Grace's vision was growing hazy, and she wasn't sure if she could keep going without running the risk of making a dangerous mistake.

She spotted a small convenience store up ahead, the neon lights flickering weakly in the darkness. The parking lot was nearly empty, save for a few scattered cars.

With little thought, Grace pulled in and parked the car, her hands still shaking as she killed the engine.

For several monts, she just sat there, her body slumped in the driver's seat, eyes staring blankly out the windshield. She didn't have the energy to move, to do anything.

She was so exhausted, so utterly drained from the emotional turmoil that had consud her.

Grace didn't know how long she had been sitting there. Ti had lost all aning. Every minute felt like an eternity. The tears had slowed, but the ache in her chest never seed to fade.

Her thoughts were tangled, conflicted. She knew she should reach out to soone, but who could she turn to? Who could possibly understand what she was going through?

Ted, who had betrayed her? Ross, whose betrayal had pushed her further into this ss? She couldn't trust either of them, and yet, they both haunted her thoughts.

Her phone rang, and for a mont, she thought she could ignore it. But when she saw the na flashing on the screen, her stomach turned. It was Ted.

Without thinking, she pressed the button to reject the call. But then, just as quickly, the phone rang again. And again. And again.

Each ring felt like a stab to her heart. She couldn't answer him. Not now. Not with the way he had hurt her. Not when she had nothing left to say.

She pressed the button to silence the phone and tossed it onto the passenger seat.

But even in the silence that followed, she couldn't escape the feeling of emptiness.

The loneliness weighed heavily on her chest, and for the first ti in her life, Grace truly felt like she was completely alone in the world.

She sat there, eyes closed, allowing herself a few monts to cry in peace. The tears flowed freely as her heart shattered into a thousand pieces.

She had given so much to her marriage, to Ted, and now all of it seed to be for nothing.

There was no going back. No undoing the damage of what he did and what she sacrificed in consequence of his love for money.

Just when she thought she couldn't take it anymore, a soft knock on her window broke through the fog of her despair. Her head snapped up, startled by the sudden sound.

She blinked, her eyes still blurry from crying, and looked out the window.

There, standing in the dim light of the parking lot, was a man. She didn't need to look closely to know who it was. He was tall, broad-shouldered, his posture confident and strong.

His face was familiar, though mysterious in its own right. The man had always had a way of showing up when least expected, like he was always watching, always waiting.

Her heart skipped a beat, and a strange sense of calm washed over her. For reasons she couldn't explain, the presence of this man seed to pull her from the darkness, even if just for a mont.

She hadn't expected to see him, not now, not when she was at her lowest, but sohow, it felt like fate had led her here.

As their eyes t, she felt a small smile tug at her lips. It wasn't a smile of happiness, but a recognition—like the universe had dropped a sign in front of her.

And for once, it didn't feel like everything was falling apart. There was sothing about him, sothing both comforting and unsettling, that made her feel a little less alone.

She rolled down the window, her hands shaking slightly, but this ti it wasn't from fear.

It was from sothing else—an unspoken connection, perhaps, or the simple fact that she wasn't as alone as she thought.

The man smirked slightly, his voice low and smooth.

"Fancy seeing you here," he said, his words carrying an air of both intrigue and amusent.

His tone was casual, almost as if he had been expecting this mont, as if this was all part of so plan neither of them fully understood.

Grace blinked at him, still sowhat in shock, but there was a spark of curiosity in her eyes.

"What are you doing here?" she whispered, her voice hoarse from the tears, yet sohow still strong.

He didn't answer right away. Instead, he just watched her, his gaze intense yet reassuring, and for so reason, she felt a little better just by his presence.

"I think I could ask you the sa question," he replied, leaning casually against the car door.

He studied her for a mont, his expression unreadable, but there was sothing about the way he looked at her that made her feel like she wasn't invisible anymore.

In that fleeting mont, with the weight of her world still pressing down on her, Grace allowed herself to be drawn into the mystery of this man.

Maybe he didn't have all the answers, maybe he couldn't fix everything, but for the first ti tonight, she felt like there might be sothing to hold on to.

Still, she couldn't shake the doubt creeping into her mind.

Grace had spent enough ti with Ross to know one thing—he never acted on impulse. Every move he made was calculated, deliberate.

It was as if he could see the future, predicting outcos with an almost supernatural precision.

She had witnessed it ti and ti again, and yet, she still found herself questioning whether this was all just so incredible luck or if he had orchestrated everything from the very beginning.

Her grip tightened on the steering wheel as she turned to face him, searching his expression for any hint of deception.

"Ross… tell . Please be honest with ," she said, her voice laced with uncertainty. "You planned this, didn't you? You knew this would happen."
