The strength of the corpse had only increased further upon rging with the mysterious blood.
But similarly, the power of the Duke had also increased.
His Fire Elental characteristics grew even more prominent while the elents around him surged, as if he had turned into the God of Fire.
In Liora’s opinion, the two creatures should be evenly matched.
Even if one had a slight advantage, the battle between the two of them was bound to last for a long ti.
However, the mont the two creatures collided again, she understood that her judgnt had been wrong.
As the left arm of the corpse struck the Duke, the fire elents surrounding him instantly dispersed.
They made way, as if they were eting a higher-level power, allowing it to strike directly at his body.
Similar to the elents, the Duke’s wooden body was unable to give him any protection.
It instantly shattered, crumbling into wooden pieces as the bloody left arm dug deep into his torso.
Following the clenching of its muscles, a thunderous bang echoed in the demi-plane.
A sound that Liora had heard many tis before, each ti she absorbed a Fire Elental core, was heard, before the body of the Duke collapsed.
His body was destroyed once and for all, as if the Indestructible Matter that had previously troubled Liora had been rendered invalid.
The Duke’s soul appeared in the outside world.
It was still surrounded by flas.
But most importantly, unlike any other soul that Liora had seen before, his soul still retained so traces of intelligence.
Unfortunately, this did not result in a different outco from those of the beings before him.
The Archdevil corpse reached down and scooped it up like a child grabbing its toy, before tossing it into its mouth and chewing loudly.
The bone-crashing noise jolted Liora awake. She stared at the moving corpse and couldn’t help but curse inwardly.
Was Duke Bloodflower so useless?
Why did he die in an instant and leave her with such a ss?
He had been so arrogant before. Yet, even after undergoing several transformations, he still died instantly under the corpse’s attack!
This guy was the sha of Greater Devils!
As for her own involvent in the situation? Liora completely ignored it and denied that it had anything to do with her.
She believed it was none of her fault. It was Duke Bloodflower who was simply too weak and useless.
The halt of the chewing noise forced Liora to push those thoughts aside and turn her attention back to reality.
When she recovered, she discovered that the Archdevil corpse had finished devouring the Duke and had appeared in another place.
In its palm, a square-shaped token was floating silently, resonating with itself.
Just when it seed that the corpse was fully engrossed in the Four Elents Token and had no ti to pay attention to her, however, it suddenly turned its head.
Its eyes t Liora’s in the air, and she instantly noticed that each of those eyes possessed three distinct pupils. Within every pupil was a different face, each with a different emotion.
Liora didn’t have the ti to take a deeper look at this creature. Before it could attack her, she had already moved.
With a raise of her hand, she slamd it onto her head, attaching the power of Nothingness in her blow.
In an instant, her body was destroyed, extinguished down to its final particle. Only a small orb remained in her original location, which seeped into the ground and soon disappeared.
The Archdevil corpse paid no heed to this. It didn’t chase after the orb, seemingly not very interested in it.
Turning its head back to the token in its hand, it paused for a brief mont as several different emotions flickering in its eyes. In the end, fury and hatred overpowered the others.
The next mont, it lifted its head and roared at the sky.
The demi-plane began to tremble. Unlike the previous tis, when it had recovered soon after, it now began to shatter.
The space itself was ripped to shreds, and the earth below disappeared, as the demi-plane collapsed.
The destruction didn’t stop there, though.
Its roar reverberated throughout the Hollow, shattering that as well.
One mont, the Archdevil corpse stood in the small demi-plane, and the next, it had appeared in the Demon World.
The mont it exited the Hollow, its mind was instinctively connected to the four forbidden places.
In particular, its connection with one of them, the closest one, was the most apparent.
An intense emotion flashed in the Archdevil corpse’s eyes.
Its figure vanished. When it erged again, the corpse was standing next to a large valley covered in gray flas.
A hateful expression flashed across its face as it brought up its bloody left hand and was about to strike at the array.
But just then, a cold voice echoed in its ears:
"Insolent!"
"How dare you?!", a loud shout rang before an inexplicable power arrived.
Under its control, the body of the Archdevil was easily wiped out.
But the next mont, a crimson light flashed, and it recovered.
Appearing in the distance, it stared towards the sky and growled, before rushing away.
The owner of the previous power seed to have expected this. They attacked once again, but it led to the sa result.
The Archdevil corpse soon recovered, resuming its escape.
Helpless, the opponent could only chase after it, launching attacks from a distance and wiping it out countless tis.
Soon, the 173rd Layer of the Demon World was plunged into chaos.
Two inexplicably powerful beings wandered across its lands, destroying countless Devil cities along the way.
--
Not far away from the place where everything started—the Hollow—a crimson droplet of blood could be seen lying on the ground.
At first, it lay motionless, as if it were completely dead.
But as soon as the aura of the Archdevil disappeared, it began to squirm.
Elongating, it twisted and slowly took shape. Soon, it transford into a human.
