish smile.

"But probably, yes. Your parents deserve my respect and gratitude. After all, they raised an incredible woman who’s now part of my life." He nodded firmly, as if solidifying the decision in his mind.

Imari’s face lit up with pure joy.

"Yes! I knew you were the best, Ross!" she exclaid, leaping into his arms. She peppered his face with kisses, her happiness radiating throughout the room.

The rest of the harem exchanged knowing looks. While they admired Imari’s boldness, they couldn’t help but feel a flicker of rivalry spark within them.

Still, their concerns were short-lived; Ross had always been a fair and considerate man, ensuring that each of them felt cherished in their own way.

As the realization dawned that Ross intended to show the sa respect to their families, their spirits lifted.

It was yet another testant to the kind of man he was—soone who valued the connections that shaped the won he loved.

With their excitent renewed, the group headed to the airport without further delay, laughter and lighthearted banter filling the space as they embarked on their journey together.

An hour later, they were all seated comfortably aboard Ross’s private plane. The luxurious interior was filled with laughter and music as everyone settled in.

The entire group was present—Gwen, Reina, Mari, and the rest of Ross’s thirteen harem mbers.

The atmosphere was lively, with food and drinks being passed around while a few of the won danced near the open lounge area.

Ross, however, remained silent. Seated near the window, his gaze was fixed on the bustling airport below, his expression unreadable. It was as though he were waiting—or searching—for soone.

At the sa ti, Iris Davies rushed out of the terminal, scanning for a taxi. Her heels clicked against the pavent in a hurried rhythm, her thoughts a chaotic blur.

Suddenly, a large, imposing man stepped into her path, blocking her way to the curb.

"Iris Davies?" the man asked, his deep voice commanding attention.

"My master, Ross Oakley, sent here to find you. He said you’d be looking for him."

Iris froze, her breath catching in her throat.

"How… how did he know I’d be here? That’s… I…" Her voice faltered, and her eyes widened in disbelief.

The hulking man gave a slight, almost knowing smile.

"My master knows everything, ma’am. There’s nothing unusual about that. Now, if you’d please follow . Another flight has been arranged for you."

Iris hesitated, her mind racing with questions, but she realized she had little choice. The man’s unwavering stance left no room for argunt.

Taking a deep breath, she nodded and followed him, curiosity and nervous anticipation swirling within her.

A few minutes later, Iris found herself sitting face-to-face with Ross in the private room of his luxurious jet.

The atmosphere was tense, her hands clenched into fists on her lap as she tried to contain her emotions.

"You did this to him, didn’t you?!" Iris accused, her voice barely concealing the simring rage beneath it.

She struggled to keep her tone low, though the confined space of the jet made it feel like her words echoed off the walls.

Ross leaned back in his chair, his expression calm and unbothered.

"If you’re talking about your husband’s stroke and coma, no, I didn’t do that," he replied with a shrug.

"Your husband brought that upon himself. He was prying into things that didn’t concern him, and his obsession led to his inevitable downfall. It’s a consequence of his own folly."

Ross’s tone was matter-of-fact, but his words struck Iris like a hamr. She opened her mouth to retort but stopped, the weight of his explanation sinking in.

Unbeknownst to her, Ross had picked up on Karl Davies’s activities through his divine sense.

The man had been digging into Derek’s purpose for coming to Parkland City, an investigation that had led him too close to secrets he wasn’t ant to uncover.

It was during one of these monts that Ross had paused his ti with Imari, brushing off the interruption as nothing more than a mosquito bite while dealing with more pressing matters.

If he had been more cruel, he could have easily killed Karl Davies but that would give him nothing in return.

Him living gave Ross exactly what he wanted. It brought Iris back to his doors.

Iris’s composure cracked. Her voice trembled as she pleaded,

"So, you’re admitting you were involved, even if indirectly. Please… bring him back! I’ll do anything—just make him okay again." Tears stread down her face as she broke down, the image of her comatose husband haunting her.

Ross watched her silently for a mont, letting her cry until the intensity of her sobs subsided. His gaze softened, but his tone remained steady.

"I can make him recover," he said, "and not just that—stronger than before. But…" He leaned forward, a slight smile playing on his lips. "You said you’d do anything, didn’t you?"

Sothing in his smile made Iris uneasy. Her instincts scread at her to tread carefully, but her love for her husband drowned out the warnings. She nodded, desperation written all over her face.

"Then it’s settled," Ross said, his voice as smooth as silk but as sharp as a blade.

"Divorce him. Leave him behind. And be my wife instead. If you do that, I’ll fulfill my end of the bargain."

The room fell into a suffocating silence as Iris stared at him, her mind spiraling with thoughts.

Could she really make such a sacrifice?

Her heart ached, torn between loyalty to her husband and the impossible choice laid before her.

Ross remained patient, watching her wrestle with the decision. He knew she would have to co to terms with it herself.

After what felt like an eternity, Iris finally drew a shaky breath and gave her answer.
