Liora returned to her room.
With a gentle sweep of her hands, the Bloodline Seeds floated above one of her palms while the Knight Technique of the Lavender family rested on top of the other.
Secretly, she was considering her next plans. Or more accurately, about the next course of her training.
"I can almost be certain that there is sothing wrong with the Bloodline Seeds. Of course, even if there was nothing wrong, I would never be willing to accommodate the blood of an unknown being into my body."
Her encounter with the mysterious blood had already let her witness the power that certain beings possessed.
Still, Liora was unwilling to stop her Knight practice here.
Although she had stayed in this world for so ti and had experienced many events, this didn’t an that she would be able to stay here forever.
Sooner or later, she would have to return to the Demon World. And, once there, she would be facing a dire situation.
Liora had not forgotten that she didn’t co to this world out of her own accord, but was forced by the circumstances.
Once she left this world of Knights, she would be returning to that strange valley filled with powerful Fire Elentals.
In fact, it was very likely that the Fire Elental that she had seen before her descent was still waiting for her return, in the spot where she had activated the World-Descending Array.
"So, if I want to fight back, I have to enhance my strength and combat power before returning. At the very least, I should possess the combat power to escape from the clutches of a True Devil."
Initially, Liora believed that she would be able to achieve this through reaching the apex of the Knight power system.
Now that she had discovered that there may be sothing wrong with the King of Knights rank, it was inevitable that she felt disappointed. It was as if all her efforts were aningless.
But soon, Liora suppressed that disappointnt.
She shook her head.
"Although there is sothing wrong with the Bloodline Seed, it’s not certain that there is a problem with the King of Knights rank itself."
"Perhaps, I can find a way to advance further without the need to accommodate a Bloodline Seed."
With that in mind, Liora waved her hand and the Bloodline Seeds vanished, stored inside the demi-plane of the Space Orb.
In their place, a single drop of purple-hued blood appeared. It was the blood of the Lavender family that she had obtained during her fight with the Marquis, collected exactly for this mont.
"The Nightreaver Knight Technique can only support to reach the Great Knight rank. Although I can learn the Knight skills in it and improve my combat power, it can not help advance any further."
"Fortunately, I obtained the Lavender Technique just in ti.", Liora whispered.
Then, without any hesitation, she gently placed the purple drop of blood on her chest.
Her skin instantly parted, revealing the white bones hidden beneath it. But the next mont, a mouth made of blood erged from within the opening.
It pounced on the Lavender family’s blood like a hungry beast and devoured it in one bite before turning back.
Her skin quickly recovered, healing in an instant.
At the sa ti, Liora sensed that the structure of her blood was rapidly changing, just like it had transford when she first obtained the blood of the Black Tulip family.
The Myriad Devils Body’s effect—Supre Adaptation—activated on its own, adjusting her physical structure.
A few seconds later, the changes were finally over. Liora had obtained another Knight bloodline, the bloodline of the Lavender family.
Looking within her, she noticed that her Life Seed had changed in appearance.
It was originally dark green with a tinge of black—caused by the practice of the Nightreaver Technique—but it had now also gained a deep purple hue. The three colors coexisted, one seemingly supporting another.
Seeing this, Liora’s mind moved.
Under her command, Life Force poured out of the Life Seed and flowed towards her arms.
When it reached her torso, though, the Life Force suddenly split into two different streams, one purple and one black.
As a result, her right hand was covered in a thin purple film, while the left hand was covered in a black one.
Liora nodded her head.
"Just as I expected. Unlike other people, who are only able to practice a single Knight Technique, my situation is different."
"Supre Adaptation allows to practice many different Knight Techniques at the sa ti, gaining the effects of them all. Though it remains to be seen if this ability has a certain limit."
But for now, this was more than enough for Liora.
With a move of her mind, the purple Life Force transford into a sword before it shot out, as if it possessed a will of its own.
It imdiately teleported before the closest wall and tilted to the side, looking ready to strike at it.
But just when it seed that the room would be destroyed, Liora relinquished her control over the sword.
The next mont, the purple sword turned back into pure Life Force before dissipating as if it had never existed.
Still, although the purple sword didn’t strike at the wall and the skill was interrupted, the skill that Liora had perford was fairly obvious.
If Marquis Lavender were here, he would have imdiately recognized it as Purple Sky Slash—the skill passed down by his ancestors, contained in the Lavender Technique.
Clearly, the blood of the Lavender family had not only changed Liora’s Life Seed but had allowed her to use the technique’s accompanying skills.
"This is enough for . Even if I fail to beco a King of Knights, the concurrent practice of many Knight Techniques can help enhance my combat power. With the practice of enough techniques, my combat power should undergo a qualitative transformation."
"If ten techniques are not enough to achieve this, then one hundred! If one hundred is still not enough, then one thousand!"
"By that point, I should have regained my full strength. I don’t believe that a Lesser Devil with countless skills will fail to contend with a True Devil!"
