"Due to the ti constraints, I was unable to hold back before, and the True Devil’s soul ended up being assimilated by the Nothingness."
"Thankfully, these people arrived just in ti. Otherwise, I would have to go out and search for them.", she thought silently, as she let the System devour the soul and convert it into Evolution Points.
But as it did, sothing strange occurred.
So illusory images erged in her mind, all related to the life of this Fire Elental.
They were all from a first-person perspective, making her feel as if she had personally experienced them.
Liora was not surprised.
The ability to acquire part of the target’s mories when devouring a soul was sothing that all True Devils possessed, and the System seed to have integrated it into its functions.
Thus, she could now devour souls and obtain so of their mories.
Although the amount of information she obtained was dependent on the strength of her target and her own, this ability was extraordinary.
As she pieced together the several illusory images flashing within her mind, Liora obtained a better understanding of the valley she was in.
Although she failed to get all of the Fire Elental’s mories, the information she got was still more than enough to help her understand her current situation.
Once it did, her expression changed.
"Getting out of this valley is far more troubleso than I thought..."
As she went through the Fire Elental’s mories, Liora’s understanding of this place increased.
Or rather, she gained a deeper and far more intricate understanding.
Just like she had initially believed, this place—referred to by natives as Sacred Lands and by outsiders as Inferno Valley—was one of this Layer’s most important nodes, an area rich in fire elents.
Because of this and several other coincidences, many Fire Elentals had ended up being born here, with their individual strength ranging from weak to strong.
From Young Devils, all the way up to Greater Devils.
Or at the very least, this was the case according to the Fire Elental’s understanding.
In Liora’s opinion, it was very likely that stronger beings existed in the Inferno Valley. For example, Archdevils.
Although she had beco a True Devil and her strength had increased significantly, Liora lacked the confidence to deal with such a creature at the mont.
However, this was not what made her expression so solemn. Rather, it was another piece of crucial information.
"Although entry into the Inferno Valley is allowed and basically every creature can step into the valley, the sa cannot be said for exiting it."
"According to the Fire Elental’s mories, the entire valley is encased in a gigantic, naturally-ford array."
"Acting as if it were a cage, the array locks every being within the valley and prevents them from leaving. In order to get out, a person has to possess one of the so-called Inferno Items."
Inferno Item—this was the term used to describe the objects that could allow people to leave.
The identity of these items was not constant, with so of them being weapons, others elental objects, and so simply being scraps of tal.
No one knew the reason why those items possessed this strange characteristic. But no matter what, it was a fact that these items could act as keys to unlock the otherwise indestructible trapping array.
If one wished to leave the valley and enter the Demon World, they first had to find one of them.
If that were all, the situation would already be fairly bad.
But according to the information she had obtained, Liora understood that Inferno Items were extrely rare.
In the Lesser Devil Fire Elental’s entire life, it had only glimpsed one of them from afar before it was then collected by the stronger Fire Elentals.
Recalling this information, Liora’s disguised face grew increasingly stern.
A few seconds passed as the remains of the battlefield were shrouded in silence.
The Fire Elentals in front of Liora could only keep silent, afraid that any sudden action would anger her. On the other hand, she was deep in thought.
In the end, it was only a few seconds later that Liora broke the silence.
She shook her head lightly before she opened her mouth and spoke:
"Okay. That’s it. Return to your positions and continue searching for that invader. Act as if nothing happened.", she commanded coldly and motioned them to leave.
The Fire Elentals did not dare to mind her tone. They didn’t stay here to complain but instead moved.
As if they had received amnesty, they hurriedly turned around and rushed away as quickly as they could.
They all used their ans to increase their speed and soon disappeared into the horizon.
"I didn’t expect that my arrival in the valley would have brought such great changes. Although almost a year has passed, the Fire Elentals have still been ordered to search for my existence and use all their ans to capture ."
"This is not the order of a re True Devil, but cos straight from the leaders among the race."
The Fire Elental she killed was low in status and thus did not know the reason why they were so keen on searching for Liora.
Although the being she had transford into might have known sothing, it was already too late.
Because of the small window of opportunity, she had decisively chosen to wipe out its soul, afraid that it would summon reinforcents.
Therefore, Liora had no way of devouring its soul and obtaining its mories.
Still, she shook her head.
"The reason why they are targeting ultimately does not matter."
"At this mont, my main focus should be on finding an Inferno Item and leaving this place. Only then can I enter the real Demon World, interact with other Devils, and integrate into this ’new’ world."
With that in mind, Liora considered her options one after another.
Her first idea was to try to visit one of the Fire Elental’s many cities.
After all, as creatures that possessed intelligence and had a sense of kinship, these beings had developed their own civilization.
Liora believed that there was a high chance of finding an Inferno Item if she were to go through all their cities, where most of the Fire Elentals gathered.
