Liora’s actions were extrely quick. Her transformation started and ended in less than a second.
Thus, the claws of the Founding Emperor had yet to land on her.
But once the attack arrived, its impact was earth-shattering.
Facing the impenetrable wall made of darkness and shadows, the carapace-covered claws easily pierced through it as if it were paper.
They then continued, striking at the Spear of the Blighted Sun.
Liora’s right arm shook. The entire spear trembled violently from its end to the tip before it shattered into pieces.
The next mont, a powerful force struck her abdon.
Her blood went out of control, raging inside of her, as her body was knocked back.
It was only after flying for a few hundred ters that she finally ca to a stop and was able to regain her footing.
But although sharp pain assaulted her senses and her mind turned dizzy, Liora was not afraid.
A slight smile appeared on her face as she lowered her head and saw that her abdon had hardly been injured.
Only the armor covering her skin showed so faint cracks, but it was recovering at a rapid speed.
"Sure enough, a powerful defense is still the best way to remain alive. My initial decision was not wrong.", she whispered, but now was not the ti to think about this.
The Founding Emperor was still there, ready to strike once again.
Seeing this, Liora did not hesitate. Feeling the suppression of her strength, a cruel look flashed across her face.
Then, she lowered her right hand and thrust it into her own abdon.
Due to her taking the initiative, the defenses of the Myriad Devils Body and the armor were rendered ineffective.
Her hand easily penetrated the armor and tore through her skin, reaching into her abdon as if she were performing a surgery on herself.
Her face turned pale as a soul-tearing pain assaulted her mind. But she gritted her teeth and persevered.
She dug even deeper, only stopping her actions when she had found what she was looking for.
The next mont, she pulled her now bloody hand out and revealed it to the outside world.
Compared to before, she was now holding onto sothing.
It was a seed-like object, whose surface was covered in many beautiful colors, as if it were the most precious item in the world.
But Liora knew very well that this was her own Life Seed.
Casting a glance at this thing, which had been her biggest gain in this world so far, a rare look of reluctance flashed across her face.
But it quickly disappeared, replaced by determination.
The next mont, her fingers tightened and clutched the Life Seed, shattering it into pieces.
Since it was the materialization of her achievents as a Knight, Liora was imdiately impacted.
Her aura fluctuated, and her strength beca weaker.
At the sa ti, a faint disconnect appeared between her and this world, as if it were trying to exclude her and send her away.
"If this had happened before, I would have indeed been forced to return to the Demon World. Fortunately, I’ve now regained my strength and can fight against it.", Liora muttered.
A relieved smile appeared on her face. She didn’t feel any sadness at having had her strength decrease, and her hard work go to ruin.
If anything, she was truly happy.
The fact that the suppression of her power had vanished was evidence that her idea was correct.
Though she had not beco a King of Knights and had not integrated a Bloodline Seed, the Founding Emperor still possessed control over her power.
It was only now, with the destruction of the Life Seed, that this control had disappeared.
Liora’s self-torture thod sounded as if it had taken a long ti, but it only took a brief mont from start to finish.
By the ti her Life Seed was shattered, the Founding Emperor was just beginning to launch his next attack.
Liora imdiately discovered that the next blow was not physical. The Founding Emperor remained still, standing far away from her.
But this didn’t an that he had given up attacking her.
The mont the self-inflicted injury on her abdon recovered, Liora heard countless overlapping buzzing noises.
The next second, the world around her began to change.
The rubble caused by the previous battle, the green grass, and other inanimate objects throughout the city seed to be affected by an unknown, invisible power.
Before long, they had all changed shape, transforming into all kinds of disgusting insects.
Ants, flies, bees, mosquitoes...
They all buzzed in unison like a war cry, before rushing towards Liora as if they were a swarm of locusts.
Watching hundreds of thousands of disgusting-looking creatures co towards you was terrifying. Especially when one took into account the loud, almost deliberate buzzing and the sound of flapping wings.
Fortunately, Liora was hardly affected by this sight. Although she was inwardly disgusted, this didn’t halt her movents.
Another Spear of the Blighted Sun appeared in her hands, and she waved it around her in a fan shape, in all directions.
The demonic flas revolving around the spear surged.
They flew out and spread like wildfire, creating a scene of Hell with her at the center.
Banging noises echoed one after another.
Caught in flas, the insects sizzled before they exploded, causing the sll of burned flesh to perate throughout the capital.
Watching the insects dying, Liora did not stay still. She understood that, at the mont, she could not count on anyone but herself.
In fact, Duke Dandelion had at so point slipped away under her instructions, planning to help the Beast Emperor deal with the Pope.
Thus, she had to take the initiative in the battle.
With a thought, the shadows beneath her feet grew, and they pushed her upwards, as the crackling fire along her trajectory parted.
In the blink of an eye, she had flown out of the sea of demonic flas and landed before the Founding Emperor.
