To this day, Liora could not understand how the System worked.
She couldn’t be sure if it was created by soone or was perhaps a talent that only she possessed and was presented in such a way.
Though she might have ignored it in the past, this didn’t an that she was oblivious to its strangeness.
"I’m so close to becoming a Greater Devil, yet the System still remains a complete mystery..."
"I doubt that becoming a Greater Devil is enough."
"Perhaps I can only understand the truth after becoming an Archdevil or even an Ancient Devil."
Thinking of this, Liora’s resolve to improve her Devil stage grew even stronger.
Blindly pursuing combat power was aningless after all. Only by improving her stage would she undergo a transformation and get a deeper insight into everything.
Recalling her next course of action, she understood that she could not wait any longer.
She had wasted enough ti in the Northern Lands, and even though she had obtained hundreds of Master souls, she had no reason to waste any more ti.
With that in mind, her consciousness moved, and she summoned Rose. After a slight pause, she also called over the old man, whose na she had long forgotten.

A few days later, Liora silently left the Blood Devil Sect, only informing Rose and the elderly Master about her departure.
She was not worried about the sect’s safety. Pretty much all the Masters in the Northern Lands had been killed at the Grandmaster Summit, and the few that remained were of no threat.
The Northern Lands stretched seemingly infinitely.
However, with Liora’s strength, it only took her a few days to reach the border, despite carrying Ophis with her.
While flying, she didn’t forget to ask Ophis several questions.
So of these questions this woman answered, while so of which she expressed ignorance to, whether feigned or not.
Still, Liora was able to get so valuable information.
"I don’t know how the Divine Race ca to be."
"It’s rumored that we are the descendants of the people who left for the upper world.", Ophis explained, and so youthful pride shone on her face as she spoke.
"As for why the Divine Race gathers in the Central Area, it’s fairly simple: only the Central Area possesses Divine Aura."
"In fact, it used to be called Divine Domain. Only by entering the Divine Domain can people beco stronger."
Liora did not comnt on the first part of her words.
She had no way of confirming this ancient rumor, though she suspected that it was, at least partly, true.
After all, during her descent, Liora had seen that this world was surrounded by two higher-level worlds.
Since that’s the case, it ca as no surprise that they would be related.
As for the Divine Aura...
Liora’s eyes narrowed.
The mont she left the Northern Lands behind, she sensed a peculiar change happening in the world around her.
An ordinary person would have never noticed the shift.
But having regained her True Devil power, Liora had noticed a strange type of energy perating through the air, an energy different from any other she had encountered in the past.
Just when she was planning to investigate, Liora suddenly turned her head towards Ophis.
At that mont, she sensed the strange energy enter her body out of its own accord.
Then, a golden light shone on her shoulder, and her severed right hand began to recover, granulating and growing once again.
"Is this energy the source of the Indestructible Matter-like substance?"
"No wonder these people don’t leave the Central Area for long."
"It is only in the Central Area that these people can recover. Otherwise, they are not much different from Warriors...", Liora realized, and she subconsciously couldn’t help but raise her head.
"World Origin. Evil Spirits."
"Indestructible Matter. Divine Race."
"It seems that this journey will give great surprises.", she muttered.

The Ouroboros Clan did not have many mbers. In total, there were only tens of thousands of people in its ranks.
Yet, as one of the Nine Divine Clans and the rulers of the Central Area, the Ouroboros Clan’s mansion looked more like a capital city rather than a mansion.
Several guards wearing serpent-patterned armor patrolled the periter, while a team of soldiers stood motionless at the entrance, like stone statues.
Since the mansion was part of a city, the nearby residents stared at these guards with awe and admiration.
Still, nobody dared to step forward and start a conversation, as the guards’ solemn and threatening faces threw them off.
Suddenly, one of the motionless guards moved. He ignored the pedestrians and raised his head to look at the sky, while his companions next to him did the sa.
Seeing the black point in the otherwise blue sky approach the mansion, the man yelled:
"Stop! Entry into the Ouroboros Mansion is prohibite—"
Before the guard could finish his words, a person landed in front of the gate.
It was a middle-aged man covered in blood who tightly held an unconscious young woman in his hands.
Both of them were seriously injured, as the bottom part of the woman was missing, revealing the bones and internal organs along her waist.
"Idiot! Why are you blocking my way? Don’t you see that Lady Ophis is seriously injured?"
"Are you going to take responsibility if she dies?", the injured middle-aged man roared as he ignored the guards and rushed into the mansion.
The guard who had just spoken opened his mouth and was about to stop him, wanting to remind him of the rules.
But before he could do so, another, older guard shook his head and gestured for him to give up.
Unlike his younger companion, the older guard could recognize the two people.
He rembered that a group of young people had left the mansion less than a month ago, with the goal of sightseeing.
Originally, their return was expected to take a couple more weeks.
However, when he saw the injured pair and thought of the missing people, he couldn’t help but shake his head.
"Sothing serious has happened."
"There were several Priests’ descendants among the group of people. If this is not handled well... the Ouroboros Clan will be plunged into chaos."
