[Hm!]
Clentine sounded surprised, as she could feel that he wasn’t trying to dodge her question or anything but was genuinely confused and had no answer to her questions at all.
[You don’t know anything about your own abilities, calamity!?] She questioned back just to make sure she didn’t feel anything wrong. Her voice like a sharp needle pricking at the balloon of his ignorance.
[If so, can you also share with why that is the case, and you don’t have to worry about anything since our souls are literally connected with each other currently!...
Well, yeah! Its more than a connection, but you get what I an correct. There is no way that I would harm you in this state when even I don’t know what has happened to or what you have done. When I don’t know if there is even any way to undo this unwanted bond or not!]
"No. I do not. In fact, you are the first subject I had used them on!" He exhaled and answered truthfully. His sigh like a heavy stone dropping into a bottomless well.
Further continuing and informing her about who he was, how old he was, along with how and why he ended up at this clearing where her consciousness rested.
There was really no reason to doubt her anymore, since as she said, their souls were closely connected with one another in a deeper manner than both of them understood. On top of that, through this connection, he could also feel and sense her emotions.
So he also knew that Clentine wasn’t lying one bit, as if she had done so, he would have known it imdiately.
[Now that you ntion it, it certainly is strange for an intelligent calamity to be born so weak, when usually their ascension rank is quite high from birth; there is a reason why they are feared so much. Well, not much fear per say but yeah, they certainly are strong, much stronger than your average ascendant out there, because of the harsh and unforgiving environnt of this realm. Anyhow, let do a quick check of your body.]
Clentine voiced from inside his soul and used her senses to check over his body, which wasn’t much hard to do when there wasn’t much resistance from his body either!
Understandable, considering she was literally staying inside his soul sea right now!
[My! Looks like after forming a contract with , both your have ranked up to the next ascension rank; truly sothing, I’m impressed. I’d say there are probably none who can achieve such a feat within just a single day of their birth... although the price for such an achievent was the pain you suffered previously! Fufufu~]
Her laughter was a light breeze dancing over a field of thorns.
His lips twitched on hearing her words.
"Tsk. Quit acting like a fascinated girl, woman. I’m not your toy, do rember that! Now, tell is there anything else important you found. Do you know why I was attracted to you or why sothing was preventing from eting you?!"
His command was the strike of a flint against cold steel.
[Ooh!...]
[Already ordering around, truly fearless, but I guess I will tolerate it for the ti being. At least until I get all the answers I need from you to make my ultimate decision.] Clentine sounded amused. Already not thinking much of what she did yesterday.
[That being said, aside from your material and spiritual ascension core ranks, your is also of the lowest tier, core tier one: Normal core or as others say it; a Natural core.]
"Core Tier!?" The question escaped him like a bird fleeing a cage.
[Mmm... we will discuss that later.]
Clentine dismissed his inquiry, continuing further...
[Your bloodline rank is the highest rank, but again, the most important factor when looking at one’s bloodline, which is , it is of the lowest tier here too, aning you are a weak [Tier one Pureblood Calamity], not the dangerous Tier two: Void or Tier three: Infernal Void Calamity.]
[However, this really bugs the wrong way, since considering your birthplace, it wasn’t far from here, and I know that I buried more than 1000 rank ten Divine Entities here, aning the energy from them should’ve been more than enough to birth a truly monstrous calamity here, not a weak pureblood calamity like you.]
Clentine didn’t want to insult her master, but simply stated the facts as they were. She really was confused here, but insults were insults. It was good though that he was capable of sensing her emotions, so he knew that she did not an it the wrong way and had uttered matters as she saw them.
[Or it can be that this ’monstrous calamity’ is still undergoing its process of creation currently, perhaps sowhere near this place, or maybe it has already been birthed and has left the area. Or... SIGH!...]
She sighed in his head. Her sigh like a long shadow stretching across his mind.
[There are so many possibilities I can think of and so many assumptions I can make, but all of this doesn’t really matter; it is of no use to us anyways, not now at least!]
Even though he couldn’t see Clentine, he could still perfectly picture her shaking her head in his soul sea when she uttered the previous sentence.
"So what now!? Will you tell what and are?" He questioned. As he was still curious about the information he acquired during this small conversation. His curiosity burned like a small, stubborn fla in the dark.
[You said that it was one of your abilities that brought you to , correct?]
Clentine questioned, not diverging from the topic. He also didn’t think much of it and answered right away. He had ti to learn things slowly, so there was no need to rush anyways.
"Indeed."
[Alright, we will ponder about whys and whats and your other questions later. In fact, I’ll answer all your questions later on, anything you are curious about just ask them away at that ti...] Clentine voiced.
[...but for now I want you to sit down, close your eyes, take a deep breath, and start organizing all the information you have in your head, information that you got at the monts after your birth, afterwards you go through them, understand them if you can and then inform about it, describe it to , about what you understood and what you did not. I want to know everything.]
She stated. Further adding.
[Let’s solve the mystery behind you together. In fact, I don’t even care about this forceful contract anymore, I just.. I’m just so eager to know if you really are the calamity born from the residual energy of the many ascension rank 10 that fell through my hands here. If you truly are the one, then I do wonder the kind of potential you carry within your blood and soul, since even I have fallen here in this unknown place. The entity capable of slaughtering thousands!]
Her excitent was a rising tide, threatening to sweep away her logic.
SIGH!
[I never thought that I would feel such excitent even in death! Such a peculiar sensation.]
"That...!" He blinked in speechlessness. "That was a long speech. A lot of information but anyways, I’ll do as you said, contracted woman."
He answered with a shake of his head. His voice like a steady anchor in the swirling currents of her enthusiasm.
Although he had many things he was still curious about, such as her past, why she had such deep hatred and vengeful emotions—deep enough to serve as fuel for her Will (consciousness) to remain alive even after death for who knows how many unknown years, deep enough that even the deterioration of ti couldn’t quell that wrath—alas, everything had an order and would happen in due ti.
